This is such a useful tutorial! I used thin yarn in a baby pink colour so I had to change up the stichtes a bit to get the Dino bigger but still worked out amazing! So happy and giving away to my bff for her b day
I've been crocheting on and off for 4 months and yesterday I just learned what an inc and a dec is my first one I made was an octopus! My nephew's birthday is coming up and I'll make this for him! :)
Omg perfect timing, I've been waiting for this video from tiktok and I just checked to see if you posted and I saw "31 seconds ago" 😅 adorable dino 🦕 thank you for this tutorial
The feet and tail turned out just fine but when I went to do the body I tried four different times using stitch markers and counting but the legs would never line up properly. I would also appreciate it if you went a little bit slower and didn't skip through so much. As a beginner this was very hard to follow. I mean no negative. Just as a fellow youtuber I appreciate feedback on things I can do better.
This is hard to follow, you haven't outlined rows, I've had to try the body and leg attachment 3 times and the legs are in completely different areas not matching with the others, please can you redo this tutorial 😊
I’m sorry to hear that. This is my second TH-cam video so I was planning on remaking it at some point. If you’re struggling with the video I’ve left the written pattern in the comments if it’s easier to read that
I bet you have a wrong stitch count at the beginning of the body. I had that too. With plush yarn it’s really hard to see the stitches so I strongly recommend both stichmarkers and constant counting! The first rows are crucial.
I am an experienced crocheter and this video was super difficult to follow. I don't know why you were rushing and going so fast. You never said what row you were on and since you didn't always use a stitch marker you couldn't tell when the row would start and finish making it difficult to follow the written instructions. The constant skipping and jumping around in the video made it even more difficult to follow. As an experienced crocheter this was NOT beginner friendly at all. It was just to rushed and not enough detail.
I started having trouble around rows 10 and 11 of the body. I counted my stitches on the 10th row and had an extra stitch, so I went back to the tail and it looked like I had to skip over a stitch. Then on row 11 when I tried to do 2 dec, 11 sc, and 2 dec, it wasn't even. The second 2 dec were completely off the tail and I only had 17 sc afterwards. I corrected it by doing this instead to end up with the correct amount of stitches: 25 sc, dec, 11 sc, dec, 20 sc. Could you check row 11 please and let me know if you think I did something wrong? This is also my second crochet project, so I am an amateur!
The way you did it was right! I made a mistake in the video and said the wrong number, but the correct number is in the pattern in the description. I will be remaking the video soon to rectify it 😅
On round 10 of the body it says 20sc at the end but I've done it 3 times now and there's 23 at the end every time? I'm starting the round with 64 stitches.. if I do the 23sc at the end I end on 62 so maybe it's a mistake?
Yes sorry about that I just recounted and it’s supposed to say 15 in the middle instead of 13, that’s should bring you back to the start so for that round do 25sc, dec, 15sc, dec, 20sc
Your pattern doesn't work out, I count as you direct and the position of the feet are wrong, and as you pause in between I can't check where we differ.
I have a question every time when i do the 10th row i have two extra stitches and i keep continuing the 9th row it is 64 but the 10th is 60 if i follow the written pattern. Can i have some help what I’m doing wrong? 😢
@@michellezhu9689 I’m so sorry that’s so weird, I’ve been meaning to upload my patterns onto ravelry so I’ll try and do that today and I’ll put the link to it here, maybe that’ll be easier

All I can say is thank you for a brilliant tutorial which was clearly explained and produced a great dinosaur. 🙏

I agree, the jump cuts don't help either

@@myth0logicthere is no comment with the written pattern🥺
I did fine following along with the video and pattern I've made 2 now and they're cute as can be❤ @myth0logic
I had such a good time making this its adorable but the pattern is sooooo confusing and the stitch counts didn't match up a couple times
I loved this pattern it makes him chubby with short legs. Also hello fellow crocheter, i am also attempting to become a crochet influencer
This is a really good tutorial, thank you so much 🫶🦕
could you let us know how much yarn is needed for the project? :)

Hello the attachements to the legs are very confusing can you make it more clear?
You have to make the first ”push through” with the hook from the inside of the cup-like leg. Then they will sit correctly.
Thank you ❤ just made one using your tutorial

Sorry for the late reply! Thanks so much!!

@Myth0logic aaww OK.. does it make much difference if I did the 13 at the tail and 23 at the end? Cos I'm way past now and I don't want to frog it 🤣
How do you do 2 decreases I only saw how to do one
Row 13 on the body isn’t adding up to the number of stitches I ended with on row 12. Row 13 isn’t adding up. Help?
I don't understand... what to do in row 13 (in the body)? It's not clear in the description...
Your pattern doesn't work out, I count as you direct and the position of the feet are wrong, and as you pause in between I can't check where we differ.
I just finished the tail but mine dosn't look like yours its short and fat not skinny and long like yours what did i do wrong
I have a question every time when i do the 10th row i have two extra stitches and i keep continuing the 9th row it is 64 but the 10th is 60 if i follow the written pattern.
Can i have some help what I’m doing wrong? 😢
I did too ! They explained in another comment that is was indeed 15sc at the tail and not 13 :) Then the count should be correct !
Round 8 on the body are 54 too not 66
I dont see where you have left the written instructions in the commemts
It’s there for me? Maybe refresh the page because when I checked the comments on my other account it was there, idk why it’s not showing up for you
@@myth0logicI don’t see it either 🥲
