I added the Quadlock to my 2020 Heritage Softail after the Ram Mount nearly lost my Note 9 on the road once. I have also added the vibration damper to my mount and just finished a 2500 mile ride and had no issues with my phone, or the mount.

Love the Quadlock set-up, have been using one for 2 years. But after getting a new iPhone 11 just a month later my camera was cooked. Apple fixed the phone under warranty and it was after I found out about the vibration issues for some of the newer phones. Hmmm I was like you and temped to go back to using my old iPhone 7, but.... One thing I did was move the phone mount location to get the phone out of any wind pressure and more tucked behind my faring (which means the phone now sits sideways for clearance issues) and unless I am needing the phone for GPS, I keep the phone in my pocket as most of the phone functions I can do via voice activation. But recently I added 2" risers to my bars which along with the addition of the vibration damping piece (hey kids, guess what Pop wants for Christmas the Quad lock dampner!) this will give me enough clearance to have the phone back to being positioned correctly. One thing about Quadlock which impressed me, My new iPhone 11 quad lock case cracked after a couple months and after contacting them, they express shipped a new case to my right away. I have found their c/s team to be excellent. Keep up with the great content.
That's good to know about Quadlock - can't beat great customer service! It would probably be a good idea to get an vibration dampener anyway as OIS has always had problems with excessive high frequency vibrations. This is sometimes quite a problem with expensive DSLR cameras.
I ruined the camera on my iPhone 11 by having it mounted to my bars and riding on a rough rocky dirt road for about 7 miles. I wish I would have removed it from the mount before heading down that road! Now it shakes and makes a crackling noise when trying to take a photo, I need to get it replaced probably. I was using it for the map directions. I see that the Quadlock vibrates, does that make it hard to see the screen? Thanks for the review.

Maybe I’ll just keep my old iPhone. Lol. Catching up on some of your videos since subscribing. Great tip. I was just getting ready to upgrade my iPhone. I have the Ciro3d mount and love it but, if the new phones are sensitive maybe I’ll do something different. Thanks for the info 👍👍👍
Thanks for being here! I know Quadlock has a list of phones/bikes on their site that cause issues - so I'd double-check to see if you need it. Definitely don't want to break that new iPhone!
Just purchased... all these things with your code :D Why it took me so long LAWD knows
Yay!! I shouldn't jinx it haha but my phone is still doing good!!
@@MotoBlonde I TRUST THE QUAD
Love my quad locks. Beast of a Product!!
what phone do you use with your quad lock?
Aloha Fam!! iPhone 12 Pro. If you don’t own a quad lock I highly recommend it. Lmk if you have any other questions. 🤙🏾🔥
I run a rokform mount and case. Ran my iphone X for the last 2 1/2 years on an 02 Road Glide with no issues.
We’ll see how it goes with my ip12 pro
Hope this mount works well for you
I know Ewan McGregor ran a quad lock on BMW’s and the HD Livewire on his Long way round, down, up series, so definitely tested over some wild terrain
Awesome! I don’t think Road Glides are on the list of bikes that cause problems - just a small amount of them supposedly do.
I have to check that out I’ve been meaning to watch it!
@Cory , did you buy the vibration dampener on the Rockform ?
And is your phone stil alive?
So far so good!!! 🙌
Is it only iphones that have this problem? I'm using an android
I got a rokform for my first bike and now 4 months later my iPhone 12 camera is broken, it was working fine but I guess just after being on the bike for a while it took it’s toll, I might try a tank bag with a spot for phone
Is this problem with all the Harley Davidson ???
Not all of them and not all phones - but the newer phones with the sensitive cameras tend to break very easily!
How is this working out? great content, keep it up.
So far so good! I put it on the mount every time I go out, even if I don't need the navigation, just to put it to the test.
Keep us updated! Have a iPhone 11 Pro as well and want to use is as a gps
yep, just replaced my iphone 11pro max after a couple thousand miles on the handlebar. camera was toast.
Yikes! I'm glad I learned about it before I ruined mine!
I hope it works phones are very expensive🙏
You're not kidding!
Your Channel popped up on recommended I think you’ve got a good channel
Awesome thank you so much!
