    Cheers, mate. I really appreciated this video.
    I found that the hard section of the hot side came out easy. If I took it to the front of the vehicle and turned it towards the passenger side, it just dropped out.
    Thanks again.

      No dramas, yep mine took a bit of force but definitely doable for everyone with the right maneuvering.

    Your video was helpful in that it gave me some insight before tackling the job first time. But I replaced all hoses from the top I didn`t remove the bash plate. I removed the airbox from the engine bay which opened field of sight and gave easy access to the bolt holding the hard pipe and the clamps on the turbo. The hard pipe came out without any problem. With the airbox out doing the hot side hoses was as easy as the cold side hose. I also replaces the hose from airbox to turbo. I bought 3 SAAS silicone hoses on ebay for under $300

      Yes this method is recommended from memory but for me it would have meant the snorkel connection falling into the wheel well, which means having to take all of that off to refit the snorkel.
      Plenty of ways to skin a cat 😺

      Thanks mate. Will try to grow it but since I don't just do 4wd stuff it will stunt the growth.
      One day I might create different channels for different topics but cbf just yet.

    G’day mate
    Have a 2016 PX 2 Ranger
    Just did the cold side/EGR clean/pipes etc.
    wasn’t too bad as I’ve run a catch can since new.
    Plazmaman hoses are the best for this job
    Now for the hot side 😢
    Or 🍺
    Love ya work 👍🇦🇺

      Thanks mate, hot side is a bit of a pain to get out but it just requires some force and playing with the angles.

      Pretty easy the hot side just take the intake off and turn the wheel to get access to the wheel well !

    Cheers mate, you're video gave me the inspiration, I also undid the airbox and replaced the intake pipe as well with SAAS part no. SSH2301, removed the OEM intake and got access to the hot side pipe. Was pretty easy once the drivers rubber flap was lifted in the wheel arch, used a 10mm on a wobbly extension to remove the bolt, and 7or 8mm on wobbly to remove the clamp on turbo and then lifted the whole hotside assembly out whole, from the top and just bending the u shape in. Nice induction noise now aand throttle responnse seems better, did you notice any other benefits? Thanks for video.

      Hey mate, can't say I noticed any differences with this specifically because I did this, the throttle body clean and the exhaust all at the same time basically. So it felt better but I'd guess it was mostly the exhaust that changed the feel of the car.
      All 3 jobs related though in a way as they're all air flow improvements.

    Can you give a more detailed explanation of how you removed the hard pipe from the engine bay after disconnecting it? I’m not having any luck taking it out

    • @TheBrowneTown
      @TheBrowneTown  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can't remember exactly but you need to separate every single piece. It won't come out without touching things, as in there's no special way to twist it where it comes out.
      It was basically done through force at the angle I thought had the least amount needed to clear the spot that was hitting the chassis etc.

      @@TheBrowneTown do you remember if it came out from underneath or from the top of the engine bay?

    • @TheBrowneTown
      @TheBrowneTown  ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely from underneath the car.
      It was a long time ago now but I was under the car, bent it a few ways and in one way it was hitting something but I was able to force it out past the blockage.

    Are the hose on the hot side touching the power steering fluid hose ?

    • @TheBrowneTown
      @TheBrowneTown  ปีที่แล้ว

      There's at least a finger width between them, maybe a touch more.

      @@TheBrowneTown Thanks bro, I have old PX2 almost hit 200K km just need a few bit a piece to be replace. How about intercooler it self did yours have been upgraded?

    • @TheBrowneTown
      @TheBrowneTown  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Haven't changed the intercooler at this stage. Not sure if I will or not, got the oil cooler on the front for transmission oil so not sure if they'll clash.
      Maybe one day though.
