I expected Agatha All Along to be a redemption story for Agatha, giving us some understanding why she did the things she did. Well, we found out why allright, but it was redeeming in the slightest. She wasn't like this at all in the comics, so I don't really think they can turn her into her supportive comic counterpart after all that's happened. I think she's sticking with Billy because she knows how powerful he is, and plans to make use of that power to further her own evil plans.
I agrree, that's my thought exactly. I don't really think it's "deal" as some have suggested, but a distraction move on Agatha's part. Which as you said, Rio accused Agatha of doing with Billy. I know Jac has came out in an interview echoing the thoughts in this video, but the fact that many people speculate on this with Rio would suggest that the framing and narrative in this show played a role in this.

I did not watch Agatha week-to-week cause life got busy, but I’ll be honest I didn’t have any expectations for it. But man, I was absolutely blown away. I binged the entire series in one day cause I was hooked. The set designs, the great characters, the music, and the incredibly fun and compelling story. I genuinely think it’s in my top 5 of marvel shows.

Rio is death. She's not evil. She just does her job which is collecting souls of the dead when their time comes. She doesn't get off from people dying.
I think it is related to stop killing Witches but I think it is about "survival". A point is made several times about Nicky being hungry and Agatha saying she can not make food. I think killing Witches is what sustains Nicky.
My thoughts on that is that Agatha is trying to harness the talents of the witches’ powers she absorbs but fails because she’s a spirit witch. That’s why her first instruction is to find a divination, protection and a potions witch. She couldn’t care less if there’s a green witch when she sets off with The coven
Rio didn't take Nicki out of spite, she had no choice. As she mentions before, she can only offer time. Maybe as she takes Nicki to the afterlife she keeps his soul safe for a future reappearance. I wouldn't say he's dead, he's just gone.
Good point...Rio was very dispassionate about her job and just did what needed to be done. I'm happy she was so gentle with Nicky. That was very touching.
Thank god for Agatha All Along. I’m having kind of a bad life rn. It could be worse, but anyways, Agatha All Along gave me something to look forward to every week and something to distract from everything. That along with the theory videos that people like you put out there.
I think in Ep 4 at the 5:04 mark Billy says “ I wish we could go home.” Agatha suddenly looks aghast or worried that he was about to alter reality again and send everyone home. It’s almost as if she thinks that very thing is about to happen.
One thing I really enjoyed about Agatha, was that it was able to tell its whole story without being interrupted by Covid. Because of this, all of the Easter eggs were able to be very well thought out and realized, as opposed to loose threads being a result of budget/time cuts.
it's like no one has ever read terry pratchett's works on death - death isn't a fuzzy warm parent/relative in most creative works, and certainly wouldn't be sad to separate a kid from their mother (she'll be there eventually/what is this brief separation from death that is life, etc(

Yep!, the best explanation I can think of is that Morgan stole it from ghost rider in the dark dimension, and of course it’s a different copy from the one in Wandavision and multiverse of madness, so it works out (that is if you still consider AOS and runaways canon to the sacred timeline that is).
I’ve recently realized there’s an opportunity to make Captain Marvel 3 a team up with America Chavez. If you can connect the dot, you can see it’s entirely possible. Shang Chi post credit, Wong and Captain Marvel are on in a council. By the end of Multiverse of Madness, America Chavez starts training under Wong. Captain Marvel in the Multiverse of Madness could be lots of fun. Just wishful thinking.