Looks like a great setup. Thanks for sharing
Yeah I thought I dropped my phone or something and messed it up. But no it was definitely my cheap Amazon phone mount. Welp now I know.
Love your vid. Just subscribed. ❤️
Thank you!!
I keep my phone in my bag. I have a tom Tom rider moto GPS I use. I don’t want to get work texts when I ride lol. So off and in the bag it goes lol. Nice vid. Well done !
I don't blame you! I try to put it in airplane mode when I have it on the bars now so I don't get distracted
i did the same, whent to a thrift store and found one less than $5. had a sony phone and camera got trashed. so now i carry mine in my pocket and use my smartwatch to check messages.
I've been hearing a lot about this the last few weeks. Seems like a quality product but I feel like the damper shouldn't be an extra purchase considering that is the purpose of the device. Anyhow...great video.
I hear ya! Though I think it is nice for people that have that mount already, don’t have to buy a new one and can just get the dampener.
Literally watched a quad lock ad before video played. 🤣💀
That's why I got the cup holder - 97+hp
Hahaha! I never heard of a "dirt unibrow" before!
I tried a simple mount a few days ago and video captured is unusable due to excessive vibration.
My mount had positive reviews on Amazon.
I thought I read the reviews of cyclists who take their bikes on rough terrain.
Glad I came across this video in my search for a simple video capture solution.
Hi MotoBlonde just wanted to let you know that this video from my end shows that I only watched about 1/3 of this video when in fact I have watched it more then once to see if that red line will show I watched the hole video and Nothig Shows up I dont know if this means to youtube that I didnt watch the hole thing when I have watched it all the way to the end even letting the next one start on its own. Let me know if it affected rating or whetever it is that gives you credit. I hope it doesnt affect you.
lmao, A dirt unibrow? Never heard of it or seen one but I'd like to lol, maybe on your next video lol
@08:35 "if I come back on this video and I'm crying" lol
HAHA lucky!! I always seem to have dirt right on my forehead 😆
Finally got to watch it lol. I Hope this works long term!
I've been throwing it on the bars even if I don't use my phone just to test it and log miles with it. I'll keep everyone updated!
My girlfriend rides a ninja 300 2016 , she killed her iPhone in like 2 weeks riding, now she’s gunshy about mounting her new phone, it’s not JUST the big bikes….food for thought. Gonna share this see if WE can convince her into this product.
So let me understand this correct, the way to stop the vibration is to give it more bigger vibrations.......
haha I guess so! so far it's working!
Friend told me about your channel, great stuff. I am a huge fan of the Ciro 3D but that looks solid. Thanks for sharing and look forward in seeing many more. Ride safe!
Awesome, thank you!
Subscribe! Any updates how’s the mount doing ?
Doing great!! No problems!
Full face helmets, so you can smile while you ride and not get bugs in your teeth 😂😂😂😂
Quad Lock should have distributed the dampener for free for old customers who had believed in their sales pitch and had their mobiles affected - after all the fault was on Quad Lock’s side.
Great review
Thank you!
My phone was ruined by vibrations. Had a quad lock went to another type. Got a new phone afraid to put it on my bike.
Did you have the vibration damper on when it was destroyed?
I love you moto blonde 🎉❤
Had a Droid before it was cool !
You are too funny. Unibrow lmao. I love to see more women riding, it's great. I started following Jess and then your channel popped up. Love both of you. Hope to see your base grow and keep making video and ride safe.
Thank you so much! I love Jess! Thanks for watching!
Really? Oh man never heard of that happening? Had my phone mounted for years and never hurt any one of my iPhones? I use Harley Davidson phone mount.
It's only certain bikes and the newer phones with the sensitive cameras - not all!
Moto Blonde ohhh good to know! my XR is my lifeline haha
My phone's camera got ruined WITH the Quadlock Vibration Dampener. Good luck.
I gave away that same coffee mug in a loot crate.
It's my favorite!
Wow that’s a gigantic helmet
Got to remember phones are not built for these conditions no matter how you look at it.
And using them on a vibrating Harley..Well I'll say no more.
Why not just put it in your pocket and enjoy the ride without answering the phone?
I don’t use it to make calls - just navigation if I need it. But I do have Bluetooth in my helmet in case of emergencies!
