Welcome to our final episode here in the Italian Dolomites honestly it has been such a dream come true, when you have a spot SO HIGH on your bucket list and then it delivers means its somewhere special! We have ONE more vlog left in our little Europe trip before we head somewhere new! Hope you have all been enjoying it :)
I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but the last few videos have had, "New frames need analyzing; click Analyze." This seems to happen right in the middle of the video. Anyway, I absolutely love seeing those beautiful, sweeping views!
My 8 year old grandson watched this episode with me and even he was mesmerized by the gorgeous scenery! Since I returned from Fiji two weeks ago he assumed Italy might be our next destination. I laughed and said no but I sure would love to! Great photography!
4:20 something: the permits. Yeah, You might wonder why, but You should keep in mind that the ecosystem of the Dolomites is very fragile, and thanks to the social medias feeds, the tourism usually tends to be a day or two at best in the same spot, and then drive somewhere else close by. Thousands of cars moving up the roads, and tons of motorbikes running fast because the roads are perfect speedways. We cannot figure out how to tone down this quick-tourism (yep, I live here). Therefore there are plenty of attempt to make tourist benefit from the local transportation, with discounts and for longer stays too. Like it's the hotel who pays for the transportation, IF You stay there. You know, one should stay in a spot longer to fully appreciate it. You cannot just go to the lake to take a selfie as a proof you were there and then move away. Advices for anyone who wants to do the same: check with the local offers on their websites, and above all, plan a longer stay in these beautiful places, don't take the bite at going everywhere in just a week. Explore locally. Stay and relax. We know how to treat You WELL.
Always feel like I'm traveling with you when I see your vlog! Been 2 years off coz i was studying and now Hunter already grown up and baby Koa is there! Hats off to keep traveling the world :):)
Thank you so much for showing this region! I don't understand why it isn't covered more by travel vloggers and not just extreme hikers, but it's near the top of my bucket list now. Also that running shot you got of Hunter in the last vid that is in this intro is one of your best shots of her ever. Hope to see it in more vids!
Being from Lithuania which is mostly flat I can agree with you - mountains are my favourite. But also nice blue beaches as the Baltic sea is not so much blue. This episode is amazing and I'm envious 😅😅
Oh what a great series of episodes on the beauty of the Italian Alps. It shows you how popular Italy is, never mind about the hike you always find something to entertain us all. We will follow you anywhere you know, as you guys are the best and we so much enjoy your expeditions, tours and travels. Take care, be safe and God Bless you all.
I love the reference to lake Louise. Lake Louise has become equally as difficult to get to since Covid hit. If you’re not there early you aren’t getting parking and have to book a bus ticket a day ahead. I gotta say the views were spectacular and actually does remind you of lake Louise. Such a fun memory for you and your family
@@flyingthenest in the winter you might have an easier time finding parking. I went twice, I took a friend visiting from another country and we snowshoed on the lake in February and managed to get right in and park on the upper tier. I went again in the fall, got there before 9am and could not park. Had to park half way down the hill and follow a beautiful path to the lake. Keep in mind it’s a beautiful hike up. The tickets you can order online and you go to the ski hill for pick up. But since the ski hill might be open. They might have different options available. Either way worth a shoot trying to park
My 20-year-old son has returned from a summer trekking with friends in the Austrian mountains, and I couldn't be prouder. Like you, my husband and I always prioritised travelling ( mostly budget) with our children, and we have certainly instilled a love of adventure in them! Incidentally, he experienced a missile attack drill in Tapei for the day ( the city went underground and silent for 30 mins) and flash flooding in the mountains that destroyed his car rental, but he came home safely.
Italian law says that while sailing/motorboating in rivers and lakes, one lifejacket per person is mandatory to have on board. But weirdly enough, it does not say anything specific about rowing boats. So in this case, they were given just a life buoy.. I would have asked them directly about this. Thankfully this lake is very calm and those boats dont flip easily, but with little kids it would be more responsible to provide lifejackets
To answer your question: definitely mountains! I have absolutely loved them all my life. I have big dreams to make it over that way one day. Love watching your travels…. Especially the ones in the mountains 🥰 Regards, a Sydney mum
Thank you so much for sourcing such a great free trial of headspace. I was just thinking about starting meditation and this is going to help me so much. I am loving these Italy vlogs I really want to visit Italy at some point.
Yes! As a Sydneysider, I believe we have the best beaches in Australia. So when travelling, for me too, it’s the mountains. I was blown away when we went to Banff in winter and wanted to go back and do the Rocky Mountaineer in Autumn. Now I have the Dolomites on my bucket list.