And Wolverine can join up with Hulk( Hulk vs. Wolverine?). Maybe add Sentry. Just all out brawl. And of course, x23 with Young Avengers. It could be done with TVA in the mix. Although it seem they’ve got a lot on their plate already. We probably won’t get any of these until Multiverse Saga is over. If I can only gets ONE thing from my MCU wishlist, I just want them doing a third Avengers movie, releasing in 2028 ( they’ve recently attached a May 2028 date), 20th anniversary of the MCU wrapping the Multiverse Saga before moving on.
I think the Earth challenge maybe was what made Agatha realize how she can get life from death herself, which she utilized to become a ghost after deciding to allow Rio to kill her after I heard that theory.
As for Agatha telling Lillia her secret, I see this question on Reddit a lot too. My take is that: 1. Agatha was desperate and on a time crunch, thanks to Salem 7 on her heels. She just needs some witches to join her, whoever they are. It's like a party invitation, you need the first "yes" so then you get more people to come. 2. She just needs one witch to start blasting, before chaos ensued and other witches might join in and start blasting. And even if Lillia didn't blast her, by the end Agatha could have enough power from other witches. And she might not need Lillia anymore , even though it might be nice and she could still take out Lillia if the need arises.
I really appreciate the fact that Marvel is learning from their past TV failures *cough* Secret Invasion *cough.* The writing on this, Echo and especially X-Men '97 was very cohesive in my opinion.
I do think the father is Rio. Jac Schaeffer gave an interview with Backstory Magazine's podcast and she said they considered if the kid looked like Aubrey Plaza when they cast Nicky. I just think Death... isn't afraid of Death. Nicky is with her full time now.
Jen could heal, Agatha wishes she could heal more than anything in the world because Nicky needed a healer more than anything. Thus Agatha being jealous of Jen all these years. Really quite sad at its core.
I can't believe Agatha is gone forever. But she will be back at some point. 1. I loved this show. I appreciated that while they gave Agatha some context and showed some of her softer moments, she was still an unrepentant sociopath. The idea that Billy created the road and that it was actually a myth was, I thought, a very cool twist. I would watch the hell out of a prequel that showed how Agatha and Rio hooked up. There were so many incredible moments for each character. Patti freaking Lupone. And the interviews and behind the scenes bits were so much fun. 2. Credit needs to go to that song, 'cause it's a good song. Borderline to almost being overused in the middle bits, but it really paid off in the last episode. Nitpicky, but would have liked if the rock version was more distinctive, more of an evolution. Honestly, I'm only giving it so much thought because of how good it is. 3. Billy putting his hood over his head as he leaves Agatha’s house after her death is much like how Wanda placed her hood over her head as she prepared to make her exit from Westview once the hex was finally removed. Also, Billy in his full Wiccan outfit driving away in a Subaru instead of flying with his witch powers was one of the funniest things in the show (even as it effectively registered the level of shock he was experiencing). 4. Rio/Death using her knife to cut into the fabric of reality and make her exit is similar to how Clea made her entrance to recruit Stephen Strange for assistance in the mid-credits stinger of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Yes, but that cut in the Multiverse of Madness probably cost 10 million dollars, not even counting the cost of a Charlize Theron cameo. In Agatha All Along? Maybe 50 dollars of paper and paint, and honestly, it was so much cooler. Very Truman Show.
Nothing about easter eggs but to share my "Cannon" of AoS. They were pretty in line with the movies (Cleaning after thor's dark world, the hydra take over shield, the helicarrier, etc.) Until close to the time travel shenanigans (i kow its bcs marvel stopped caring about the show soy they do they thing alone). So for me, they started in the Sacred timeline but ended in a branched timeline that wasnt a problem to the order of things.
Yeah, I feel the same. The show started out tying in very closely with the main MCU and then drifted apart near the end. But I do still love all 7 seasons. It just feels like the last several were in a branch.

