A few people in these comments hit on it, but the long length is just a bit more comfortable for some guys. People who are truly into fashion (like those that watch this channel) understand that a slightly shorter (maybe even cropped look) is often better. However the “average” guy doesn’t understand this and would view that type of fit as too short. This is especially true in the US, where abercrombie is based out of.
Yeah I agree with you. Also some people who are really into fashion like longer tops. It’s just a preference but I have to agree I think Abercrombie are aiming to appeal to as many people as possible, hence the longer fit.

My thoughts exactly! Ordered their 7inch all-day shorts in black, and the colour is closer to navy (which is not even an option for these). Also, their hoodies are top quality, very soft- but I always go a size down.
That "Short sleeve" shirt looks like their take on a guayabera shirt which is popular traditional shirt in places like the Yucatán peninsula and Cuba. Since guayaberas are designed for hot weather they are a little boxy for better air flow so sweat isn't trapped.
The polos are meant to be tucked, thats why they are long. I do agree they need some shorter versions. The tucked sweater polo with the black pants was a dope look though, you should experiment with it more maybe. Anyways greet vid

When I moved to America 20 years ago it was a very popular brand, and it was also having a moment in the UK. Cheers for the video, great content as usual. About 10 years ago it was considered a kiddie/teenage brand, however recently their look is more mature and less overly branded. I'm a little stockier than yourself so the boxier fits will probably work well. Great video Harry! I’m not sure I completely agree with you, but I’m glad to hear your opinion on Abercrombie. I’ll have to look out for some of those things next time I buy from them.
I love their black athletic slim stretch jeans and super soft muscle Ts. That's like 90% of my casual clothes. I just add some J.Crew chinos and button downs for a bit more dressy occasions. Oh and Abercrombie's Fierce is my favorite fragrance. :D
Nice video man! Very interesting to hear your perspective. I like Abercrombie a lot, and I got their popover hoodie and it’s probably my favorite hoodie ever. Love the oversized feel. And yeah I agree they did intend for it to be oversized. I love it tho!
i appreciate reviews like this. i recently have been noticing the resurgence in their popularity. but as someone with a short torso i may have to skip their tops. great work as always Harry!
I actually like that the shirts from Abercrombie are more on the long side. If length is a complaint, I'm sure after a wash and dry it'll be the right length for most people.
I have the black version of pleated trousers in 32 length. They were a bit too long as I wanted a cropped look as well. I got an inch taken off at alterations and now they are perfectly cropped to last through style changes over the years.
Bro I've been watching you for a couple of years now, and your videos, especially the ones on sneakers, have really helped me step up my style. I had been occupied for a few weeks when all of a sudden your video appeared, and when I saw your haircut, I was Wow. Your hairstyle looks soo good. I was considering this type of middle part hairstyle because I have very long hair. Please create a video showing the hairstyle and giving the instructions you provided the barber, or post a photo to Instagram that includes all sides so that I may show my barber.
I really like your way of talking about sizes and how pieces are too long or too large, it's very interesting. Also very good to know that Abercrombie fits bigger than your real size
I’d never shops there. Who cares about the hype. And you just proved that even with an amazing physique……you were have trouble pulling off these items. COS way more current. Great video. Love for you to try other brands. In a series. Todd Snyder, Ted baker, theory, more unknown brands 👍🏼👍🏼
Another great video and I agree the shorts were the best! In my opinion Abercrombie quality and options were much better years back but as time went by the quality decreased and I found less items I wanted to buy...after your video I will take another glance and see what I think as well. Cheers Harry!
im based in dubai and abercrombie and finch is not only crazy expensive for the basic collection but also available in two locations both a million miles away from where i live. i guess i need to save up
it's a shame their tops tend to have an oddly long fit. I have the hoodie you tried on though and when folded at the bottom fits me perfect. It's also my softest hoodie at the moment and I can't wait to come back to it after summer ends. Cheers for the video, now I'm interested in their linen shorts!
Harry, you mentioned in one of your videos that you have big thighs and a small waist which often is a big problem while selecting pants. I have the same problem, could you please tell me where to get the perfect fitting trousers (black particularly).
