Hi ScreenRanters! Let’s take a whimsical trip to Arendelle and go over a load of fan theories for Frozen! Yay, coldness! Frozen 2 is going to be at a cinema near you in November. In order to get building that excitement, we wanted to get our noggins working and wonder what direction the franchise could take. As well as fill in a load of information blanks that popped up in the first animation epic. We’re very inquisitive and have a lot of free time. So, we worked and worked to help give you a Disney fix.
Anna and Elsa took the world by storm with their debut film based in Norway. With Kristoff and Hans playing the love interests. As well as Hans filling in the fun villain role too! While Olaf provided the comic relief, Elsa was struggling to cope with the vast ice power within her. Now that we’ve given you a little recap of sorts. Let’s delve into some theories! Like, who’s the real villains of the film? The king and queen or the trolls? Or what powers could Anna have? Maybe another character has powers? Is there a superhero team that Elsa could join? How do Tarzan, Quasimodo, Ariel, and Rapunzel fit into the world of Frozen? Well, we have the answers to all these queries and more! Look at the video above to find out! Wait a minute. Hans might have fire powers.
Okay time to punch holes in some of the theories.
1) Esla was born with her powers. Tangled got hers from a magic flower.
2) Tarzan surname was Greylord.
3) The one where Esla's powers is her coming into womanhood is laughable, since she had the powers when she was a little girl (born with the powers).
4) Tangled could be related to Elsa, but it doesn't have to be so. Friendly kingdoms would go to other Royal weddings.
5) If Tarzan is Elsa's brother what powers does he have besides talking to the apes that raised him?
6) Kristoffer is not wearing Sven's mother. Sven's mother probably died while both the boy and reindeer was small, so you can't judge what Kristoffer wears as a grown man.
Yeah and don't forget that tarzan parents survived in plane crush, not on a ship wreck. Hahaha his theory is just way off everything. Hahaha this guy never really watched any of the Disney movies. Hahaha
My theory:
Elsa is a waterbender
Anna is a firebender
The wind and earth spirits will collide together with them and become the avatar.

Wow... Sven would NOT be able to smell his mother after that many years. Not washing it, would mean that Kristoff's scent had taken over; while washing it at least once a year would already washed away her scent.
I disagree with the “sword made of ice” thing. If you look closely at the frame, the metal on the sword actually becomes encased in a thin layer of frost as it inches towards Anna’s frozen hand. Considering the ice is magic, and Anna is physically being frozen solid, she was so cold that the blade actually dropped so much in temperature that it nearly froze itself and shattered. You can also say that it’s easier for the sword to do this because it’s made of metal, which makes it a conductor, not an insulator, and that means it would be easier to heat up or cool down.

When Disney made frozen they were already planning to make frozen 2 because at the very starting, before the Disney castle shows up, some sort of song plays and if you heard it, then you will probably realise that it is the Northuldra National Anthem type song in frozen 2.

That theory is nonsense. When Elsa and Anna's parents left on their trip, there was no indication at all that the queen was pregnant. Secondly, why would the queen have gone on a trip if she were eight-ish months pregnant? Even if they were on their way to Rapunzel's wedding, how the heck did they end up in Africa? That's nowhere near Denmark and Norway.

Popular theory: Anna has powers. My fave theory. When she went to the trolls remember what Grandpabby said. "I suggest we remove all magic, even the memory of magic" so HE locked away Anna's powers, hence why the white streak never went away even after being healed. Now that its gone and the spell is broken perhaps we'll see some Anna powers in Frozen 2.
After seeing Frozen 2, Tarzan theory has been sunk. Her parents last moments were on the ship.

The Stabbington Brothers could not be Hans' brothers. Maybe they share some sort of long-lineage relationship, but I don't think that some PRINCES would go around stealing crowns... Since Hans is a prince, so are his brothers. That's the entire plot. Plus, the Stabbington Brothers look a lot older than Hans, meaning they are closer to the throne. So there is no way that they have a similar idea to him, find another way to be royal (or in this case, rich) by stealing (Hans stole hearts, the Stabbington Brothers stole valuables).

Hans has 13 older brothers who he said attacked him so they were strong, so it's not unreasonable that 2 that were very unlikely to inherit turned to crime.

The Anna having fire powers idea makes sense. If you really pay attention to Frozen, you'll remember that Elsa was born on the winter solstice, while Anna, yep, you guessed it, was born on the summer solstice.

