Nice work Hans, the Baobab tree can also grow in more tropical areas, not only the hot/wet season & hot/dry season, that's where they "store" the water during the dry. The Baobab tree should be grown everywhere from tropical areas to the temperate areas, the tree is a super-food, the fruit, seeds, leaves, the fruit can give a "bread", a powder for drinks, shakes, teas, brews, beers, the leaves for salads, and the fiber of the bark for ropes, clothes etc. the tree itself is super aesthetic, it contrasts with the panorama, and it contrasts superbly with the sunsets & sunrises on the local scenarios.
Tip from an African; In Africa Baobab trees are never planted close to the home, and when you see one growing near a structure, you uproot it immediately. The roots and tree will destroy your home.
Hi Hans, I am from Gujarat state of India. A year ago, I collected three saplings of baobab, spotted a medium sized baobab in public gardens in Gandhinagar city, just yesterday, I managed to fell its fruit ( two are still hanging on it). I ate it and have eleven seeds of it. While searching for its germination process, I am so happy to see your baobab collection. 👌👌👌
Just found this video after trying to germinate Adansonia Digitata and Adansonia Grandidieri. Hopefully they will grow nice. Thanks for the great video!

Hello, I am very happy to see the video, and there are one question and one request. What's the 9 kinds of Adansonia? The Wiki only showed 8 kinds of Adansonia. Another one, could you show me how to differentiate the 9 kinds of Baobab from the leaf? Although the flower of different baobabs are not the same, but may be these baobabs are not in reproductive age. If you respond me, me would be honored. Thank you.
@@fananmohamed9053 that differs from tree to tree. We have one customer, who bought the trees from us and he had fruits three years ago already. Our trees have the same age, but only one delivered one fruit once......

The African tree, maybe a year.
Great garden, im planning to plant one in the ground. Hope to check your garden in Thailand. Im trying to germinate seeds here in the Philippines.
That should work if the seeds are reasonably fresh, soak them for a few days before planting.

About 8 years in the ground.
Could you tell me which species is the fastest growing one?
I think either Adansonia digitata or Adansoniia perrieri.
I just germinated the giant boabab in the Netherlands where it's currently very cold
Good luck!
