Yep. The final scenes will show us that the entire series was just an edgy series Jughead was writing. In reality all the characters are just as wholesome as they are portrayed in the comics. Jugheads parents are happily married and still together,same for Archies parents and Bettys Parents. FP is not a former gang leader.Bettys dad is not a serial killer,and her mom and sister/brother are not dysfunctional. Jason is alive,and his and Cheryls family are just rich douche's instead of real life loony toons. Midge is alive,and Moose is not bisexual. Mr Lodge was just a legitimate businessman,and not a mafia don. Oh and Betty and Jughead are not dating. He just loves her cooking,and thought pairing himself with her would be a neat idea to go with. Story ends with all the main wholesome cast reading Jugheads book and scoffing at how silly and dumb it is. The End.

It's not that uncommon in IRL private schools. Pretty much the only way to have a snowball's chance in hell of getting into an Ivy League (unless your 'rents are rich enough to make a 'sizable donation') is to bulk up your extracurricular activities, on top of having perfect grades and SATs. If Riverdale were a better show, they would reveal Brett as one bad day away from a total nervous breakdown due to the pressure and all the proplus he ingests to stay awake, give him some depth to his stereotypical character.
