Great video. If you want a hammock that compresses smaller that the one you showed, check into Eagle's Nest Outfitters, their hammocks compress down to about the size of a softball but can hold 400 lbs off the ground with no problems...not plugging them or anything, just something to consider if size begins to become a problem
Thanks you! We appreciate the support of E2E. I hope to "see" you around the channel and Equip2Endure Website in the future. Thanks for watching. Be safe -Adam
I learned the hard way, when i ignored it the first time we went out into the field,"Pack lite, freeze at night." I bought a bigger ALICE pack, was made fun enough on the hump, but everyone was running low on stuff, ex. toilet paper, ha ha, and the next one, i wasn't the only one with a bigger pack. I also agree on the MRE's those mini hot dogs and the spaghetti were my favorites.
You guys got a new subscriber, tons of useful information. Read a few comments hating on this guy but he reminds me of most of the guys I hang with, seems like a good dude to me. Thanks.
The new and updated Rush 24 has the hip belt buckles on it now. It doesn't come with a hipbelt, apparently you have to buy a 5.11 TDU belt or something similiar to run through the buckles
I'm working on updating my equipment - but since the videos are done for free, it's taking a while to save up that money. Thanks for making me aware. Take care. -Adam
Just got mine. I have a number of packs; bigger and much bigger. I put too much in them. For me, this is just right for a get home bag; day hiking bag etc. Not a "B.O.B." but i'm not a bug out kinda guy. I love this bag. Highest rating I can give any product, I'll give to this one.... "I'll buy it again ."
the polartec standard issue beanies are my favorite. The only thing i will say, is that the coyote tan beanies that the USMC issues, makes you stand out like a sore thumb in a crowd, so I traded my Army buddy for a black one.
This Rush24 is a very durable, but I find it is the most uncomfortable bag I have on the shoulders and makes you sweat lots on your back as there is not sufficient space between you back and the bag. This bag should also come ready fitted with hip straps which I had to add myself. It would be much better in my opinion if the shoulder yoke was more padded and also the top of the straps at least an inch of padding and the back panel should provide more padding at the bottom across the lumber area and across the top to increase free air flow between the back and the pack. To make it perfect, the hip strap connection points should also be padded where they sit on the hips. The side pockets could do with being very slightly larger/ wider just to make it a little easier to put the Nalgene 38oz wide bottle. It can fit now, but its a tight squeeze.
I like the organization features of that bag. How would you judge the quality of the materials/construction? I have used lots of camelbak and maxpedition packs.
Great kit! I have the rush 72 and its great but last 8 months I have been using a Triple Aught Design Fastpack EDC and it is the best pack I have ever used and its USA made.
I've had the pack for a while now and its tough as nails. I use it for EDC with a big laptop and typical everyday gear. It would be great as a hiking and duty pack but i haven't been out on the trails with it yet.
Great review Marine, I own the Rush 72 and I think I'm gonna snag the Rush 12 for everyday light traveling around, good pack indeed. Keep up the good work fellas. Take Care.
The Rush 24 is a great Day Pack ! A Day Pack with "The Ten Essentials" by the Seattle Mountaineers will keep you safe overnight and bring you home the next day. Carry a weapon then carry a Trauma Kit and NIJ Level IIIA Backpack Armor ! tjl
What is the most weight you can pack this thing out to while maintaining comfort while walking over distance? Also, was that Ron Hood I saw on the intro? Edit: No hydration bladder in the back? Why.
Another awesome video, thanks for the insight. One question: why no socks? One or two pair of spare socks always come with me. Wet socks make a bad day. Thanks again!
I'm also less than convinced, even though such packs still attract me for easy access / organization design which are the only pluses. After years of travel with standard top loader hiking packs,I tried a similar tactical (not 5.11) panel loading pack on a several month trip overseas. but it performed badly on weight distribution, hung low on the back, pulled away from centre of gravity and after a short time my back core, felt strain. Any pack which exhausts the carrier's body, is detrimental.
Great Video and bag ! A Day Pack with "The Ten Essentials" by the Seattle Mountaineers will keep you safe overnight and bring you home the next day ! Trying to keep my Day Pack down to twenty pounds... Have a lot of stuff that I can take out and leave behind: Knee Pads, Googles, ... Also in the Pack is NIJ Level IIIA Backpack Armor and does fit in the Rush 24 ! When driving have with me a Six-Pack to a Case of water to fill a Bladder or bottle. Have never used a MRE, but have one for a warm meal and emergency food. Did like the Scrambled Eggs of the C-Rations... And a lot of the guys gave me there Scrambled Eggs... Good color on your bag, but a Black Bag needs the Streamlight Stylus Pro to see inside the bag... Thank you for the video ! tjl
Great Video ! And the audio is good also ! You should have a Day Pack for any short hike in the wilderness. Would only camp out overnight if I had to with the day pack, but I know that it will bring me home safe the next day ! Do you have any armor to go with the weapon ? My Go Bag/Get Home Bag is the Maxpedition Laptop Backpack bag (too small for a Day Pack) that fits a 17" or smaller laptop ! The bag fits NIJ Level IIIA Backpack Armor and offers more padding for the laptop. The bag is set-up to be VA, TSA and school friendly. And a Gun FREE Zone is a Gun FREE fire Zone... My uncle was iin the Marines WWII and in charge of a platoon and when he said to duck, NO one asked how far... Also he said he never lost a man. Are MREs better than C-Rations ? Thank you for the video (and ideas) ! tjl
I got this bag. I fell apart after 1 week. Got it replaced at base. Now after 5 months its all covered in ductape. Dont get this bag. Dont get it!!! But I love the bag for some reason, because its been with me through thick and thin. Its a love hate relationship
I try not to ever make negative comments, because I respect the community and feel like every video is worthwhile, but I would have rather had Chance actually review the PACK. I'm still really interested in what he thinks about different parts of it after using it for so long. Straps, weight distribution, durability, any gripes he had. I'd also like my 24 to have a hip belt, so, I would like to have heard what he had to say about the pack after it was on his shoulders for hours.
It will be much of a burden because it will fall apart internaly because of your books. Either ductape it inside and you shall be fine for 6 months. I have this bag, and I love hate it. Advice dont get it.
im crossed between the 24 and 72. i dont really need that much space so i dont think ill need the 72. but id like to have that wast strap that ill prob never use. since they dont give/sell one for the 24
Glad you found it informative and thanks for tuning in. Take care

