How to improve the damping of the rear shock on your velomobile

  • To keep the damping of the rearshock of your 3-wheeld velomobile working well, it is advised to do this simple improvement when it is needed.
    Just replacing the damperfoam and adding some tape around the damperfoam-holder improves it .

    Addign friction reduces bouncing. Ideal is oil damping but you could also put several "O" rings and sticky greas betwean the I ring. This works well but you have to put greas regularly.

    Wow. Looks like you have a 3" blue spring. My Hilgo rear came with a 3" red. I switched to 1" blue and 2" red, because it felt like there was zero suspension. Is there any way to tell what the optimum is?

    So if the rear wheel bounces up, one needs to make this improvement?
