#resinart #epoxy #water - แนวปฏิบัติและการใช้ชีวิต
You don't look old enough to be having a 23rd wedding anniversary. Congratulations!!!
Aww Thankyou 😊
@@BensWorx really though... You look no older than 35
@@thelamandapanda He has eternal youth since he encased himself in resin 😂
I thought he said 3rd anniversary because I was only half listening. I was shocked by your comment.
23rd ...Huh !?! 😲
@@BensWorx Happy Anniversary , Ben &Nicole.
Best wishes from Louisiana 💞🥂😊
“I’m gonna stand back out of the way” proceeds to get face level with the soon to explode boiling temperature epoxy 🤣
😂
Laughs in typical Australian.
My thought exactly....Ben you make me nervous.
@@BensWorx preheat the water so it doesnt expand inside the resin.
@@ElectricalExistence i hope this comment isn't serious
Ben “ oh I think it’s going to explode”
Also Ben, “ face hovers at same height as resin” lol 😂
Yes!!! Lol. I jumped when it exploded too! I was so into watching & I expected it to explode but I still jumped! 😂
@@bamagirl234u yes so did I lol
The salt one has a different boiling point, probably why it didn't give off so much of a show.
You should experiment with the salinity levels, if you get it just right then you might have a chance of getting it suspended exactly in the middle.
That was my first thought when I saw how quick the water dropped and how much salt he put in the water.
My thoughts as well. I think this would make an ideal follow up for the next video. I'd also like to see green coolant injected.
It's the density that's different. If you get the density of the salt water to match the density of the resin, it should stay suspended better but, and here is what's happening, as the water heats up it turns to steam as the hydrogen and oxygen are released from their bond. These games expand as they heat until the resin can no longer hold the pressure and it explodes. It might stay together if you use very tiny droplets and not a lot of them. Good luck.
Gasses it's supposed to say gasses heat up...
The easy way to get it to work would be to get same volume of water and resin and then weight them out. Keep adding salt until until they weight the same. Adding sugar instead of salt might help with the steam build up issue but it would depend on the amount of sugar
You should try injecting oil, I think it wouldn't react or boil like water did and you could get really interesting results, like the shapes you got with water before stuff went boom
🎶❣
Think oil boile at about twice the temperature of water. Might also be worth injecting air into same bubble of oil.
@@ColinWatters No, way higher. Depends on the oil of course. But consider that typical deep frying temperatures are 180-200C, so double the boiling point of water, and it’s not even close to boiling. Similarly, motor oils handle temperatures way higher than that.
Hot water maybe?
@@Emcik That would boil even faster, making the problem worse. You need something that _doesn’t_ boil, not something that boils _sooner!_ 🤦♂️
A cheap possible alternative for a higher boiling point fluid could be some oil based food coloring (if you’re trying to stay in the edible coloring area and away from mixing chemicals with resin) plus they arnt very opaque and could look pretty cool! :)
Ok.. this was so cool.. not going to lie.. i jumped when that POPPED.. Happy anniversary too YALL!!!
Thanks Mate 😊 yeah me too 😂
If not water, maybe you could inject something else that won't boil, then turn it into a really cool looking lamp or something.
Use vegetable oil or something similar won’t boil and can still dye it
Oil based paint could possibly work or it might end up mixing with the resin 🤔.
Antifreeze coolant, non deluded. It’s thicker that way and there are a few colors to choose from, depending on what you auto parts store carries.
Coolant can still boil but brake fluid has a higher boiling point and can be dyed as well
Maybe mineral oil? It’s clear and might take to dyes or pigments well?
You should recast the second one, the one that exploded. You could mix up a different colored resin, "I think purple or red would be fantastic", and then pour that around that exploded resin blank and then stick it into the vac chamber.
I was thinking the same thing recast #2 in new mold with a bright color.
@@jesanoldude Turn it into a sphere or a lava lamp shape, would look amazing.
So, moisture makes the Resin get hotter, which makes it set faster, which makes it get hotter, which makes it set faster. And so goes the cycle. It's called, "run away exothermic reaction. Try doing it by injecting epoxy mixed with color. This wont have the effect of adding moisture.
I actually jumped - more than the scariest horror I’ve ever watched!
I personally like the dynamic effect of the second one, but the fourth one is interesting! If you've ever heard of an enhydro quartz (pretty highly prized by gemstone collectors), it's a piece of quartz that formed with a pocket of liquid inside of it, and that fourth one you did really gives a similar effect to those!
"Hope this thing doesn't explode on me" famous last words XD loved the video
Thanks Mate
Happy anniversary! We need a part 3, experiment with different levels of salinity until you get one that matches the density of the resin exactly!
Thanks Amanda 😊 will do
I was thinking the exact same thing.
Yes
2 is my favorite. You definitely don’t look old enough to be celebrating 23 years of marriage! Congratulations to you both 🥂🍾
Happy Anniversary! Congrats on 23 years. Me and my misses are coming up on 26.
Thank you 😊 That's awesome guys
I absolutely love your sense of experimentation and curiosity just for the sake of discovery. I also love that you try everything you can think of as well. I also LOVE that you keep trying and using what you learned moving forward instead of giving up when you fail or don't get the desired result.