I loved my rush 24 but i had to retire it after the strap pads wore out. took about two years or so but i got some great use in that time.
Good tip and thanks for watching!

Yeah, I was glad to have help from our Team Member Chance so I could get the review out to the E2E viewers. Thanks for watching, take care

Actually +23 degrees (above zero). Just below freezing. 0 degrees celsius is equivalent to 32 degrees F.

Finaly someone says it....i did never understand the point in buying a smallpak to attach stuff on instead of buying a bigger one...
Nice load out. I'd add a pair of wools socks but your kit is better than what I have.
I like the organization features of that bag. How would you judge the quality of the materials/construction? I have used lots of camelbak and maxpedition packs.

Currently researching a similar pack here in the UK, thanks for the info, very usefull...

Equip2Endure is a very good channel, definitely helped me on buying my 5.11 Rush 24 Hour Backpack. Thanks Guys!!!!!
Great review Marine, I own the Rush 72 and I think I'm gonna snag the Rush 12 for everyday light traveling around, good pack indeed. Keep up the good work fellas. Take Care.

luke skywalker is a badass and doesnt need a big bag he has all that on his utility belt and hi R2 unit
Thanks for the video! This bag is on my short list to get, glad to see a new review.
Thanks for reviewing this bag! Thinking about buying one.
I would suggest you get rid of the ASP baton and carry a key ring Kubaton on your person at all times.

You'll also be able to keep yourself company after eating those chili and beans... haha.
Thanks for the video
Adam will you make a review on some of the Camelbak's packs? I heard that the Linchpin is awesome.
This is a great video. Great review dude.
Adam is a cop. He went over that in some old videos.
I want to see what his normal carry knife is if the Chris Reeve is the backup!
For those of us that have the older versions, 5.11 does not have a way to add the modifications to the old pack, other than buying a new one.
Great review thanks

Great review, liked many of his ideas

How many spare mags would you carry for ar and handgun?
is that a sabretooth squirrl and the word "regret" on his arm? :-)
looks like a good bag
Very 'Highspeed' stuff brother. I know you and Adam are both prior service. You can tell in your language.LOL I talk the same . TC and great video.

Great review!
What watch are you wearing?
I want one of these so bad! great bag!
I got this bag. I fell apart after 1 week. Got it replaced at base. Now after 5 months its all covered in ductape. Dont get this bag. Dont get it!!!

Helluva a kit/loadout man!
Good video, thanks for posting
Finally a legitimate comment.
hey adam check out the camel bak bfm 500, high quality high speed.
Ooh-rah.. taking mine to desert tomorrow. BTW Join Toastmasters to work on ah & ums... sf devil.
cool pack, thanks for the review!
Cool... good review.
Haha I love Chance's intro.
Really good video
Is that pack in fde or sandstone?
Sean FDE.
Are the side pockets capable of holding a 1L Nalgene?
These Rush 24 can hold a nalgene 38oz wide top stainless steel bottle. Its a bit of a wiggle to get it in but it does go in the side pockets.
balaclava, not baklava lol. i need a tarp. need to look for a tarp...
You talk about not expanding the pack but pack to the max. Get the Rush 72
Yut yut Marine!

Meals Refusing to Exit.
Bah-Lah-Clah-Va
Read the title... -.-
511 doesn't make anything I want.
my point is that luke skywalker is a bad ass and im a starwars nerd
Too much weight.. Upgrade to a more appropriate pack.
Like?
5.11 rush 72
FishFind3000 Yup! I have a rush 72 & it fucking rocks..
im crossed between the 24 and 72. i dont really need that much space so i dont think ill need the 72. but id like to have that wast strap that ill prob never use. since they dont give/sell one for the 24
FishFind3000 The 24 actually accommodates waste straps, but they aren't included for some reason.
