Wow Dani! Your videography has become so professional it's like watching a National Geographic special. Incredible images. And loving the location and photograph subject histories you are providing! Looking forward to the next video!
When you say adventure, you really mean ADVENTURE! So glad that in the end things worked out, but I appreciate that you turned some of these obstacles into opportunities, such as learning the amazing history of witch trials there, and the gorgeous photos during blue hour. Really looking forward to the next video 💜
I swam for two hours in the Bristol channel to an island to see puffins when I was a teenager. The experience was incredible, but could have been fatal had I not been a ridiculously strong and experienced swimmer back then, as there are crazy currents, and no one knew I was doing it (plus in the 80's, we didn't have readily available and affordable communication devices)
Just a mindset you were working with. Often fishing is primary over transport anyway. Glad safe, incredible photos and experience. Looking forward to the next part. Stay warm
well, you said you almost cried when you finally got to the island - and i was sitting on my couch watching you and I was crying! So beautiful and thank you so much for sharing your adventures!
Ignoring the panic and the chaos that was that whole trip.... those birds really DO NOT care at all about you do they? thats amazing, to be able to get so close and not have the birds flee and avoid you as much as possible, would love an experience like that.... without the boat issues!
Dani, you are the female version of David Attenborough, the BBC or National Geographic Would be lucky to have somebody like you working for them. You are amazing.
I can totally relate to your experience with Hornoya. Firstly it is an absolutely fascinating place, I was there the second time. On the other hand, nothing better happen to you on the island, because there is no accessibility by phone. I stayed two days at the lighthouse and during the whole time it was not possible to reach someone by phone, because I had something to clarify. Three phone numbers and more than 20 calls over two days, even during regular opening hours. It is really an remote place and you can be forgotten on this island. In the end, everything was fine, but I would not want to experience an emergency there. Great videos, I look forward to more content from you.
Years ago my husband and I went to Cape St Mary's in Newfoundland and walked out to the Seabird rookery. Thousands of Seabird were flying around us and landing on the cliffs, it was one of the most exhilarating moments in my life and I've never forgotten it. Thanks for reminding me Dani. Your videos continue to stun we with their beauty. ❤
Hello from Northern California. Every time, I watch your videos I am in awe of the beauty that is exposed, through your videography and still shots. Thank you, for another beautiful video and a bit of history of the Island...looking forward to next week.
Thank you for sharing that dark history…..it is time on this planet to bring up all these atrocities and begin the healing as we move on to a new earth🙏💕💜👍🌍
Hi 👋, Dani , Thank you for sharing your your experience with the puffin and the inland, some amazing photos, the witches 🧙♀️ must of put a spell on you trying to keep you both on the island 🏝️ sorry wrong island, it could of been very interesting especially if you could see the Northern Light 💡, you are very privileged to be able to see and record your photos and filming and then to share it with everyone, Phil from the moulin France.
Hornøya is truly an amazing place. My wife and I went there in the summer of 2017 and were lucky enough to be completely alone on the island. We've talked about going back there and this video for sure makes us want to go back even more! Especially while there's still snow there, looks absolutely wonderful. Thanks for sharing, love your videos! 🙏👍
Wow fantastic, a lot different to Cambridge, been to Vardo loads of time on my yearly Hurtigruten trips, I always take a walk to Vardohus Fortress, but in the fifteen years or so of trips I never herd of the 100 witches memorial (Steilneset ) many thanks for this, you are the absolute queen of nature photography, another on of my trips up north was to Svalbard and I recommend you take a trip there to if you have not done it already, again many thanks the fantastic nature clips
The look of pure happiness on your face during blue hour made me smile ! Awesome trip ! Just everything seemed to go wrong & then the results were worth it.
Stan Smith (my fantasy baseball team name), I grew up in Colorado and hated Winter. Moved away for the Navy, and other jobs, but moved back over 6 years ago, and I am blessed because I can still tolerate low temps. Shorts and t-shirt in anything above 50f, shorts and long sleeve shirt at 45. Thermals at 35 and below. It’s easier to stay warm than it is to stay cool.
Don't worry about the crying Danni... I did that for you watching this. You're fantastic! And the one who made the photos of you deserve BIG credit for the job aswell! Thank you!
SAME I cried for her lol I am a bird lover and they're one of my favorite things to photograph obviously I am no where near her level of photography its just something I enjoy but I love puffins they're so cute so I couldn't stop the tears from coming
Your work is amazing Dani.... Those double exposure pics are wonderful..... And if you are going to be stuck somewhere then an Island full of Puffins is not a bad place to be..... :-)) xxxx
I went to skellig to capture puffins last week and actually got back in time 😂 3 hours are way too short though, so you were lucky and unlucky at the same time! Hope you had enough warm clothes, the island seems like a blast! Can’t wait for the next video!!!
First of all, great to see your happiness in your smile you finally manged what you planned to do dispite all the challenges provided by mother nature and humans. Great footage you presented for us and many many thanks for all your efforts. Dani with thousands of birds flying around must have been balm for your soul. CU
I was lucky enough to spend time in Vardo and a day on Hornoya in june 2017. Amazing place. The snow had gone but the atmosphere there is incredible. Imagine living that area during the witch trials. Terrifying. Thanks.
Hello Dani 🤗 The new episode of the Arctic series turned out great, the story with the boat was really adventurous, great shots of the flying seagulls and of course the puffins, have a good time Dani 🐧❤️
Hello Dani, a great video and a spectacular story that you didn't really need. Although then you wouldn't have had the really great shots from the blue hour. In Germany we say: if you go on a trip, you can experience something. But you're still doing something wrong. It's summer and you're going into winter. 😉🙃😄😄 "Warm" greetings from Germany
Glad you're ok. It that a radar base in the background? (at 11:34) Always wondered if airwave communication affects birds' ability to navigate... Cheers!
Wow, what an adventure. Must have been real nerve racking not knowing if you were going to be stranded. We have an island in Washington State, USA, that has Tufted Puffins that nest during late spring and summer. The problem is that you have to stay 200 yards away from the shore. If you get lucky, you will see some puffins out in the water close enough to get pictures of.
I’m 55 and you are my new Jacques Cousteau!!! Love you and the brilliant photography/filmography!! Who is in charge of that very classified radar dome?
I was just about to comment about how fascinating humans are, living in such extremes of cold and heat. Then you brought up the witch trials. That brought me back to reality.
Bonjour Dani, I also love photography and I wish to know more about what computer photo editing programs you might be using. Also about your camera. I see it’s a Canon but I cannot see the model. Are you using a mirror less camera? Anyway, I’ve enjoyed your videos and love your photographic work. Looking forward to seeing more Merci beaucoup Lauren
I like her spirit, talent, accent, photoworks, style.
I lived there for 5 years. Miss that rock
Stunning photos! Your calming voice and Mona lisa smile ain't bad either...
Photography, narration, video, montage, story - FANTASTIC!
Absolutely agree!👍
Wow Dani! Your videography has become so professional it's like watching a National Geographic special. Incredible images. And loving the location and photograph subject histories you are providing! Looking forward to the next video!
Everything happens for a reason...maybe the energy of all those beautiful 'witches'...Thank you for sharing🙏🙏🐧🐧🐧🐧💕
Young lady, you are a wonder. You take lemons and make lemonade. What a great video. Thanks for sharing.

Thks Dani for another amazing video. Love your Puffin shots. Glad you managed to do what you intended to do & able to get back to mainland.
What an experience, glad everything worked out!
Well, that must have been aukward. Great video.
That's where you can take your lens cover off and make it blend in better. But with bright-red jacket it doesn't make much sense either. :)