Thankyou 😊
@@BensWorx get a specific gravity meter, find the spg of the resin mixture, then adjust your salinity to the same spg, it should float in the middle
Simp. jk
that slo-mo lol loved it
Thanks Frank
Oooooooooooaaaaaaaahhhhh
❤❤❤❤🎶🎶🎶❣
This is the most futuristic thing I've seen all day. Especially considering it's May 1st where I am...
Omg Ben, i bet when you disappear to your "mancave" your wife is on standby by the phone to call an ambulance lol 🤯😂😂👏👏👏❣
Congrats on the anniversary! I've heard the traditional gift for a 23rd anniversary is resin, hell of a coincidence.
Thanks Charlie 😊
You should try casting one of those in resin, then you could trim it on lathe. Might be cool
Two vids in as many days? We don’t deserve you Ben! Happy anniversary to you and Nichole! Fascinating project, looks like you potentially have a line of art pieces to sell in your Etsy store!
Thanks Max 😊👍
23 years and counting, that's incredible! Have a great day, you two! ^-^
2 is the best! Consider casting it again with a complimentary color resin, then turn it! The other color would seep into all those crevices of the blow out. Mega cool
Thanks Mate, great idea
you should try playing around the salt level to make it less dense so it'd float half way! and Happy Anniversary!
will do, Thanks Mate 😊
I liked the second attempt one at 5:25. "We will jam it in the bottom." I laughed and have a huge smile on my face.
Congratulations on the anniversary! I hope the day was spent well and was full of love
Thank you 😊
I appreciate you so much for using safety equipment when it exploded! People don't realize how dangerous things can be near their eyes. Such a cool video!!
Thankyou
The 4th one is my favorite. Congratulations on 23 years. My Hubby and I are celebrating our 20th this year.
Thanks Angi 😊 congratulations on 20yrs
That's amazing: 23 years!!! Very Happy Anniversary!!!
Thank you 😊
2 is my favorite. The explosion, man!
Happy Anniversary Nicole and Ben. My wife and I will celebrate our 49th anniversary in August. Number 4 by the way.
Thanks Bob 😊 congratulations on 49
Heyyy. Congrats on the wedding anniversary. Im scared of marriage because of my parents getting divorced, I hope its nothing but peace and love between you and her for the rest of your lives, Also your videos are pretty epic!
Thanks Mate 😊
@@BensWorx No problem 😁
Just remember, you're not your parents and neither will be your mate. Whatever you decide though, I wish you happiness and good luck!
Wow Ben, I’ve been subbed for so long and always assumed you were 28 - early 30s! You don’t look like you should be celebrating your 23rd wedding anniversary!! With that said, cheers mate! Thanks as always for the wonderful content!!
Thank you 😊 It must be the camera 😂
Happy anniversary, I happen to be celebrating my 12th anniversary today. Hope you have a wonderful day.
Thank you 😊 Happy Anniversary Michael
May the 2nd!? Only may 1st here. Lol. Sometimes I forget about the date line.
Thanks Mark 😂
He's from the future
I kinda wish the side of the cup was totally smooth so we could see the bubbles better. The steam bubbles gave it a really cool effect.
Congrats on your anniversary! You're becoming a regular Bill Nye the science guy. Ben's Worx the Science Jerx. 😁
Thank you 😊
That was cool. thank you for trying my suggestion. I’m glad you weren’t hurt in the process
Awesome! Thanks for trying this out!
Thanks Mate
Congratulations on the 23rd wedding anniversary to you and Nicole. Very interesting video mate well done.
Thankyou 😊
Happy wedding anniversary, God Bless.
Favourite second one lol.
"Tomorrow Ben walks into the workshop and plonks down 4 slices of buttered toast and a jar of vegemite "Now for today's experiment... wink
Thank you 😊👍
Happy anniversary guys.
You should put number 2 in lightly colored resin and then turn it to expose the chambers from the explosion.
Thank you 😊 yes definitely
Boy, you do learn something new everyday. Awesome experiment, Ben.
Happy anniversary man, I found your channel a couple of days ago and I absolutely love it
Thankyou 😊 and welcome to my channel
Enjoy you anniversary. For us it will be the anniversary date when a dear cat passed on - 21 years, 3 months & 6 days of very fond memories. May you & Nicole surpass 21 years to at least our 46 years and neither of you require a blue or black injection, lol.
Thank you 😊 I'm sorry for your loss
Happy anniversary!!!! I like the exploding one the best I think it could be fun to play around with filling the voids with pigments.
Thank you 😊
Ok hear me out here. Put water and mixed resin in a bucket, take one of those giant drill mixers and put it on a stand and have it mix the entire time its curing. What would happen?
I would say put it in a bottle and shake it the entire time but obviously the pressure would make it pop
Ahh edit: also I would use one of the bakers dough spatulas instead of a batter mixer. Since folding the water into it would be better than essentially blending it
EPIC! This just turned into my favorite video. Thar whole 2nd sequence was beautiful.
Thanks Matthew 😊
Happy Anniversary Ben! thank for the experiment.