When Nicky leaves the cabin saying “My mother needs me home” maybe he was referring to Rio, and “home” means “been death” (because that’s where he belongs). He always knew about her, and that’s why he leaves so peacefully, naturally with his other mommy 😢😭💔
My thought regarding the Nicky death plot point, I think that Agatha was draining the power and life from other witches, then feeding the energy to him (without him knowing) and it was the life force she gave him that held off the illness that ended up killing him. I think Agatha started killing witches to keep her son alive, then continued due to grief over his death until the draining of witches powers became an addiction. This also explains why she couldn't face Nicky, because he wanted her to stop killing witches not knowing that, that was what was keeping him alive. She knows she could have and should have, but didn't.
I remember seeing something about the line “made from scratch” in a different language translated to “from nature” ie rio is that boy’s daddy. Wish I could find it again
the AOS Darkhold being another copy of the original Mt. Wundagore texts separate from the Wandavision Darkhold is something I arrived at myself as well after Multiverse Of Madness came out, my first theory after Wandavision was that the Hex changed it's look from S.H.I.E.L.D. for whatever reason, but I like the copy theory a lot more I think it works way better than the Hex changing it because then there are no lingering questions of why did the Hex decide to change it's look, that would only make sense if it changed into a more mundane book like a cookbook or something like that, (also if I remember correctly Agatha's basement was protected from Wanda's Hex so it should've looked the same). Thank you Wong for speaking the line that the Darkhold was a copy, whatever will we do without Wong.
I also think she was making a calculated gamble by telling Lilia. I think she bet she could still piss her off enough to get her to blast her in impulse. It almost works too. Lilia’s fingers twitch with yellow magic just before she stops everyone else. They still might have eventually attacked her if the door had not appeared
Great Video! I've loved your coverage of the show, you clearly have such a passion for the MCU and it shows in your videos. I still think there's a chance that Rio is the father, In a recent Q & A with Jeff Goldsmith Jac Schaffer mentions that they would sometimes look or kids that look like Rio/Aubrey Plaza when casting for Nicky. So it could still be a possibility. And her emotionless response to Nicky's death could be because she already knew it was coming or is at peace with Death cause she sees it every day/is death I think Nicky might have been sick because Agatha wasn't killing witches. Baby Nicky seemed to stop crying after Agatha had killed that Coven so part of the deal could have been that Agatha needs to kill people in exchange for Nicky's life. She probably choose witches due to her own absorbing power, complicated relationship with witches, and possibly in the hope to gain the power of the witches to protect her son. I look forward to future videos and have liked getting into the MCU as a newer fan.

Something I realized: Agatha says she was going to kill them all in her basement on day 1, so Billy actually saved Jen by making the road real. But, she couldn’t have killed Jen. Jen didn’t have magic to blast her with. Sharon either. Unless Agatha planned to get her hands dirty and kill them in a practical way, she couldn’t just absorb their powers
The other side of Maiden Mother Crone is it is the cycle of life. Maiden when finding a mate like before she meet Reo, Mother when she had Nicky, Crone when she had pasted the point of caring for her children and cares for a child not their oen like grandchildren or Billy. I could see it only being a stone to symbolize because she is between this life and the next.
I do like the theory of Agatha killing the witches to distract Rio, just so it gives her killings more value than just for the lulz. I don't think it would be Rio being spiteful, just a matter of a magical exchange. But I think Jac did an interview confirming there was no deal involved, it was just Agatha doing it because she really likes to kill. As for the Darkhold, as an Agents of SHIELD fan, I'm fine with it being separate books. It bothered me at first, but it does work better if they're separate books.
Jac Schaeffer has kinda confirmed that Rio is the father they were look for kid that look like aubrey plaza. Also rio death helps create life with Agatha. Oh top of that we keep getting mama to Agatha but at the end with Nicky said his mother might reference Rio. Oh top of that she was not cold she was Gentle and the smile and asking to have her give 2 kiss one for Nicky and one for Rio. Also the nick name used so easily when Rio talks about him. She also showed a gentler form to Nicky and agatha to show she cares and not her other forms like we see with Alice. Also there are really fun companies with Nicky photo with rio and how they look.
About Nicky being taken from Agatha.... I think maybe you're thinking of it like it was a malicious thing for Rio to do... Agatha was trading withches for more time with little Scratch. Once the bodies weren't being provided as payment, Rio *had* to take Nickty... it's her job after all.
You know, theres still a universe somewhere where death and thanos are not only dating, but are in a trio with Agatha and he's Nicky's father :) No in all seriousness though, I really dont think Rio has anything to do with Nicky as it just really shows that Agatha has some human part to her too, especially with how emotional that 'i made you from scratch' delivery was, she seemed really proud of herself. Would be a shame if they winded that down to just another way to make the plot more interesting. However id be down for a mephisto appearance in any kind :)