I'm 6'2" with long arms and have loved their length for most garments. I like their boxy fit too. Any recs for a leveled up A&F that you can recommend?
Not sure how, but pretty sure you should buy size large for your tops for a better fit. Perhaps the length won't change much. To me A&F size L is identical to size L of most brands and not longer at all.
It’s great to see you review a brand I discovered recently and fell absolutely in love. I do feel that you might have different opinions if you had ordered everything in the size small. I’m 6’1, 32 inch waist and medium fits slightly lose on my 190 lb ish frame. I even had to get the size small in some of their oversized pieces. Great video!
Thanks man. Yes, you might be right, however if the brand are designing their pieces that was for my size, then it’s just not really the style for me and I’ll shop elsewhere. Glad they work for you though
I was never one of the cool kids who could comfortably afford to have a full A&F wardrobe, but I will say, the few pieces I did own back in the early 2000’s were some of the best quality garments I had in terms of texture, durability, and overall fit/comfort.
Thank you for this content! Any other brands that are attempting to capture this quasi-Aime Leon Dore wave? COS is really cool like you mentioned, but price-point is way different state-side I believe, especially because A&F runs lots of discount codes online
Thanks mate. I’ll do some videos about other brands. It’s hard to find decent stuff for an affordable price though. You normally have to pay a bit more to get anything worth buying
I have the same problem with the length of shirts from various brands. Do you have a solid recommendation where to find great fit t shirts or shirts? Thanks!
You gotta try the loose fit double knee jeans they have, I have the black pair in a 30 x 34 (Im 6'1) and they are my favorite pair of jeans ive ever bought
I'm also 6ft and 85kg - I order all size Medium from A&F and still agree with you. They're just always slightly too long in the body. That said, the quality feels really good for their linen short sleeve shirts and they've got huge discounts at the moment, so if you can get them for £31 rather than the £65 RRP, I think they're worth it. Could even get it tailored/shortened then and still be paying less than the RRP.
Great video mate, I think that everything you said is constructive criticism, they for sure have some hidden gems but i agree on what you said at the end. Hope you can do a Zara video in the future, more specifically of the Zara Origins collection. I have some very nice pieces and the quality is superior to the "Normal" Zara line. Have a lovely weekend!
Got a couple pieces from them and while they have some cool stuff, the quality is kinda iffy. Their pieces look good at first but start to lose their form after a couple wears/washes. Their chinos started to fade after less than a year and the oxford button down shrunk and the fabric started weirdly pilling. I do have a camp collar button down that's really soft and actually really nice and has held up. So maybe it just depends what you get from them.
Ya I bought a few hoodies, tees, and bottoms from them a while back. All worn a couple times and now in the back of the closet collecting dust. I consider them fast fashion and I've stopped buying all fast fashion for a while now. Had to get used to buying less stuff, but now I have a closet full of well made items that get worn more often
I loved the idea of linen shorts and the Abercrombie pair looked great. But they are 78% cotton and only 21% linen. It's definitely not worth what they are asking for a cotton pair of shorts.
@@HarryHas Willing to try it out in store! Kotn (A Canadian brand you recommended in another video, thanks!) has some 100% linen shorts that look very nice as well.
@@HarryHas do you know of anyone else doing that pleated look at a lower price? Specifically I was looking at the pleated hoodie from them because it looks so unique and fashionable but they are very expensive and I only saw that brand. Places like Amazon and shein sell them too but I want something that is actually quality
@@briancunningham_21 personally, I wouldn’t buy a knock off of these trousers. I doubt they will hold up well. I know Zara did some at one point but I would just buy a pair of regular black trousers with a similar fit from Cos or something
@@HarryHas ahh okay gotcha. Thanks for the tip, hopefully a reputable brand or a good deal on the real thing will come along soon. Love the videos man, keep it up.
Thanks for this video, Harry! I agree, the last t-shirt I bought from Abercrombie was great... except it was too long. Also, your hair's looking great, man!

