Turn OFF Tire Pressure Light!! TPMS Reset on BMWs. EASY FIX

Tire light bugging you? Here is how to turn it off. It is a simple reset you should do when get a light from changing tires or updating tire pressures.
1. Turn key to position 2 (car not running)
2. Press and hold Tire Pressure button
3. Wait until light turns yellow
4. Release button and take it for a drive.
5. You're done

This also worked on a 2001 Z3 M Roadster. The TPM button is just below the tachometer and to the left of the steering wheel. Thanks! 😃👍

front rims are 19X8.5 with 35 offset and back 19x9.5 with 35 offset Front tires are 235/35/19 rear are 275/30/19

Second question is, are your tires badly worn or mismatched. The reason this is a potential issue is that the Z4 doesn't actually monitor your tire pressure, it monitors the revolutions of the tire. That is impacted by the diameter. Then if it sees that one tire is spinning at a different rate than recorded or expected, it assumes it is a flat. So are all your tires (particularly left to right) the same diameter? Is one maybe a spare tire? Or one tire far newer than the rest? The miss match in sizes can throw the error. (I am not saying this is your issue, but if the pressures are the same, tire diameter is the next culprit to check.) Good luck.

@@FarReachFR do you know if the wheel alignment is a big job on the x5 mate?

@@jeoffbarrat1101 I can't say on the X5. I haven't worked on one, Nor have I done its alignment. So depending on what level of alignment you are looking for it could be easy or more difficult. Easy would be, adjusting the front toe. I expect the X5 has nuts on the front control arms that readily point the tire out or in depending on what you like. Also I am confident that Rear camber can be adjusted with the rear eccentric nut. But as to accuracy, that is the key. Eye balling it is fine, if that is all you need. But a true alignment with a monitoring machine is usually more precise than that. Not sure if this helps, but there you go.

@@2good4soccer The issue in this instance wasn't a flat or puncture, I just changed tires to a different brand/size thus it needed to be reset to the new tires. Nothing really to do other than to reset after the swap.