I think Reo came for Nicky that night because she knew he was having second thoughs on killing witches and I think she would have stopped if Nicky asked her to.
I think Rio was only "protecting" Agatha from her mother, was because she wanted her for herself! If Rio allowed Agatha to be taken by her mother, that would mean Rio wouldn't be able to "claim" her when she dies.
I forgot to mention this in the ep 8/9 breakdown, I think Agatha was able to control her stealign the power all along and chose to kill alice, because she promsied Rio bodies
Agatha All Along envisions Death as the original Green Witch, decay and new life in balance. Rio isn’t evil, and I would hope witches of the Salem times would see her as a neutral part of nature. “I am the natural order of all things, baby.” She also loved Agatha and bent the rules to give her more time with her son. I think Nicky was always going to be sickly. But a sickly baby/child made a great prop to get past witches’ protections. I think Agatha learned that witches would try to kill her in her mother’s coven and while she might have killed in self defense initially, she decided why not be preemptive about it? And get power. That’s how she met Rio. Ultimately Rio’s intentions were irrelevant. To Agatha, she would always be the one who took Nicky too soon. It would always have been too soon. 😢
@@AbitofEverything4U I'm sure that's what Jennifer Kale told everyone. Remember she left before Billy realized he'd created the Witches Road. The only other person who knew Billy had done it was Agatha, and she's pushing up mushrooms in Ralph Bohner's back yard.
See, my read of Rio is that she met Agatha before becoming the avtar of Death. They were in love, she impregnates Agatha as an accidental side effect of making love and being a green witch: she then becomes the avatar, which Agatha disagrees with, so they break up and on top of that, Rio then knows Nicky is gonna have complications. So Rio follows her, trying to be nice about it, when ultimately it comes to the birth and Rio has mercy and gives them time together, but she can't cure Nicky of his sickness, just prolong it. It probably took all her power just to do that, which is why it's so significant for her but nothing to Agatha. Hence why Rio seems emotionless when she claims Nicky: Death isn't allowed to be emotional. She wouldn't physically be able to cry over it. But she was still sympathetic and let him say goodbye in a way, which is STILL more than any other human in history has gotten from any Death variant. Jac said they explored some version of that, but, they felt it wasn't part of the dna of this show, that could be told another time and still feel relevant.
Remember when Rio said the bodies piles up, you keep distracting me from that boy , i think it reffers to the fact that agatha killed witches to distract Rio from coming over and collect nicky

I think Rio was too busy collecting the bodies Agatha left behind to collect Nicky. I think Agatha was killing the witches to keep Rio busy while they slept. I think Lorna told Alice that the road wasn't what it seemed, she figured it out because if anyone should have opened the door it was her. But she used the con to make a protection spell. She was clever and tried to protect her child with the same road. She just didn't murder people. The maiden, mother, and crone are the three phases of a mortal woman. Agatha already was the crone when Nicky died. Senior scratchy in young avengers when?

There’s no way that Agatha would’ve gotten the Darkhold from Ghost Rider even if there’s only one Darkhold and AoS/Runaways is canon. Morgan Le Fay was the last one to have the Darkhold, not Ghost Rider. And she likely left it in her hotel room, her base of operations.
I don't think Rio did it out of spite. Agatha had to keep killing to extend Nicky's life. When she stopped killing death, she had to do her job and take him. Like agatha told him if you want to survive, you have to get used to this feeling.

Brujapedia did state that she had succubus powers. But if Rio was the father then the whole thing was essentially a custody dispute.

I’m pretty sure Nicky just died of natural causes. Agatha said Death wasn’t allowed to kill her even though she really wanted to, so the idea of her killing Nicky out of spite just doesn’t make sense to me

Yep!, the best explanation I can think of is that Morgan stole it from ghost rider in the dark dimension, and of course it’s a different copy from the one in Wandavision and multiverse of madness, so it works out (that is if you still consider AOS and runaways canon to the sacred timeline that is).
The amount of details in this show is so good, i hope we get a reference to Agatha and a appearance of the Watcher in Fantastic Four: First Steps.

Although it seem they’ve got a lot on their plate already. We probably won’t get any of these until Multiverse Saga is over. If I can only gets ONE thing from my MCU wishlist, I just want them doing a third Avengers movie, releasing in 2028 ( they’ve recently attached a May 2028 date), 20th anniversary of the MCU wrapping the Multiverse Saga before moving on.
I think the Earth challenge maybe was what made Agatha realize how she can get life from death herself, which she utilized to become a ghost after deciding to allow Rio to kill her after I heard that theory.

