- Recording Magazine Editor, Paul Vnuk, Jr. unboxes and reviews the new RME UCXII audio interface. For the purposes of the review, Paul records a jazz duo using the standalone DUREC recording feature and assembles the audio into his DAW. The unit is portable as an audio interface, but also a standalone recorder. The RME UCXII is the ultimate advanced audio interface. #RME #UCXII #FireFace #Recordingmagazine

Nice review, very clear. Wish you'd shown the cables at the beginning a bit more though.
I'm here only because of the cables....
Wish it had two headphone outs like the BFP
Why is your voice clearer than HERS ? 😜. Is it because of a condenser mic instead of a dynamic ?
RME UCXII SAY its 40 CHANNEL I/O. .It has 4 QTR INCH balanced inputs and 6 balanced line outputs in the back. Through SIDIF multi pin cable u say 16 analogue and 24 digital...being an ignorant here...i want to understand ..how i can use this spidif out to create 16 analogue channels for 7.1.4 speaker Dolby Atmos set up? What i should connect this spidif to so i get a linear and balance audio out put for 71.4 ? My concern here is Only Output and not input. will appreciate your feedback on this. Thanks
Hi, thx for a great video! Can u recommend any external power brick? kind regards/ Andreas
i have the first UCX and its been a fucking rock for so many years. But im considering upgrading. Do you think its work it?
It's an upgrade, at least regarding the specs and features, but the original UCX is far from obsolete.
Is there a thickened usb cable like the babyface pro to eliminate backlash?
Hello. Will the phones output handle a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 1990 Pro open back headphones? (250 ohms)
Could I link a baby face pro fs? Also I record my vocals in dry space in my room could I use the software you provide do turn up my headphones and mic pre so I don’t have to keep running back to the booth, or could I get a hardware remote?
So...there is no power button how do you turn the UCX ii on?
Hold the knob/button down for a few seconds for power on/off.
