I found Air, Land, & Sea while trying to invent my own card game. My idea didn't have "flip" or "covered" but put 2 columns per player per theatre. While looking online for "effect" ideas I came across AL&S. This game is almost exactly what I'd make if I made a card game. Very cool, thanks for the video!
Taught this game to someone recently. I rephrase the Withdraw mechanism as a poker ante. Seemed to introduce a more familiar concept to one of the more unique aspects of the game
If you're referring to the backs of the cards, I thought the same, but then realized that if they had done that, you couldn't mix the games together, without knowing which suits the cards were from during play.
It is. If you’d think it’s actually 6x5x4, that would be if the order of the 3 chosen theaters actually mattered. It doesn’t so you could then divide by the total sequences the 3 chosen theaters could make (which is 6), and you get 6x5x4/6 = 5x4 = 20.

Are the card abilities different in all of these versions?
I hope they release this expansion using the Critters art. I'll hold off on buying this expansion until they do. Otherwise, looks great. Thanks Tom!
