Good question! I bought one of these a year ago and that sae to usb box was nowhere to be found. It's also worth pointing out that this video is from 2020. Yeah, where IS that part??
I have the same problem :( … No QuadLock SAE to be found. They say it’s the problem of different batteries and that they don’t provide an universal SAE.
@@michachwastowski3593 That makes next to no sense, especially when looking at the specs on the SAE. That thing reads like it would work with anything. I'm pretty sure none of us who bought these units were happy to discover that they require additional components in order to work. I personally sort of feel scammed.
Tip from an old cable tech: the electrical tape around the connections is good for moisture prevention, but to prevent cable seperation, throw zip ties on either end, too tight to slip over the connectors, then a 3rd between the two to hold them together.
Hey please, I’m having the same issue, I have ordered one through the Aussie website and just received it today to realize there is no ring terminal adapter in the box . Cannot find it anywhere on the web . Looking for a quádrica original adapter like yours! Thanks

how does the iphone do with wireless charging with the Quad Lock case on? I've got one on my phone but I want to know if its still going to work with a wireless charger before I go buy one... I want to get one for beside my bed with apple watch stand so I can just lay the phone down - dont need the quad lock mount

Thanks for posting the video I use quad lock on my bicycle but use a custom made magnet mount on my MT-07. My only complaint with the quadlock mount is it can be awkwardly hard to reach around the bigger phones to depress the spring and then turn the phone to release with only one hand. I'd like to be able to switch from portrait to landscape one handed with gloves while rolling. I see when in portrait the sides for the spring loaded tabs stick out past the phone so you can reach them but when in landscape can you swap back to portrait or remove the phone with only one hand? I was considering the non water proof wireless head because I don't ride in the rain and it doesn't look like it requires you to press down on a spring to rotate the phone. I know it is less secure but as long as the phone doesn't want to rotate(uncommon force on a street bike) it shouldn't come off. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
@@FarhanKapadia that wouldn't really solve the problem and in fact make it even worse when the phone was vertical. For reference I went ahead and bought the non waterproof model and just siliconed all the openings to make it waterproof. Now I can mount my phone one handed but it lacks the extra security from accidentally rotating the phone which ain't going to happen outside of a crash. If I crash, my phone ejecting is the last of my worries.

Hey! Thanks for the vid! Quick question, do you use the waterproof poncho on the phone when it’s raining and mounted? I hate my poncho but I was worried the phone may break in rain but also if a rock hits the cameras and scratches it
I'm reading this is killing some iphones cameras. I've got an street twin, and i'm about to order it... got an iphone xs. Just want to know if you get some trouble with the cameras of your phone because of the vibrations of the handlebar.
Yea man it happened to me. Mainly the iPhone 11 is where the issue lies. Apple changed the IS (image stability) over in 35 mins while I waited free of charge, but quadlock now have a shock proof mount to fix the issue. It isn’t just Quadlock that screws with the camera though, any other mount would do the same
Moto Feelz thank you for the answer. I might wait to the dampened mount then. I would like to take the oportunity to say you’re doing a great job with your channel. You’re the Peter McKinnon of the motoblogs, loving the style. Keep it this way mate.
Stupid design to have a USB anywhere in the system, either make a cable that is hardwired to the head with an inline fuse that you can connect to a switched accessory, or hook it up directly to the battery with a relay in the system that kills power when the bike is off. Whoever designed this doesn't ride a motorcycle. I am also not convinced that water will never get into the USB-C connection at the charging head, hence a hardwire connection there.
WTF, the original box doesn't come with the power supply. WTF! What a shitty product!!! Quadlock is now saying they don't know where I can get the power supply. Piece of crap
NOT WIRELESS!! Still requires it to be connected to the battery so it's false claim. Wireless should be no wire and should only have one for charging it at home or by a battery pack. Definitely don't want to plug anything into my motorcycle electrics could cause issues.
Wireless as in you don’t need to plug your phone in for it to charge. Not a false claim at all. Everything powered needs to be wired to the battery somehow or else how would it get power? This unit is totally fine to connect to your battery. Definitely won’t cause issues if you know what your doing, otherwise take it to your local technician to be installed.