As for Agatha telling Lillia her secret, I see this question on Reddit a lot too. My take is that:
1. Agatha was desperate and on a time crunch, thanks to Salem 7 on her heels. She just needs some witches to join her, whoever they are. It's like a party invitation, you need the first "yes" so then you get more people to come.
2. She just needs one witch to start blasting, before chaos ensued and other witches might join in and start blasting. And even if Lillia didn't blast her, by the end Agatha could have enough power from other witches. And she might not need Lillia anymore , even though it might be nice and she could still take out Lillia if the need arises.
I really appreciate the fact that Marvel is learning from their past TV failures *cough* Secret Invasion *cough.* The writing on this, Echo and especially X-Men '97 was very cohesive in my opinion.

I do think the father is Rio. Jac Schaeffer gave an interview with Backstory Magazine's podcast and she said they considered if the kid looked like Aubrey Plaza when they cast Nicky. I just think Death... isn't afraid of Death. Nicky is with her full time now.

Jen could heal, Agatha wishes she could heal more than anything in the world because Nicky needed a healer more than anything. Thus Agatha being jealous of Jen all these years. Really quite sad at its core.
Exactly! It really does show why Agatha truly respects Jen, but also has so much envy that it turns to hate at the same time.
I can't believe Agatha is gone forever. But she will be back at some point.
1. I loved this show. I appreciated that while they gave Agatha some context and showed some of her softer moments, she was still an unrepentant sociopath. The idea that Billy created the road and that it was actually a myth was, I thought, a very cool twist. I would watch the hell out of a prequel that showed how Agatha and Rio hooked up. There were so many incredible moments for each character. Patti freaking Lupone. And the interviews and behind the scenes bits were so much fun.
2. Credit needs to go to that song, 'cause it's a good song. Borderline to almost being overused in the middle bits, but it really paid off in the last episode. Nitpicky, but would have liked if the rock version was more distinctive, more of an evolution. Honestly, I'm only giving it so much thought because of how good it is.
3. Billy putting his hood over his head as he leaves Agatha’s house after her death is much like how Wanda placed her hood over her head as she prepared to make her exit from Westview once the hex was finally removed.
Also, Billy in his full Wiccan outfit driving away in a Subaru instead of flying with his witch powers was one of the funniest things in the show (even as it effectively registered the level of shock he was experiencing).
4. Rio/Death using her knife to cut into the fabric of reality and make her exit is similar to how Clea made her entrance to recruit Stephen Strange for assistance in the mid-credits stinger of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
Yes, but that cut in the Multiverse of Madness probably cost 10 million dollars, not even counting the cost of a Charlize Theron cameo. In Agatha All Along? Maybe 50 dollars of paper and paint, and honestly, it was so much cooler. Very Truman Show.
Nothing about easter eggs but to share my "Cannon" of AoS. They were pretty in line with the movies (Cleaning after thor's dark world, the hydra take over shield, the helicarrier, etc.) Until close to the time travel shenanigans (i kow its bcs marvel stopped caring about the show soy they do they thing alone). So for me, they started in the Sacred timeline but ended in a branched timeline that wasnt a problem to the order of things.
Yeah, I feel the same. The show started out tying in very closely with the main MCU and then drifted apart near the end. But I do still love all 7 seasons. It just feels like the last several were in a branch.

When Nicky leaves the cabin saying “My mother needs me home” maybe he was referring to Rio, and “home” means “been death” (because that’s where he belongs). He always knew about her, and that’s why he leaves so peacefully, naturally with his other mommy 😢😭💔

