Well this project certainly had it's share of problems but you handled them accordingly with your trademark calm and easygoing manner! You're a patient guy Mike. Appreciate you uploading most of the process you go through to get things running as it's very useful and helpful to us guys and gals that love to work on small engines. Don't you just love working in confined spaces like air cleaner/carb boxes? Lol☺
Great video and helped out a lot. You killed me when you installed the chocke wire back. I can't get my chocke to stay when placed. Any help would be great. You also mentioned towards the end that you rerouted the throttle cable to the bottom, as you mentioned in the video? Great video. 👍
It needs to be tuned. The new carb is kinda tuned at the factory but not exactly. I have videos on how to tune a 2 cycle. You can also email me at pnw.smallengineandlawn@gmail.com if you need any specific tool recommendations or instructions

The amount of concrete that fell out when pouring the gass out I love hahaha good video thank you
Ya these saws are always crazy dirty
thank you very much for your video it allowed me to save money We buy a broken machine, cheap, and repair it
Glad to help. I have been known to do the same thing
Great video, if you could please do a video with a more in depth explanation of how to tune the carb thanks much appreciated
I don't have this specific machine anymore but I will be making a general 2 cycle tuning video that should help. The same techniques are used for all

nice video... but, the one thing I really needed = you cheesed out @ about 32:48 when you conquered the choke cable routing and connection .
Thank you. Very helpful
I have a problem with my dsh 600x hilti saw looks like a carb issue. Are the carb parts readily available at local small engine repair shops
They should be. Online would be a good option as well. Local shops will be only providing OEM carbs so they will be expensive
Where did you get that replacement carburetor and gaskets??
I buy them in bulk on Amazon. They have a few standard sizes. Just need to measure the screw width and the intake diameter
My hilti saw starts and runs but when I let off the throttle it dies and the air filter is clean I put in a new carb

What if the primer bulb has 3 connections ?
That is a rare carb. What is the model number

You left a screw laying under the carb.
