That’s awesome! Happy to have you as a subscriber! I’m familiar with Arkadia but I kinda forgot about it! Castles of Burgundy is so good. It’s my wife’s #1 of all time. I haven’t mapped out my top 50 yet, but COB is easily in my top 25, probably even top 20.
I really like how you lay out these videos -- straight to the point, but you still cover a lot of important information in a short time. All these games look really cool and I definitely missed all of them!! I especially want to try Greedy Kingdoms now and my wife said she wants to get Rumpelstiltskin.

@@undiscovered_games here some older games I think work well with 2p ( you may already know, but here I go): Las Vegas (actually prefer it with 2p), Parade, Viceroy, Alhambra (I do like the revised edition, but the game play is the same), Finca ( we play until 5 not 4 farms are built) and Carcassonne. Btw, Trambahn is a good 2p only game. Also, Claim. Anyway , enough out of me :)

I do have and enjoy many of those games you mentioned. But I've never tried Las Vegas with 2p; that is intriguing me...need to try that! Of the games you mentioned, I have never played Trambahn, Parade, or Viceroy. I remember seeing Viceroy at a game store way back when it came out. Totally forgot about it until you brought it up! Thanks for the recommendations! I love me some Finca, although we don't usually play with 2p. I like the suggestion of playing until 5 farms are built. Excellent comment!!
Great video! I’ve only heard of Morels out of all of these! I think thats because its the most popular mushroom themed game and thats such a cool theme considering how often flowers, plants, animals, etc are use but rarely mushrooms. Though I heard rumbling of the designer of Wingspan working on a mushroom game. I dont tend to play a lot of 2P only games, even though 2 player is my most common player count, it seems we vastly prefer games that work well at 2. Some 2 player only game I like are Hanamikoji(super good I cut you choose mechanic, the levels of decisions in a game with a 20 card deck and a lighter rule set is actually crazy, so many agonizing decisions in this one, highly recommend), santorini, klask, and radlands.

Many of my favorite 2-player only games are hex-and-counter wargames or CCG, which tend to be interesting mostly to a more specialized audience. Leaving those aside (mostly), I'd mention * Starship Catan: a Kosmos game that has only a vague resemblance to Settlers. Exploration, pirates, settling planets. It's a perennial favorite for me. * Lost Cities: another Kosmos 2-player game. This one is pretty well known, but quite strong. * Cribbage: perhaps the best 2-player card game with a standard deck of cards. (And it even has a board. 8-) ) * Commands & Colors: pretty much any of the Richard Borg card-driven games, starting with Battle Cry, and including Memoir '44, Red Alert, and all the Commands & Colors games. Fast playing, easy to teach, and generally tightly balanced.

Great channel focus! Just stumbled across it, and should be right up my alley. What's interesting about the King & Assassins-designer is that it's the same guy designing the upcoming mega-crowdfunding game The Witcher, so that adds some promise there. I've got K&A and it's really a nice little game that should be easy enough to table for just about anyone. Morels has been on my wishlist for quite a while, and is one I'm likely to pick up with my next retail purchases as I just checked and they'd finally got in a version. Babel I haven't played in many, many years, and wasn't as keen on the cutthroat back then. Like to give it another spin soon. Nice list!

Greedy Kingdoms was actually the VERY first game I ever featured on my Instagram page, and it’s kind of what motivated me to start this whole journey of finding lesser-known games. So I highly recommend it! I’d say Greedy Kingdoms and King and Assassins are the 2 in this list I would recommend the most to board gamers because they’re a little more complex than the others. I have never heard of Getaway Driver, but just based on the title, it sounds like something I would like!! I will add it to my list to research. Thanks!!

Interesting... I actually knew a guy named Uwe and he pronounced it the way I did in the video. Must be an Americanized way of saying it. Ooh-vuh is probably the proper German pronunciation.

Here's an oldie but goodie you may want to feature. It not strictly 2p, but does work well with two. Gambit Royale.

Battle Line and Jaipur! I have those and played. Try to play as well 13 Days or the small game 13 Minutes.