My thought regarding the Nicky death plot point, I think that Agatha was draining the power and life from other witches, then feeding the energy to him (without him knowing) and it was the life force she gave him that held off the illness that ended up killing him. I think Agatha started killing witches to keep her son alive, then continued due to grief over his death until the draining of witches powers became an addiction. This also explains why she couldn't face Nicky, because he wanted her to stop killing witches not knowing that, that was what was keeping him alive. She knows she could have and should have, but didn't.
I remember seeing something about the line “made from scratch” in a different language translated to “from nature” ie rio is that boy’s daddy. Wish I could find it again
the AOS Darkhold being another copy of the original Mt. Wundagore texts separate from the Wandavision Darkhold is something I arrived at myself as well after Multiverse Of Madness came out, my first theory after Wandavision was that the Hex changed it's look from S.H.I.E.L.D. for whatever reason, but I like the copy theory a lot more I think it works way better than the Hex changing it because then there are no lingering questions of why did the Hex decide to change it's look, that would only make sense if it changed into a more mundane book like a cookbook or something like that, (also if I remember correctly Agatha's basement was protected from Wanda's Hex so it should've looked the same). Thank you Wong for speaking the line that the Darkhold was a copy, whatever will we do without Wong.
I also think she was making a calculated gamble by telling Lilia. I think she bet she could still piss her off enough to get her to blast her in impulse. It almost works too. Lilia’s fingers twitch with yellow magic just before she stops everyone else. They still might have eventually attacked her if the door had not appeared

I still think there's a chance that Rio is the father, In a recent Q & A with Jeff Goldsmith Jac Schaffer mentions that they would sometimes look or kids that look like Rio/Aubrey Plaza when casting for Nicky. So it could still be a possibility. And her emotionless response to Nicky's death could be because she already knew it was coming or is at peace with Death cause she sees it every day/is death
I think Nicky might have been sick because Agatha wasn't killing witches. Baby Nicky seemed to stop crying after Agatha had killed that Coven so part of the deal could have been that Agatha needs to kill people in exchange for Nicky's life. She probably choose witches due to her own absorbing power, complicated relationship with witches, and possibly in the hope to gain the power of the witches to protect her son.
I look forward to future videos and have liked getting into the MCU as a newer fan.

Missing Agatha already but, I'm looking forward to What If.
Something I realized: Agatha says she was going to kill them all in her basement on day 1, so Billy actually saved Jen by making the road real. But, she couldn’t have killed Jen. Jen didn’t have magic to blast her with. Sharon either. Unless Agatha planned to get her hands dirty and kill them in a practical way, she couldn’t just absorb their powers
The other side of Maiden Mother Crone is it is the cycle of life. Maiden when finding a mate like before she meet Reo, Mother when she had Nicky, Crone when she had pasted the point of caring for her children and cares for a child not their oen like grandchildren or Billy. I could see it only being a stone to symbolize because she is between this life and the next.
I do like the theory of Agatha killing the witches to distract Rio, just so it gives her killings more value than just for the lulz. I don't think it would be Rio being spiteful, just a matter of a magical exchange. But I think Jac did an interview confirming there was no deal involved, it was just Agatha doing it because she really likes to kill.
As for the Darkhold, as an Agents of SHIELD fan, I'm fine with it being separate books. It bothered me at first, but it does work better if they're separate books.
Jac Schaeffer has kinda confirmed that Rio is the father they were look for kid that look like aubrey plaza. Also rio death helps create life with Agatha. Oh top of that we keep getting mama to Agatha but at the end with Nicky said his mother might reference Rio. Oh top of that she was not cold she was Gentle and the smile and asking to have her give 2 kiss one for Nicky and one for Rio. Also the nick name used so easily when Rio talks about him. She also showed a gentler form to Nicky and agatha to show she cares and not her other forms like we see with Alice. Also there are really fun companies with Nicky photo with rio and how they look.
About Nicky being taken from Agatha.... I think maybe you're thinking of it like it was a malicious thing for Rio to do... Agatha was trading withches for more time with little Scratch. Once the bodies weren't being provided as payment, Rio *had* to take Nickty... it's her job after all.
You know, theres still a universe somewhere where death and thanos are not only dating, but are in a trio with Agatha and he's Nicky's father :) No in all seriousness though, I really dont think Rio has anything to do with Nicky as it just really shows that Agatha has some human part to her too, especially with how emotional that 'i made you from scratch' delivery was, she seemed really proud of herself. Would be a shame if they winded that down to just another way to make the plot more interesting. However id be down for a mephisto appearance in any kind :)
Yeah, that's a good point about the scratch line. I like it better if Rio isn't the dad. But, like you, I'd be okay with Mephisto any time he wants to show up and cause a ruckus!

