There are just no words in the universe to describe the beauty of this nature, nor of your talent to capture it. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world ❤
I can see why you especially wanted to go in winter, Dani - what a great snowy backdrop for your excellent series of photographs, and not just of puffins. A few years ago my wife and I went there all the way from New Zealand especially to photograph puffins, but in late spring without snow - still a most memorable trip though! Your video has reminded us again of that special island. We have watched nearly all of your films with real enjoyment, but the two Hornøya ones are perhaps your best yet. Well done!
"Adorable, emotional", a little wild too, and filming Puffins in flight certainly improved the reaction speed needed for the secret series😃 Thank you Dani, for beautiful pictures, for ignoring cold feet and bird poo, for funny comments when left behind on islands, and for all the coming wonderful adventures💚
I saw your video with the baby squirrels. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. My 2 kids(grown now) are both gingers. As well as enrolled Comanche Natives. When my daughter was born, I saw her tiny self and bright red hair...so I've called her Skwerl ever since (Alyson is her given name.) We share that bond and she is adorable as a pre-K teacher. Just as sweet and resourceful as your little babies were. Thank you for a beautiful experience. ❤❤
Absolutely magical, Dani. Loved the hares at the end. Just so incredibly proud of you. You've achieved greatness in your work and I know it will just get more and more incredible. Very much looking forward to the surprise series. I can only hope everything turned out well!
Hey Danni Can u imagine this earth without all the lovely animals? I just can't. They make my days alot brighter and bring me out of my depression where nothing else can. Just love wildlife. Those double crested cormorants were so cool. I saw my first here on the top of a high rise building....that's near a pond, so it made sense. What a beauty.
Monday morning on my daily commute to the office and your video took me to another world. Absolutely stunning, thank you for being the bright light in my day. ❤
Thank you for sharing your outstanding images Dani, and also mention of the lenses that you use. It appears that the 300mm is perhaps the longest lens you need, which is good news for wildlife photographers !
This is magnificent in every way. I think it's your best work yet. The quality of the images and video, the scenes you captured, the editing, the commentary, and the emotional effect...all simply superb. You two are a great team. Thank you and hearty congratulations on your growing successes!
Flawless camera work by both of you. Amazing colours and patterns on these birds which has been high lighted with the white snow back drop, all those birds, the air must have been pretty thick with the smell of ammonia thanks for sharing.
Great images of the birds on Hornoya. I have been there twice in spring. At this time there was access to the lighthouse on the hill and also to the cliffs behind the lighthouse where a lot of puffins were nesting. it was possible to take pictures when the birds were approaching the nest from the sea. I heard that a year or so later this part of the island was closed because a big rock felt down where the stairs are.
Thks Dani for another incredible video. Beautiful videos & photo shots of the Puffins. Those night shots-are those animals Hares or Iceland version or something else? Love the fox shots. Cute little animals. Go well with your tour next year.
Absolutely Beautiful Dani, great shots with much better cameras than I had when I was living in North Norway, and in the Shetlands, at Sumber Head in the South. A Pentax was my camera (1970-75) never had any issues with freezing, inside a bag inside my Down Jacket, it's all timing. The one thing I do envy is that there was no easy video/movie. Arctic foxes were a favorite of mine when out Reindeer herding. They would just appear, Hang around, and then as if their cell coverage would head off into the abyss of time. Thanks, Dani for bringing your Time, to Us. Very Special............Robin
What a spectacular video! You are an amazing photographer/videographer. Taking pictures of birds on the ground is one thing, but in flight, it is not an easy task. Puffins are so much fun to photograph, but my absolute favorite is albatross, so majestic in flight, but quite clumsy on the ground. I had the chance to photograph many a few weeks ago in the North part of Kauai (Hawaii) where they breed from November to May.
A wonderful black and white episode. The Bleak Midwinter section was a delightful surprise. And I can't wait for the results of your arctic foxes expedition. But I will. Thanks for sharing all this with us.
Hello Dani, thanks for such an incredible video with so many excellent shots. Well, like I did with the previous one I will share the link to this video to a norwegian fishing communitiy I am a member of. Btw, the underlaying music and the volume of it always fits to the footage. Thats a fantastic creativ work. !!!
You might want to consider some cheap wet-proof jacket/trouser combinations (extra large to fit over you clothing) if you are going to be rolling around in guano in future Dani. Much easier to wash than your jacket
Another wonderful video Dani. It reminds me of a visit to Bempton Cliffs in Yorkshire, without the snow of course, but the sheer number of birds is similar. 😃
Stunning photos as always. The Puffins was so cute!!! 😍 It makes me want to go out with my camera and just taking photos of whatever animals and birds I meet down at the Swedish seaside. The trip to Island would have been really fun to join but I don't have the funds for that so it will remain a dream for now I guess. Keep up the good work! I'm looking forward to the squirrel forest project later. 🐿
The Puffins is truly high on the list of birds I want to shoot. They have a certain something about them that just can't be explained. Razorbills fit right in on top with the Puffins in that regard.
One thing I noticed in the intro... You are mounting the VideoMic Go wrong like I was when I first got it... The red shock absorbers need to be flat and up straight. The little triangle indicators shoudl point at the inner corners of the shock absorber when correctly mounted, not outside corners... It matters because the shock absorbers need their maximum flexibility to isolate shock and sound from the camera to the mic. Any pre-tension will greatly diminish its capability in this regard.
Beautiful photography of the Atlantic puffins, Razor-bills, Guillemots, Commorants, etc. You've really captured them in their element in comical, touching, and imaginative ways. Interesting to see them fighting. I've read how birds are not magnanimous although they partner for life in Joan E. Strassmann's "Slow Birding: The Art and Science of Enjoying the Birds in Your Own Backyard." I hope you create a 2024 calendar with your Arctic series, and can't wait to see your next adventure with Arctic foxes and puffins. Jenny 🐧🐺❄
I love puffins it’s strange that in Northern Ireland we don’t see them but 300k down in Kerry they appear of the coast near skillig rock , a beautiful bird with a beautiful face and eyes and the sad like appearance they have .
There are just no words in the universe to describe the beauty of this nature, nor of your talent to capture it. Thank you so much for sharing this with the world ❤
Very well done
Watching this on a big TV in HD was absolutely amazing. Your footage is incredible. Something I’ll never see in person so I’m grateful for this

Sometimes the beauty of nature you capture in your shots makes me cry tears of joy and satisfaction and make me forget my sorrows for a little moment.

The Puffins are magnificent and the white rabbits at the end were really beautiful!🥰🐧🐧🐇🐇

Another wonderful video Danni. . . wishing that Iceland wasn’t so far from New Zealand, otherwise would be very keen to join your expedition
Oddly enough, the music at 5:54 is the same music that plays when someone starts a fight with me.
So beautiful!
Great video! The puffins are beautiful.
Bird flue is hammering those birds atm so you where pretty lucky
You are simply the best. Absolutly beautiful.
Beautiful video! Personally, I have a problem that I don't know when to film and when to take photos. :)
