Welcome back to ITALY!! After jumping off the cruise we decided we wanted some more pasta and pizza so we headed straight to the Rome airport to pick up a car and explore the beautiful area of Tuscany - where should we head to next?

Lucky to live in a walled town and woul totally recommend it + the whole area! It's called Anghiari, near Arezzo, and the valley is called Valtiberina. Less touristy and the rest of the region!
Absolutely beautiful video, I think the little "hummingbirds" you saw were actually hummingbird moths! They fly similar and eat very similarly so they're confused for hummingbirds quite a lot!!
Really loved the cascading spring, how cool was that! Loved the houses/ rooms you stayed at, especially with it’s own courtyard. The views at the first place you stayed at were stunning! Next time ,you must also visit LIVORNO ♥️🇮🇹 ( a beatiful and very important Town)and taste the " cacciucco livornese"( a soap of fish 👍)a true gastronomic excellence of Tuscany.Furthermore you must visit Volterra, Suvereto, Bolgheri and many others places in TUSCANY. Ciao

Wonderful travels again! We also did the self drive tour in Tuscany. We have such fond memories of San Gimignano. We stayed in a little hotel - very close to the gelato shop. La Cisterna. Hope you enjoyed every minute!

That’s a hummingbird moth. So many layers of history and natural wonders. We stayed at Agro Tourismo, ancient mill turned to organic farm and fabulous inn using old out buildings. Woke up in spring to so many snails on everything. Hauntingly magical. The marble pits are 24 hours running cutting walls into massive slabs from ‘rooms with no roof.’ Made me Happy like that song mentioning rooms with no roofs that was popular at the time. Pharrell Williams under his Smokey the Bear hat.

I wondered about that! I love hummingbirds and belong to fb groups but I’d never seen one like that! Never knew about moths.

There are no hummingbirds in Europe, they are night moth butterflies, e.g. Hyles gallii or Macroglossum stellatarum.
