How to Hit a Prefect Topspin Forehand

Spot on! I've been playing (learning) tennis for a few months only. I'm a mom and an airline pilot. Your explanations are amazing for beginners. Even my coach (former professional player) was surprised how much I got better since I've been watching your videos. 😀
I have no words to express how much I love learning this wonderful sport. For sure you're a part of it.

Wow thank you so much!! I’m honored to be part of your tennis journey. Best of luck and if you’d like me to personally help you I do offer stroke analysis and Zoom lessons. You can learn about it here: onlinetraining.2minutetennis.net/programs

Haha! I've just got a new coach and he made videos of my forehand and backhand and sent them to the owner of the court because he was so amazed and could not believe how precisely I was doing them (I'm a 47 yo beginner). I've watched your videos so many times that I almost know them by heart. And I have to tell you that you are doing so good with those stuff some can't (or don't want to) understand - only because you are not coaching pros, you are TEACHING recreational players. Your advices and explanations are totally USEful eventhough pros are doing differently. Sometimes we have to take extra miles in order to arrive in our destination. We will understand later why it was necessary. 😊

Nice explanation. Your videos are the most logical on the Net that I can find. I am new to tennis, realized I am not bending my knees, and possibly that my racquet is not closed enough on the take-back leading to high flying balls, like the 2-1-2, and I did notice that I tend to face the ball at the point of contact and not the net (good). I do think I will record myself and try to see what I'm doing. I think if you did a video on how to record yourself for helping someone (like you) analyze their game or parts of it, that would be something I've not seen on other tennis channels. Like, what angles, what frame rates, what strokes would help you as an analyst analyze the student's game if they can't be there with you. Lastly, ignore the critics on TH-cam. It's like, "You came all the way from Espana or wherever just to leave a snide comment?"

Hi Ryan, watched this one and the other video where you combined the forehand, backhand top spin and serve. Love your checkpoints! One question on the serve, as we coil and load on the right leg (lean backwards) how it it possible to throw the ball 1-2ft inside the baseline? That’s my struggle.

keeping the left arm on the racket (right handed player) will form the structure, As mentioned by Homer Kelley Golfing machine, we call it power package. Powerpackage form a structure, as of if the right hand move the shoulder will follow as well as the rest of the components, as it is all connected. That will automatically do what you say the unit turn. In my opinion. never intentionally control our pivot directly, as hand is the only component feeling the weight and torque of the club/racket. Within the neurocircutry, if we are using pivot to command the rest of the component, we will call it over shadowing... As Tim Gallaway address this as using self one to control your motion

Wrist lag is fine but don’t purposely do it. It ruins more forehands than it helps. Nobody taught Federer wrist lag. A player’s natural athleticism will allow it to happen. Don’t force it. That’s why I never teach it. Have a great day!!!
