It's so unfortunate that we've had to fix these figures after getting them out of the package. RR and Tracks look great on the shelf but man did Hasbro fumble the ball with this mold.

Totally agree. I also wish Road Rage was molded in some places differently than Tracks besides her head. It would have set her apart.
@@RodimusPrimal I heard and I maybe wrong but they did have a slightly alternate mold for her in the prototype stages but scrapped it later on during production. Again I heard this so I will not confirm it to be actual truth.
Even though the mould isn’t prefect it is still great to see Tracks after over a decade getting a new toy.
Not only that but when patriot prime got his tracks figure it was missing 1 of it wheels.. How nobody in the qc ao packaging depts at the factory noticed it was missing a wheel is just unbelievable.
@@RodimusPrimal when you get your tracks the FIRST thing you need to do when you get it out of the box is check to make sure it has all its wheels.

For the part at 10:58, I recommend angling the legs to get them to tab into the hood and then tab the legs together.
I personally preferred it when characters with like molds have little sculpt distinctions beyond just color palettes.
Also, that leg bit was brutal. A like for your troubles.
Tracks is one of my favorite characters as a child fan and was excited to finally own the toy. And I struggle with the transformation as well as you do. So sadly I have to choose which form to display it and leave it that way for long periods because I'm afraid I'll break it or make it too loose by forcing it in there.
Just got Road Rage just a few weeks ago. Now my R.I.D. Sideburn has someone to hit on.

I managed to get SS86 Jazz instead of Tracks. Oh well can't get everybody. Also thanks for the alert regarding the leg. I may not even try for Tracks now.
JRC Designs created leg panel locks for Tracks/Road Rage that greatly improve the figures.
I gotten tracks and I had the same issue with the transformation and I was wondering if anyone else had the same issue problem as well but overall it looks good in my collection and I am looking forward to get Roadrage as well and I really enjoyed your videos and reviews and keep up the great work and you have a wonderful and blessed day Rodimus Prime

I just got tracks, the transformation is not easy but I love him anyway, one of my favorite characters. Great review, loved that 500% speed.

Honestly speaking, Tracks is an okay figure despite his flaws. Road rage looks cool as well, I might consider getting her.
I bought this figure, knowing full well about the problems with the legs. I wanted a Road Rage in my collection, but didn't want to pay the Masterpiece prices.
As a bot, she looks great. As a car she also looks great. Even in her flying car mode, she looks fantastic. But this is an example of a figure that looks good posed on your shelf. Built for display, rather than actual play.
Not long after I bought Road Rage, I was lucky enough to find a Masterpiece Tracks on Ebay for a very good price. While transforming MP Tracks, I noticed the engineering, and I could see where the designers of the Kingdom Tracks/Road Rage mold got their inspiration.
Now that we have Road Rage, can Hasbro give us a new Generations version of Nautica? Gotta keep things matching with the comics.
I desperately want Road Rage! I have Tracks so I want to have Road Rage also!
BTW I managed to grab two SS86 Sweeps last weekend from wally world, lucky me!
My Tracks thankfully has alright leg joints. I might even say they're a little tight. I guess I got lucky on that one.
Love the look of Tracks But HATE that I has to fix his legs...now I'm not going to get 2 of the Road Rage but I did get 2 of Tracks because I hate the transformation so much that 1 is staying in alt mode & the other in robot mode...
Thanks for the honest review man. Tracks and Road Rage are such a disappointment for me. I've been eagerly awaiting these two since announcement, and Hasbro choked on this one. No excuse for poor QC.

Totally agree. The transformation is not fun as a result. I will say once you fix the legs, it's not completely terrible, but still.
Yeah, I did see Larkin's fix, and I'm glad he put the vid out for us. The fan community having to clean up more and more for Hasbro's QC fails is frustrating at the very least.
From the waist up, the figures are super cool, and the fins in flight mode are a neat touch. But as a MAJOR corvette and Transformer fan, I'm unreasonably salty about these two figures.

I actually like tracks and road rage but the pain of trying to transform it and pegging that windshield to the hood.. it's scary. I even tried shaving some of the tabs down slightly.
I never noticed it translating to the leg but I am having a problem with the same fender on my tracks
I've got Tracks and I love him, I think I rather get him an upgrade kit for him than pressing that pin. I have been looking for Road Rage, she have been a little hard to get for me.