You talk like this because Australia is very big and obviously has a lot of beaches. And you don't know the Italian ones: try to look at those of Sardinia, Puglia... Or the Island of Elba, Giglio, Argentario. Then you tell me if they are less beautiful than the Australian ones. I bet you'll be amazed. Before making a judgment, it is necessary to know. And I didn't mention the beauty of the beaches of the Cinque Terre and the Amalfi Coast, unique in the world and a World Heritage Site. For Sardinia, look for and look at the "Costa Smeralda".
What an uplifting video! You captured the beauty of the Dolomites so well. I have now put Lago di Braies on my bucket list to visit. Absolutely gorgeous! Love, love, love the cover pic of Hunter and Jess in their matching dresses in the rowboat! 💞
I feel the exact same! I’m from Perth as well and just did the Dolomites and the Valtellina region in Italy, in October, and couldn’t get over the beautiful mountains. Our family from the area didn’t get our awe and kept suggesting for us to see the coast haha Love the videos!
Hunter looks so much like Jess and Koa looks so much like Steven. Your family is just beautiful, with so much love, joy, and happiness. The pictures of your family taken on the beach in Perth are absolutely gorgeous. They should all be framed and up on the wall at your spectacular home in Perth.
Oh my goodness! The beautiful Mountains and Steven's final jaunt, WOW!! I cracked up watching Hunter try to navigate eating pasta and enjoyed her good humor about the process. Koa is growing up so fast! My heat goes out to him with his car sickness. I too was a car sick kid, so much so that my family gave me my own can to hold between my knees just in case. It even had my name on it!!
I'm loving these videos so much!! So amazing to be able to feel like I'm right there along with you guys, exploring the world! I need to start writing my bucket list!! Thanks always ❤
Happy Saturday! What a fantastic end to your Dolomites adventure! Hunter is always a delight, more and more every day. She's so funny and sassy, roasting Jess about her rowing! And it's so amazing to see Koa grow and really start to enjoy the experiences. His little personality is really starting to shine through, and I think this video is the first time I've noticed that I think he has... dimples? 🥰
Tourists coming to Italy should not only visit Rome, Venice or Florence, they should also visit these places that are unique in the world, of extraordinary beauty !
The mountains are home, but the first time I saw the desert I was dumbfounded. It was in Texas and I was so amazed. Those views from your hotel were breathtaking.
Hello from Chattanooga Tennessee. Beautiful places in Italy. Coa is walking around and having fun with Hunter. Food looks great. Thank you for sharing your time with me. 😊😊😊🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Food is definitely the reason I travel! Living in the mountains of Western Canada gives me stunning nature and wildlife, but I crave food-Italian, Mexican, French, Argentinian, etc.
Thnku again for sharing another wonderfully stunning video of such glorious scenery and leþing us go along with u guys in ur family life xx Be safe in ur travels many blessings
Stunning! I’ve been a casual viewer for a while, but have been catching up on a lot of your videos over the Christmas period. Love seeing your little ones take all the new experiences in their stride! But just one query… “apple orchids”? Do you mean “apple orchards”? 🙃
Wauw your fantastic Drone / Camera shots 😍😍😍😍😍 absolutely wonderful Aww Jess you’re matching Dresses with Hunter just so sweet ❤. What a Fantastic trip It just amazes me the Beauty of the Mountains there and How lucky you were with the Weather 😜. Koa just so cute hearing his Chat. And seeing Hunter helping him up the stairs Your Europe Road trip has been just breathtaking all the way 😊 looking forward to where you’re off to what the next adventures are 😜. Safe Travels 🥰
Another fellow Perth follower here. Yes, the mountains are definitely amazing to us. I have only seen The Remarkables in NZ, but I plan to see Banff in Canada. Italy is on our list to see, and I will now be putting the Dolimites on the list.
WOW!!! That was amazing, that blows Park City Utah out of the water and that some of the hotels are and the gondola are built to look like places like these. Koa and Hunter crack me up! I love those two little ones. Those lakes wow, the food yum! and Stephen that adventure looked CRAZY fun!! The Dolomites and Italy in general is now a MUST go to on my bucket list. I wonder if I could take a month off work just to hit up all the places in Italy I want too hmm...
I'm like you guys, the thing that makes me go wow are mountains, and alpine lakes! I'm from Australia too and our mountains really can't compare to that of North America and Europe! 😍 Was also great to see what was at the top of that mountain at Gardena Pass, I went there last year, but that chairlift was closed and I was catching the bus and didn't want to miss it so I never finished the hike lol
Another great video! You guys are the best at what you do! Your videos are so inspiring. Off to the Dolomites!!!! I can say that about every trip you go on. LOL

Places you go and how you present them for us! Hope you never stop traveling "with us". 😍

Hallo from Split, Croatia 🇭🇷🍉
The landscape is breathtaking. Your kids are so precious and awesome little travelers. You guys are doing an amazing job as parents.
