I planted my money tree in the ground, here in Florida, about 2 years ago. I was just looking at it today, and noticed what looked like a bloom emerging. I had no idea that they bloomed or even provided edible nuts. So excited!
You probably did another video somewhere on the topic but Wikipedia is confusing on the topic. It says the aquatica seeds kills 5 of 6 rats but the glabra species is edible seed (with boiling). The only difference (from pics on google) is the color of the tips of bloom flowers and the trunk swelling … I wonder many things … can the two “species” be crossed? Is one really poisonous and one not? Also can it fruit in container? How many years to flower and fruit? So much misinformation about southern plants and their variations …
Sawadee krub, here in the USA 🇺🇸, They braided 5 Pachira Aquatic together, and sell it as a house plant 🪴, ...I didn’t know it can get so tall, and have beautiful flowers and edible nuts 🌰.
LG Bernd

I like how dramatic he acted when he first tasted the nut.

Î fear they are really Pachira glabra with white flowers, much cheaper than the hard to find real and expensive Pachira aquatica...