I don’t follow a lot of female fashion influencers I’m afraid. To be honest, I don’t follow many fashion influencers in general. I watch a lot of non fashion related content on TH-cam
I agree, there's something off with the length on these but maybe the oversize fit is to accommodate a beer gut ;-) which would shorten it a bit?. had to laugh at the tablecloth comment LOL, lots of love from NZ
I’ve had the same problem with them. Got some knitted jumpers from them and they’re too long in the body. I think that’s their attempt of being ‘OvErsIzEd’
I have them already but I don’t like the fit on them! The colour is spot on so if I could have the colour of the weekday pair on the Abercrombie pair, I would be very happy.
Could you do a review of Banana Republic? I have been looking at some of their stuff but I am not sure wether it’s worth investing in their clothes as some items are a bit pricey.
I have a couple of things from them because they go on sale quite often. Their t-shirts are very soft and some of them do feel misshapen either very odd dimensions overall or just very long. That being said, I've had a couple of them shrink like crazy - one t-shirt I had lost 2 inches of length in the wash.
I just bought the Popover hoodie like 2 days before your video, I wanted an oversize fit so almost bought L (I wear M usually), but the model was 185cm (10 more than me) and it looked quite oversized on him already, I just went with M instead. Hopefully the fit is like I expected but yeah, their clothes are bigger than the usual
I ordered some stuff before the summer, returned like half. The quality was decent on most, something like linen shorts i really liked but it was also relatively expensive. AF is fine if you really like the piece but budget wise for value its pretty bad. They for sure have better fitting bottoms than tops.
Good info on the t-shirts - I have been literally contemplating making an order (which has to be $90+ for free shipping) and I thought about adding their essentials tee. I might still purchase it but it’s gonna have to be an undershirt if it’s that long.
Sir! I dont buy ANF no more and tha last time i bought from them was 7 years ago when they have on sale jacket denims , i have 2 boxes in the storage full of my vintage hoodies and a few tshirts .I love my vintage hoodies tees i wear them when i was young well some are a bit tight.
I’m 6’1 and can’t wear cropped shirts. My method for choosing lenghtwise: I put my arms up and my bellybutton should not be visible. Looks like these are the perfect length for me.
The renaissance of Abercrombie! Have worn their latest clothes for the past year and love them! Super simple and great for essentials
On a side note, the knitted polos I had to size wayyyy down to XS for a a decent fit, but I normally wear M in the shirts and a small in the hoodies. You’re right the sizing is all over the shop🤣

Great video Harry! I’m not sure I completely agree with you, but I’m glad to hear your opinion on Abercrombie. I’ll have to look out for some of those things next time I buy from them.
Thank you dude
Another great video, Harry! Really enjoying your channel!
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers from Brazil!
I think that polo looks really good on you when it's tucked in!
I love their black athletic slim stretch jeans and super soft muscle Ts. That's like 90% of my casual clothes. I just add some J.Crew chinos and button downs for a bit more dressy occasions.
Oh and Abercrombie's Fierce is my favorite fragrance. :D
Everything fits your perfect! I’m sure it’s not what your used to or like, but flowy is in and you look 10/10.
grew to really love your videos :) and love the new hair !
Great to hear bro. Thanks a lot
Nice video man! Very interesting to hear your perspective. I like Abercrombie a lot, and I got their popover hoodie and it’s probably my favorite hoodie ever. Love the oversized feel. And yeah I agree they did intend for it to be oversized. I love it tho!
I prefer my hoodie from Picante. It’s not as soft but it’s relaxed and not as long. It’s double the price though. Glad you liked the video mate
@@HarryHas nice. I’ll have to check that out!
i appreciate reviews like this. i recently have been noticing the resurgence in their popularity. but as someone with a short torso i may have to skip their tops. great work as always Harry!
Thanks a lot mate. Thanks for watching
I think that would be the best way to go. I really didn’t like the shape of the 30 on me. Hopefully they hold up well for you
Bro I've been watching you for a couple of years now, and your videos, especially the ones on sneakers, have really helped me step up my style.