Thank you 😊
Congrats and happy anniversary! Thanks for the bonus vid!
Thanks Alex 😊
Maybe if you heat up the water before injecting it, it wont boil and build up pressure
#2 would look great in a project 💜
Happy anniversary to you and Nichole! Great experiment, I liked the explosion. The end result really looks interesting.
Thank you 😊
Congratulations to you both on your 23rd wedding anniversary.
Thank you 😊
I’ve just stumbled across your channel. I love your dedication!
Thanks Tee 😊 and welcome to my channel
@@BensWorx thank you 😊
Happy anniversary! I’ve been watching your videos for quite awhile now every night before I go to bed because they calm me down and I always enjoy seeing the artistic things you come up with. Thank you for the content and I hope you two had a great day. (Also thank Nicole for letting you get away with posting a video on your anniversary lol)
Interesting results. Thank goodness the explosion didn't do any more damage. I was worried. Thank you for the upload. I hope you have a wonderful Anniversary!!
Thank you 😊
That was really interesting, cheers! And happy anniversary!
Thank you 😊
I would imagine that playing with different salt saturation could impact the buoyancy of the water in the resin.
I'd be interested to see how other fluids react too. Like glycerin
he should try nitro glycerin
Massive fan of no. 4 the water is cool, Happy Anniversary!
Thankyou 😊
6:07 - Smiley Face 🙂!!!
Awesome experiments!!!
Happy anniversary! Hope you both had a fantastic day! You deserve it 😁
Oh, and I like resin number 2...it's got "personality"...andall the crevices and bubbles look great
Thank you 😊
Sick video Ben love it
Thankyou
when are you choosing who wins the give away
Use a light blue epoxy then do the experiment adding water ago that it does the controlled explosion again. Afterwords add a storage color to the original light blue one and see how cool it would be after you turn it
Congratulations on your Anniversary. Like the experiments
Thank you 😊
I was waiting for it to explode. I knew it was coming and it still scared the shit out of me 🤣
Happy Anniversary, Ben & Nicole! Hope you all have a great day! P.S. Another cool experiment! I liked the salt water results.
Thank you 😊
Neato
Sick
I knew it was going to blow, but man, did I jump. Yes!!
I'm loving these experiences Ben, keep up the good work!
Happy anniversary man! Try using like half the salt you used in the water. It should reduce the density enough for it to stay half way.
Thanks Logan 👍
Jesus Christ I’m Knackered for a hard days work of football and hanging out on the beach but a 1am upload is not to be missed
Thanks Mate 😊
I’m a luck girl in the US. It’s dinner time for me. Yet, it would have been worth staying up for!!
I was having an absolutely horrible day today and stumbling upon your channel cheered me up. Thank you for sharing all your experiences and experiments. I enjoy watching the process. Much love from the Philippines! 🇵🇭✨
I instantly thought of Chewbacca when you did that slow mo of the explosion lol. Happy Anniversary!!
Lol its so weird I just suggested this yesterday!
👍
Ok that just explode, like it
me, knowing full well something was going to pop, still getting jump scared when it actually happens LOL
happy anniversary and many happy returns! I wonder if using either a gel or alcohol based dye might fair better? is there such a thing as a type of resin that cures below the boiling point of water?
Thank you 😊 I'll do some research 👍
You should try that with oil
My wife has a suggestion for this concept. How about de-gassing the water and keeping it ice cold? Might help with the expansion.
Yeah that’s a great idea
Nice experiment, thanks for sharing
Happy anniversary to you and Nicole, hope you had a great day.
Thank you 😊
I also wanna see water and resin mixed on a larger scale like in a 10 gallon jug or something :D
Are you trying to kill the man?
@@WereCreed If the man stands back far enough, the man will not die
@@gloffrey4968 If the man replicated this video with 10 gallons, it'd be fairly dangerous and violent
@@WereCreed the man shall definitely do that
Try Distilled water, it wont boil!
Unfortunately that is only true in laboratory conditions, once it has any impurities in it, it will boil. So by adding dye in it will allow the distilled water to boil. What he needs to do it use a slow set epoxy that won't get very hot and cause the water to heat up so drastically.
That's extremely dangerous as the moment you break the surface it boils instantly
Mythbusters did a myth of exploding water
Scared me!😂. And Happy Anniversary. ❤️🙏🏻❤️
😂 Thanks Karen 😊
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Congrats!
Great Project. Very nice result!
Happy anniversary to you and your beautiful wife. Tomorrow will be my and my girlfriends tenth anniversary. I hope the two of you had a beautiful day together.

Man that slow mow was awesome! So glad you had your face shield on. I like them all. Could you recast them and fill the explosion voids with colored resin? Happy Anniversary you two. I really appreciate you Ben. Your a good dude.
Thank you 😊 Yeah I will recast them 👍
Happy anniversary, you two!
Thank you 😊
Happy anniversary guys and the one that exploded is definitely my favorite
Thank you 😊
Happy Anniversary and this cracked up and I love all of them
Thank you 😊
Very cool experiment! 👏👏👏
Happy anniversary, I hope you both had a great day
