Quick Offroad trip out to Sand Hollow Utah in my Overland Toyota Tundra. These trails are no joke! My Tundra couldn't handle most of them. Was able to Jump into a couple of the Rockstar Garage Super Jeeps and try out some extreme rock climbing... it was quite an adventure.
A big Thank You to The RockstarGarage for letting me tag along and for being so hospitable. It was a great experience and I feel like a learned a whole lot.

Great video! I have rock crawler friends who are incredibly calm during what I think is a disaster, they just laugh it off and move on to the next step. A great attitude, something I need to embrace more.
They sure spend an arm and a leg for repairs.
I learned a lot about Off Road Recovery and how to be a better spotter on this trip - It's a good Idea to think about how to get practice at these things before you all-of-a -sudden need to be a pro.
What's the difference between "offroading" and "overlanding?"

Yeah man, there's a huge difference between rock crawling and going camping on some rough dirt roads....These guys go where there isn't roads! Most overland set up rigs, people are afraid to dent up too.... Great vid!

Dude - great video and really positive comparison between the two types of wheeling. I like “rocklanding” which is a mix of both. Not quite all the cool stuff of overlanding (for weight savings) and some rock crawling capability for medium obstacles. Looks like it was a great time!!

17:32 Spear Point Pocket Knife. I came across your videos a couple of weeks ago and definitely enjoy them. I put a little damage on my truck earlier this summer and put some "Colorado pin stripes" down the side on a few trails and my wife has to keep reminding me that I didn't buy my truck to stick to the paved roads and on occasion damage is going to happen, but it still hurts every time something happens. My jeep friends definitely think like a lot of rock crawlers in your video, if they break something they will fix it. No bid deal.

Yeah, I have already damaged my truck once or twice doing trails and I have paid for it in stress and $$$$. These guys rule, but not my thing.

It was pretty fun... If you have a Rock Crawling area I bet it would be easy to get ride alongs if you just go to the hardest obstacle and start helping ppl do recoveries 😂

Im about 5 hours to SLC and then another 2.5 - 3 to Moab. Zion was a solid 9.5.
What size lifts and tires were on the Gladiators that actually made it all the way through?? Gladiators have wheelbases longer than Suburbans, except they have six cylinders instead of LS V8s.
The main one that made it actually had 40’s
Nathan Mueller Sounds about right. It’s ok to have a long wheelbase as long as your tires are big enough to give you the ground clearance. That Gladiator probably had a power adder, supercharger or turbos no? Was it a six banger still or LS swapped?

Agreed - I kinda like not working on my truck EVERY week... but it is an interesting world to learn recoveries really quick... also got a lot better at being a spotter rapidly.

Well... I dont fault them... but if Toyotas are upside down for a while the oil goes where it isn't supposed to go and that can cause loud noises.