I think Rio was only "protecting" Agatha from her mother, was because she wanted her for herself! If Rio allowed Agatha to be taken by her mother, that would mean Rio wouldn't be able to "claim" her when she dies.

I forgot to mention this in the ep 8/9 breakdown, I think Agatha was able to control her stealign the power all along and chose to kill alice, because she promsied Rio bodies
Agatha All Along envisions Death as the original Green Witch, decay and new life in balance. Rio isn’t evil, and I would hope witches of the Salem times would see her as a neutral part of nature. “I am the natural order of all things, baby.” She also loved Agatha and bent the rules to give her more time with her son. I think Nicky was always going to be sickly. But a sickly baby/child made a great prop to get past witches’ protections. I think Agatha learned that witches would try to kill her in her mother’s coven and while she might have killed in self defense initially, she decided why not be preemptive about it? And get power. That’s how she met Rio. Ultimately Rio’s intentions were irrelevant. To Agatha, she would always be the one who took Nicky too soon. It would always have been too soon. 😢

@@AbitofEverything4U I'm sure that's what Jennifer Kale told everyone. Remember she left before Billy realized he'd created the Witches Road. The only other person who knew Billy had done it was Agatha, and she's pushing up mushrooms in Ralph Bohner's back yard.
See, my read of Rio is that she met Agatha before becoming the avtar of Death. They were in love, she impregnates Agatha as an accidental side effect of making love and being a green witch: she then becomes the avatar, which Agatha disagrees with, so they break up and on top of that, Rio then knows Nicky is gonna have complications. So Rio follows her, trying to be nice about it, when ultimately it comes to the birth and Rio has mercy and gives them time together, but she can't cure Nicky of his sickness, just prolong it. It probably took all her power just to do that, which is why it's so significant for her but nothing to Agatha.
Hence why Rio seems emotionless when she claims Nicky: Death isn't allowed to be emotional. She wouldn't physically be able to cry over it. But she was still sympathetic and let him say goodbye in a way, which is STILL more than any other human in history has gotten from any Death variant.
Jac said they explored some version of that, but, they felt it wasn't part of the dna of this show, that could be told another time and still feel relevant.
Remember when Rio said the bodies piles up, you keep distracting me from that boy , i think it reffers to the fact that agatha killed witches to distract Rio from coming over and collect nicky
My crazy theory for who Nickolas father is. is that Nicky was made from scratch, you have his award for best signer next to it is a bunny “señor scratchy = Mr scratch means devil = who takes on the form of the devil = Mephisto. Mephisto could be his father?
I think Rio was too busy collecting the bodies Agatha left behind to collect Nicky. I think Agatha was killing the witches to keep Rio busy while they slept.
I think Lorna told Alice that the road wasn't what it seemed, she figured it out because if anyone should have opened the door it was her. But she used the con to make a protection spell. She was clever and tried to protect her child with the same road. She just didn't murder people.
The maiden, mother, and crone are the three phases of a mortal woman. Agatha already was the crone when Nicky died.

There’s no way that Agatha would’ve gotten the Darkhold from Ghost Rider even if there’s only one Darkhold and AoS/Runaways is canon. Morgan Le Fay was the last one to have the Darkhold, not Ghost Rider. And she likely left it in her hotel room, her base of operations.
I don't think Rio did it out of spite. Agatha had to keep killing to extend Nicky's life. When she stopped killing death, she had to do her job and take him. Like agatha told him if you want to survive, you have to get used to this feeling.
I don’t think Rio is the father due to Agatha commenting that she didn’t use magic to create Nicky. I took the “from scratch” statement as her body creating him naturally. Brujapedia did state that she had succubus powers. But if Rio was the father then the whole thing was essentially a custody dispute.

I don't think Rio took Nicky because he wouldn't kill...Death isn't evil, just inevitable. Yes she wanted bodies, and yes Agatha & her had an arrangement, but that was because of the nature of Agatha...Nicky didn't have that nature, which was revealed many times when he made it clear he wasn't cool with killing witches.
Rio talks a lot about the rules of life, as if she didn’t write them but is a servant to them, so who wrote those rules?
Death came into existence at the dawn of time along with Eternity, Infinity, and Entropy.