I have tracks (Kingdom). He's half decent I think. Haven't really noticed too much of a leg issue on him.
It’s really only his legs and backpack which are the real problems, everything else is basically minor. Overall I would encourage anyone who wants either Tracks or Road rage, just keep in mind for what your in for.
I haven't seen Tracks or Roadrage. And I'm amazed that Hasbro brought Roadrage instead of just calling it Shattered Glass Tracks (since the red Corvette from Diaclone initially became SG Tracks back when the RtS "Turbo Tracks"/Generations Wheeljack mold was a thing)... especially since Hasbro didn't mold the more feminine looking biceps, hips, & thighs for her the way Takara did in goin' from MP25 Tracks to MP26 Roadrage.
Also amazed that neither Hasbro nor Takara dropped the bombshell that is Loudpedal (a Decepticon, a black Corvette that's another Diaclone repaint, MP25L basically had the head of the G1 Tracks mold). Heh heh heh heh heh...DI-A...KUROOOOOON!!
Always generations selects for a loudpedal.

I've been seeing tracks lately but I've heard he has some leg issues and clear plastic makes it worse
If you like the character, I say go for it. However, the REAL problem is the legs. I mention the fix, and I show how it works with the end result at the end of the video. Check out Larkin's on camera fix too!

I have both versions, but it's very disappointing these figures weren't given proper QC treatment.
Seems like for Kingdom, QC (and sensible design) went out the window in favor of just gettin' the molds into production and ending the line ASAP. I got T-Wrecks, and maaan...the Kingdom BW Megatron mold is an even hotter mess for transformation & alt mode than MP43!!
@@DragoonMS I had issues with my first Kingdom BW Megatron where the back kibble that forms the beast mode hips were off the pin. Since it's a pin you can't put it back in. I didn't have the issue with my second copy or my copy of T-Wrecks...but I also had an issue with Selects Deep Cover and I felt like Hasbro was pointing their finger at me and being very evasive. This is why when Legacy comes out I'm only going to continue buying what I have missing from G1 and BW but the other lines I will pass on.
@@superroboted My T-Wrecks had a few instances of warped plastic everywhere. The tail is the worst offender, one corner of the joint panel on both sides is bent horribly, one of the panels can't even close properly, and much like Masterpiece BW Megs, the two panels that form the dino belly don't like to close properly. The other panels don't like to line up right, either, another element of bad design lifted from MP43. And who thought the soft plastic was a good idea to begin with!? They didn't do anything so hair-brained with any of the others...and I don't think that they did it with Dinobot or BW Grimlock, either.
@@DragoonMS I can confirm both BW Grimlock and Dinobot use the regular plastics. It's weird with BW Megs/T-Wrecks they went that route. I will admit they are hefty figures. And then there is Kingdom Waspinator which no QC issues but uses a weird grade of plastic. It feels cheap
@@superroboted Feels cheap? No surprise there. That Core class Rattrap feels pretty cheap everywhere except the joints...or at least, that's how my copy feels. But the two that you would think feel cheap but don't feel cheap - Cheetor & Blackarachnia - they both have a design flaw that has an easily busted tab somewhere on them: Cheetor's behind the cheetah head, Blackarachnia's behind her boobs.
i have Tracks i love the character himself but the design sucks. JRC Design has a 3d printed pieces to put in his legs that fixes the issue with those panels on the legs and fills in the gaps on the tops of the calves and a piece that pulls the front of the car together when in vehicle mode. good review.

That is why I recommend the fix.
With the whole faux chest they could've easily made a more feminine body for her, but other than the comics she has always just been a strate repaint of Tracks with a new head.
The closest thing I have to any Tracks figure is my generations Wheeljack.
Masterpiece Road Rage has remolded legs and arms that match the character. I wish they went with that route for her.
I guess it’s a good thing I had no interested in buying this.

Dude as a Californian I'm not sure about the tracks delay. I got a friend who's mom works at the harbor (I think; she's not really friendly to me) hope you get tracks cuz I'm not interested in tracks and roadrage really

Considering that the entire torso is a false part it would've been really easy to get a more feminent look.
