    How did you remove the anti vibration spring that mounts to the cylinder from the handle?

      The intake boot? It just slides off after your remove/loosen the clamp

      I purchased the kit here. www.sawsalvage.co/products/the-dukes-nikasil-coated-piston-and-cylinder-fits-hilti-dsh-700-412245 The kit was well worth the price

    How’s it holding up after all this time? I’ve got the same saw in need of a rebuild, but I’m wary of the aftermarket top end kits.

      It was doing well for about 6 months but the owners worker put straight fuel and it toasted it. Before it was used almost everyday problem free

    How much did you pay for the concrete saw? Also did you felt any damage to the crankshaft bearings with the small chunck of piston falling down there?? I just purchased same model used saw for $150 , owner said it needed new carb only but after doing my inspection found a big hole on the exhaust side of the piston so would be removing the head to inspect further damage to asses if worth repairing or resell for parts.

      I paid about $130 for this kit. I would check and see it the bearings are noisy and the crank has no damage first. I believe you can buy these bearings as well. Personally if the crank is ok i would just get new bearings and seals along with the kit

    Hi all can someone help me...I had my hilti dsh700x repaired and now the off switch doesn't turn it off. I had the ignition coil replaiced, or coil. Should i take it back? is it possible he didn't connect the ground wire to kill the engine. is it possilbe it's something the repair mand did?..much apreciated if you guys can guide me. thanks

      I would check your ground wire. The coil seems to be doing just fine. Could also have a bad switch. Make sure everything in the switch is clean moves freely

      @@PNWSmallEngineandLawn Not too good on mechanics thats why i took it in. It was working before it got repaired. I was thinking of having repairman fix it since it was working before. Is it possible he didn't connect ground wire when he replaced coil

      I believe that is the problem ground isn't making a good connection

    I got the same piston cylinder kit. During the install the piston keeps get stuck out 1/3 of the way into the cylinder. Was there a trick or did you run into the same situation?

    • @PNWSmallEngineandLawn
      @PNWSmallEngineandLawn  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't have this issue but it sounds like the ring is getting stuck in a port. Did you pre oil the cylinder and piston? A kinda trick is using 2 cycle ring compressor. They are plastic bands that can be removed after the piston is already inserted

      @robbie449 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PNWSmallEngineandLawn that’s what I think as well. I did you the piston ring compressor like you talked about. Just seems like the rings get bound up in the ports. I’ll keep trying

    I have a 700x. It starts when you prime it but only run for a few seconds. It will not idle. I took the carb off and cleaned it. I did not have a kit to replace parts. I blew out the ports with compressed air. It still will not idle. Any suggestions.

      Perhaps the vacuum port for the carb is blocked. Maybe a bad filter or pinched lines. It could be bad crank seal

    • @DOPEMANCHEW

      Ya you need to adjust the carb bro.
