    Arezzo is sop underrated.
    Monte san Savino, Cortona , and all the casentino valley are precious and full of history, but most of all , really not busy and enjoyable, price reflect that .

      Hai ragione perché Arezzo è un città interessante, ma anche la mia LIVORNO è un po' sottovaluta eppure c'è un lungomare tra i più estesi ed affascinanti d'EUROPA, il suggestivo ( specialmente by night) quartiere di Venezia, il Museo Civico FATTORI e lo splendido SANTUARIO di MONTENERO, raggiungibile con la funicolare, con un panorama mozzafiato! Invece sono riprese sempre le solite 3/4 città...ma in realtà in Toscana ci sono almeno 20/25 luoghi da visitare. Saluti.

    Hello Stefano, love your video. I've been to Florence several times and love everything about it. I traveled to Lucca on my last trip and have to disagree about this area. It was very difficult walking inside the main area, was getting lost on the tiny streets and alleys, and didn;t find the experience very enjoyable. It was also at least an hour and a half away from Florence by train!

      Thanks for your feedback. Really appreciated. I love how we are all different. Lucca is one of the Tuscan towns I actually love the most. That is what I always say on my website and videos, we all like places in a different way. Again, thanks for your comment

    Thanks for the video. Any suggestions where to stay if go to Tuscany for a month?

    • @StefanoFerro
      @StefanoFerro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No worries. It really depends on the month I believe.
      If in summer, I would stay in a town close to the sea, in this way you can take easy half-day trips to the beach. Pisa and Lucca are great options in this respect.
      In Autumn I would stay in Siena, close to some amazing wineries, great to experience the busiest time of the year, when they pick up the grapes and make the wine.
      In winter, Florence, well connected to everywhere in Tuscany and the busiest place in Tuscany (but far from the busy time of summer)
      Arezzo is a great option for spring if you prefer to be far from the crowd experiencing the local life.
      I hope I was able to help out
      Cheers

    Stefano, wife and I are looking for a place to stay between our time in Florence and Rome as we close out our three week trip to Italy. Looking at Arezzo. Would love to know why you mention as a romantic destination. Love your videos.

    • @StefanoFerro
      @StefanoFerro  12 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Romantic because the historical centre is so beautiful but not as touristy as the other cities in Tuscany. Still expect narrow lanes, cobblestone streets, local tavernas, etc. Another town you should consider between Rome and Florence is Orvieto. It's in Umbria, just a few km from Tuscany. I love it. It's located on top of a small hill reachable with a sort of cable car from the train station. The old centre is once again so beautiful.
      Enjoy your trip

    I wonder where is best and inexpensive to do a long-term rental in Lucca, Pisa or Arrezzo for retired couples? Of course, no car and using public transport.

    • @StefanoFerro
      @StefanoFerro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Without a car ....I would say Pisa. Arezzo if you prefer a more charming town, although Posa is so well connected

    • @MarcoArezzo76

      Arezzo of course, so many people from all over the world came here to stay... But "the city of gold" is not so cheap.

    Just back from a week in San Quirico d’Orcia. Great location but you do need a car. The surrounding countryside is fantastic. Pienza is lovely, Montalcino and Montepulciano are both very good. Siena is ok but very very busy however the Duomo di Siena makes the visit worthwhile as it’s stunning.

    • @StefanoFerro
      @StefanoFerro  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi John, it looks like you had a blast there. Wonderful part of the world.
      Indeed it can all be done with local transportation. Having a car gives more flexibility of course, but public transportation is good as well.
      Totally agree on Siena, unmissable, but busy

    • @StefanoFerro

      Pisa is not only about the tower and the cathedral. There is more than that in the old town. Certainly is not as beautiful as Siena or Florence