Thanks mate. I recently grew it out again and loving the longer look. I’ll do a video on it
Try the longer button up shirts with shorts. Looks a lot better with the proportions
I really like your way of talking about sizes and how pieces are too long or too large, it's very interesting. Also very good to know that Abercrombie fits bigger than your real size
🙏🤟
I’d never shops there. Who cares about the hype. And you just proved that even with an amazing physique……you were have trouble pulling off these items. COS way more current. Great video. Love for you to try other brands. In a series. Todd Snyder, Ted baker, theory, more unknown brands 👍🏼👍🏼
Glad you liked the video bro. Thanks for watching. I do enjoy doing these types of videos so will definitely do more
Another great video and I agree the shorts were the best! In my opinion Abercrombie quality and options were much better years back but as time went by the quality decreased and I found less items I wanted to buy...after your video I will take another glance and see what I think as well. Cheers Harry!
Thanks for watching bro
im based in dubai and abercrombie and finch is not only crazy expensive for the basic collection but also available in two locations both a million miles away from where i live. i guess i need to save up
it's a shame their tops tend to have an oddly long fit. I have the hoodie you tried on though and when folded at the bottom fits me perfect. It's also my softest hoodie at the moment and I can't wait to come back to it after summer ends. Cheers for the video, now I'm interested in their linen shorts!
Yes, when folded it looks better but I don’t want to keep folding my hoodie. I want it to sit in place. It’s very soft though
It’s not “oddly long”. It’s the length the vast majority of guys like their shirts to be at
I agree with you Harry, none of the tops were ugly they just didn't look right on you. By the way, your hair length is perfect right now.
Thanks mate. I’m sticking with this length now for a while. It’s my favourite style so far
Harry, you mentioned in one of your videos that you have big thighs and a small waist which often is a big problem while selecting pants. I have the same problem, could you please tell me where to get the perfect fitting trousers (black particularly).
Video idea: Tops that have a bit of a crop. the opposite of abercrombie basically
Best t shirt? I need a good base which isn’t blocky and isn’t long. The sleeves should be above elbow
May I know what is the black trousers in the first outfits? It looks pretty nice!
Great video, Harry. I was wondering, which are the black pants you are wearing throughout the video?
Thank you. They are from Issey Miyake
They look cool but not really my style. Glad they work for you though bro
As 6ft and 210 pounds. I prefer longer shirts.
You guys know that they have the option for lenght regular and tall?
you looked great in the tucked polo look my guy!
I’ve heard Zara have upped their game. They still have a long way to go but I’ve not tried anything from them in years
Have a great weekend yourself
I know you have mentioned them before, but what are the pants at the beginning?
bro is on onto that real good stuff now 🔥
As a tall guy, your negatives would be positives for me, I think I might need to check them out, extra length sounds ideal!
Yes, they might be perfect for you mate
Got a couple pieces from them and while they have some cool stuff, the quality is kinda iffy. Their pieces look good at first but start to lose their form after a couple wears/washes. Their chinos started to fade after less than a year and the oxford button down shrunk and the fabric started weirdly pilling. I do have a camp collar button down that's really soft and actually really nice and has held up. So maybe it just depends what you get from them.
Yeah, it’s the same with a lot of these mid-more affordable brands. They are very hit or miss.
Very wise and I do the same
Love the video ❤️
Does someone know which trousers he is wearing while reviewing the tops?
Thank you. They are from Issey Miyake.
what brand do you recommend for shorter fits in length as you mentioned? Bcs this is the problem that I always encounter
I loved the idea of linen shorts and the Abercrombie pair looked great. But they are 78% cotton and only 21% linen. It's definitely not worth what they are asking for a cotton pair of shorts.
Yeah, I get what you mean. They are still great for the summer for me.
@@HarryHas Willing to try it out in store! Kotn (A Canadian brand you recommended in another video, thanks!) has some 100% linen shorts that look very nice as well.
What pants did you have at the beginning of the video when trying on shirts? I’m looking for something just like that!
