    Great work on all that gear, I know it takes a bit of time and money to build out that many bags. Love that FILBE Main pack, featured it a video a while back on my INCH kit. I'm digging the style of the pockets on the Rush 24 and your gear. Well done. Now that I think of it, that pack could easily be transformed into an INCH bag if you add a bit more food

      thanks brother. I can't really use that filbe cause I still use it when I go to the field so it's loaded out for the field. thanks for stopping by

    Great video! Thanks. If you were to choose in between this one and the Maxpedition Falcon II, what would you go for, is that's even a reasonable question?

    • @preparedlife3114
      @preparedlife3114  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As far as comfort. I'd go with the 5.11. The maxpedition is very stiff although it's a great camera bag.

      @@preparedlife3114 Thanks! I have the falcon, and I'm considering selling it and purchase the 5.11 Your video helped me getting even more sure.

      For a Day Pack and/or a day hike maybe make that wine and cheese ! And the pack is about the correct size for a Day Pack ! tjl

    Great Video ! But too much for a day hike... And to much redundancy ! Ounces equals POUNDS ! Remember "The Ten Essentials" by the Seattle Mountaineers. And a Day Pack will keep you safe overnight and bring you home safe the next day. Take only pictures, leave only footprints and kill only time ! And take your Day Pack on any and all short day hikes. Eyes UP and lights down ! Thank you for the video ! tjl

    could this bag easily fit a 2-3 person backpacking tent?

    • @preparedlife3114
      @preparedlife3114  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Daniel Felder you can strap it to the bottom of the bag or the side. depends on your creativity

    I have never used maxpedition packs although I have a couple of pouches of them..I have ILBE, the previous issued gears for USMC. Using it for backpacking or camping trips..how about FILBE? do u have the whole system? like assault pack? I dont find any vids on your FILBE.

    • @preparedlife3114
      @preparedlife3114  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yes I am currently using the system out in the field. if you subscribe I'll make the video when I get back lol

    Good video, Before my deployment im planning on hiking the appalachian trail, going to get about 1-2 weeks worth of stuff i can use, do you think this bag could do the trick or should i go one step up and go for the 72? awesome vid!

    • @preparedlife3114
      @preparedlife3114  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for sure get the 72. although it's a little heavy it's more comfortable and holds a lot more. where are you deploying and what branch?

    Is the rush 24 large enough as an alternative to a 3 day pack? Cos some brands like helikon tex Ghost pack is labeled as a 3 day, however it's only 31+ liters capacity.

    • @preparedlife3114
      @preparedlife3114  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I can comfortably be out for a week with this bag but everyone is different. technically it's called the 24 because it's meant for 24 hours. you can look at my rush 72 video for a bigger bag

    • @nicklim9299
      @nicklim9299 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Wow.. U can actually use this for a week?! Bloody hell! U sure got great packing skills my friend. I used my 24 last year for a 3 day trip to North West Malaysia.. The pack was filled to the brim end of the 3 days.. Full of stuff packed inside. But not sure if it can be enough for 4 days + trips in future.

    • @nicklim9299
      @nicklim9299 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Rush 72 I been contemplating for quite some time, but due to my smaller Asian body frame, I seek a pack that offers mobility yet able to have a good load out capacity. I used my Singapore Army issued 60 + liter field pack and my back nearly broke in half by the end of the day.. Used it for 5 days out field in the Singapore jungle..

  • @temperedstate8963

    I guess I'm confused. You take all of this on a day hike? Two cans of cooking gas, two MRE's, and two Mountain House meals? You have more in a day-hiking bag than I have in a three day Get-Home-Bag. What's your pack weight?

    • @preparedlife3114