Ok... Rapunzel's ability comes from the flower that was used to save the mother while pregnant. Han's gloves is a metaphor for hiding a secret hence why Elsa looses hers after her powers are shown. And thanks to Frozen 2, much of the power theories are disproven so I won't go into that.

It's not ice powers. It's winter in general. There are different beings that can control the seasons. Frozen 2 will feature the autumn powers.

i think the theory with hanz and the trolls might be accurate in a way.... something i noticed was that when elsa's powers activated during the coronation scene hanz immediately looked at ana which i took as he knew that ana would be upset and possibly was worried about her rather than the new queen might not be coronated. if he looked at ana with intent to get with her for the status then he probably would've been smirking but he wasn't so yeah

Elsa’s powers are meant to represent depression. My own personal theory. Watch it with this in mind and you will see what I’m getting at. It’s all very metaphorical but it will melt your mind if I truly broke it down.

I love a good fan theory. BUT all the theories regarding Rapunzel being a relative of Elsa and Anna’s because of the magic aspect is just ridiculous! Rapunzel only had powers because her mother drank some kind of potion made from that magical flower. It wasn’t hereditary.

a better one that ive heard is that rapunzel's mother had 2 kids (rapunzel and elsa). When rapunzel was kidnapped, the king and queen were scared of it happening with their second daughter, elsa, so they sent her as a baby to live in safety with her brother, the king of arendelle. This is all assuming the flower potion stayed in rapunzel's mother's system.

Exactly. I hate this so much. ScreenRant is a great Channel, sure, but most of the commentary is of them trying to fill up the video and make more time for it to run. Half of it isn't even partially true.

I'm getting pretty tired of the Tarzan theory. Tarzan and Elsa and Anna are NOT related.
1.) Tarzan's parents were English, whereas Elsa and Anna's are clearly not.
2.) Tarzan's mother had auburn hair whereas Elsa and Anna's mother had dark brown.
3.) The way both their ships wrecked are different. Tarzan's parents' ship was destroyed in a fire. However, King Agnar and Queen Iduna's ship was destroyed in a storm.
4.) Their clothing is different. Tarzan's parents looked more like upper middle class commoners whereas Elsa and Anna's parents looked more... well, regal.
Can we just put that theory to rest now?

it was stated from the Directors of Frozen that HE believes that there is a connection between Tarzan and Frozen
but it is not possible that they are Brother and Sister
They clearly live in two epochs too different
No it was not. The director said he liked playing around with that idea in his own mind. But there are about a billion holes in that theory. It would hold water about as well as a mesh sack. By far, the most glaring problem with that so-called theory is the fact that the queen could not possibly go from her first trimester to holding a six-month-old infant in a mere two weeks. The way I always understood X-men was that there was a gene that triggered the powers - but that _what_ those powers would be were not random, but determined by the X-gene’s genetic environment- i.e., what _other_ genes the person has.
This raises whole new questions about why Senator Kelly died in the first movie. It was presumed to be due to imperfection in the process of turning an adult non-mutant into a mutant. But maybe that was not the real reason. Maybe his dormant power just so-happened to be an unstable one that would have resulted in a miscarriage had he been initially _conceived_ as a mutant.
Granted, that possibility does not negate the flaw in Magneto’s plan. After all - if Senator Kelly’s dormant X-power was unviable, the same could be true with many of the citizens of New York City. Possibly even the majority.
Heres my theory: Tarzan, Moana, Rapunzel and Frozen are all set in the same universe. Tarzan is elsa and anna's brother and rapunzel's cousin. but now you ask: what about moana? well, think about it! moana has water powers, rapunzel has healing powers given by the sun, elsa has ice and that island in Moana has earth. I believe the reason Moana's father didnt wanted to travel across the bay was because he had found magical people, (elsa, rapunzel) but kept it a secret. Also, when everything started to die in Moana could be why rapunzel loses her powers when she cuts off her hair: like, the "poison" spreads to the flower, but since its magical, it doesnt lose its full power, it simply grows weaker.
How did the parent’s boat get from Norway to Africa before it sank? Especially if they were just sailing to Germany, where Tangled takes place, that seems like a pretty random detour
Also Rapunzel lost her powers when her hair was cut and it was like that from the beginning and the islands started dying because of the magic stone thingy
Moana doesn't have water powers, the ocean will only assist Moana after she has tried accomplishing a goal, herself.