They are from Issey Miyake. I love them but the exact model isn’t available at the moment sadly. I want another pair in a dark grey with the same fit
Thanks for watching mate. Maybe a size down would fix that but I generally don’t like sizing down as it’s smaller all over. Thank you very much. I really like the hair at the moment too
Great video, Harry - again. I'm curious: Who are your favorite female fashion influencers/bloggers/celebs?
I don’t follow a lot of female fashion influencers I’m afraid. To be honest, I don’t follow many fashion influencers in general. I watch a lot of non fashion related content on TH-cam
thanks for the honest review👍
🤟
How does the athletic strait compare to weekdays Barrel relaxed taper?
I must say, the knit tops shrink quite a bit. So after a wash, it won’t be nearly as long. Something to consider
I agree, there's something off with the length on these but maybe the oversize fit is to accommodate a beer gut ;-) which would shorten it a bit?. had to laugh at the tablecloth comment LOL, lots of love from NZ
Hahaha I better get drinking then. Thanks for watching
Hey, first of all I love your videos. I think the signet ring you're wearing in this video is really cool. Where do you have it from?
More than likely from Serge Denimes. Thanks
I’ve had the same problem with them. Got some knitted jumpers from them and they’re too long in the body. I think that’s their attempt of being ‘OvErsIzEd’
Maybe you are right. It’s frustrating as you end up sending a lot back
I got the essential tee, the neck was so long it looked like turtle neck, instantly returned 😂, I do like the linen camp collar shirt I got tho!
Should try the Olsen linen shorts from Weekday Harry the black color is class on them and fit etc is everything you’d enjoy too
I have them already but I don’t like the fit on them! The colour is spot on so if I could have the colour of the weekday pair on the Abercrombie pair, I would be very happy.
@@HarryHas fairs I acc like the fit on them ngl and bare comfy
What brand of black pants are you wearing in this video? They are awesome!
They are from Issey Miyake
@@HarryHas Thank you, Harry ))
The hoodies are legit the softest. I love them.
They are very soft
Could you do a review of Banana Republic? I have been looking at some of their stuff but I am not sure wether it’s worth investing in their clothes as some items are a bit pricey.
I would probably say it’s probably ok for the odd piece but I wouldn’t invest in their pieces
Fire video per usual mate 🔥
Thank you very much bro
bro's looking stacked! workout vids anytime soon?
I have a couple of things from them because they go on sale quite often. Their t-shirts are very soft and some of them do feel misshapen either very odd dimensions overall or just very long. That being said, I've had a couple of them shrink like crazy - one t-shirt I had lost 2 inches of length in the wash.
I would welcome some shrinkage on the length on their tops 😂
@@HarryHas Same!
Did you get the regular or long length in their shirts?
I went on the Abercrombie site to look for clothing more your style but could not find scruffy anywhere.
You can always exchange it if not but you should be good if you like an oversized fit bro
@@HarryHas Good to know, thanks man!
I ordered some stuff before the summer, returned like half. The quality was decent on most, something like linen shorts i really liked but it was also relatively expensive. AF is fine if you really like the piece but budget wise for value its pretty bad. They for sure have better fitting bottoms than tops.
I have a suede bomber from them and its really nice. It's a little too long but it's nothing bad.
Good info on the t-shirts - I have been literally contemplating making an order (which has to be $90+ for free shipping) and I thought about adding their essentials tee. I might still purchase it but it’s gonna have to be an undershirt if it’s that long.
It feels like it could shrink in the wash so you might be ok. You can always cut it too or tick it I suppose
Sir! I dont buy ANF no more and tha last time i bought from them was 7 years ago when they have on sale jacket denims , i have 2 boxes in the storage full of my vintage hoodies and a few tshirts .I love my vintage hoodies tees i wear them when i was young well some are a bit tight.
premium one is fear of god essentials dupe and I like the loose/boxy nature of knitted jacquard polo. its perfect. very ald. take more risks.
where are his black pants from?
I’m 6’1 and can’t wear cropped shirts. My method for choosing lenghtwise: I put my arms up and my bellybutton should not be visible. Looks like these are the perfect length for me.
Sounds good man. The old school way. I my belly doesn’t come out still on my shorter tops though.
