Australia is a big country- however it is highly governed. In my seventy years I’ve seen it worsening and for the past seven years my small camper has been my home. I’d love to find a place again to grow my food as I’m proficient in that, but the situation is such that it’s highly unlikely. So I take it one day at a time, grateful when I can find a peaceful place to camp.
I actually thought that it was mainly in small countries like where I live, that it was so difficult to find a peaceful and private place in nature - where it would also be allowed to camp. Scary to hear that everything is so governed everywhere, even in large countries, where there is otherwise enough space. Well, your camper life sounds attractive anyway. Thanks for sharing 🙂
A long time ago i already dreamt about living off grid , but i was too scared to leave everything behind. I had my job and daily routines witch gave me a feeling of securety . But at the same time is saw how people become shallow, living and working for that car or luxury vacation, that is not how i want to live. Now years later, i lost by circumstances everything i loved and worked for. So now there are almost no reasons for me to stay, it is still a bit scary but i rather be in nature and have nothing than the alternative option. Now it's just a matter of close off this chapter and take the leap of faith, pack my bag and go somewhere quiet in nature and build my new life.
Hi, and thanks for your honest comment. I can really relate to that, and I'm pretty sure a lot of people can. This fear of leaving the safe and secure and entering the uncertain and unpredictable, it seems to be a natural human characteristic. But sometimes life takes turns that make the decisions (almost) for us. It may be that it is a gift, but you always have to take the last step yourself. After moving out into nature years ago, today I feel the exact opposite. Now it is my safe home, where I know who I am. To have to leave this would for me today be the greatest sorrow. I can feel in my stomach that I hope you do the right thing for yourself and that you will succeed. Good luck and have a great life out there 🙂

In my opinion, money is not a value in itself. They are a means of gaining access to first and foremost survival (based on the way our society works today) and then access to the things you want in life. If what you want is to move out and live in nature, then money will definitely be a subject that you have to take into account 🙂
I dont want to live off-grid to leave society. It is other way around. I want to enjoy fruits of society andy own fruits together. We just have to mend many of our ways to live in the balance.
Absolutely. For most people, moving out and living isolated in a forest is not the right solution, quite the opposite. Changing some of the way we live in modern society, and then finding a balance in life, is undoubtedly important. And after all, if everyone moved out into the forest, it wouldn't be so calm and peaceful anymore 😂

Amen, find the soul, find freedom.
@@b1rdp3rson42 So true 🙂
I love the way you put it- the different definitions of freedom and security.
@@mana_station I'm glad you notice that. For me, it is probably also one of the most important things to be aware of in yourself 😊

Yes, indeed it is.
It’s never too late.. Even death is an exit..
True, but then it wouldn't be "living" off grid 🙃

If I were broke with no prospects, why not. Money is better. Period.
