Much love and respect to your parents, who raised you so well. That they accepted your journey to meet your bio parents and even met them is a testimony to their kindness. They are such amazing parents to you and your brother!
Been watching snippets of this journey of finding your birth parents over the years, and each time my heart goes out to Mama T. Can't believe it's been 10 years now, and despite the distance and the challenges in communicating with her, your relationship is growing stronger. Misha is just a joy, and you must be so grateful to be able to reconnect with him and your half-siblings! Much appreciation for Mum and Dad Gilbert, they raised a wonderful person in you, Alex!
Your birth parents significant others also seem like really good people. It could not have been easy finding out your spouse’s long lost child was back.
Hi Alex! I remember I had followed your discovery journey some years ago but somehow I didn't think of you in years... until today. I was on the bus on my way home after work and I thought about your birth mother and the time you met your birth father and I hoped you all are okay and enjoying life. Greetings from Mexico City!
I'm so happy for you. And your journey and for helping others. Bless you when you were so nervous what a challenge in a different language and super young and enthusiastic. Super tough. You look so like your biological Dad. Glad you made the connections and love your enthusiasm. There are good people in the world and your New Zealand parents are amazing also, thankfully there are people like your families that supported you and others and you had the courage to go there many don't. But it seems to have brought a lot joy into all your lives and others spread the love 😍
Aw Alex this is so lovely to look back on, I remember watching a lot of these videos with great nerves and excitement, almost going through it with you - you are such a lovely young man and i am sure your Russian family are all so proud of you! You did a great, courageous thing connecting with them and allowing all of us to share it- thank you!
I remember this! OMG 11 years already?! I did notice your mom was a bit cold, but I think she was just filled with guilt, probably embarrassment, but she shouldn't. You had an amazing life, and your NZ parents are so amazing for supporting this. I just love love that you and your dad are close. He really since day 1 when you met him, is in love with you
It's always wonderful to see you with your Mom and Dad. You light up when you see them. God bless your New Zealand Mom and Dad for raising you as they did. I'd say they did pretty darn great. God bless you all. 💗💗😊😊👍👍
