The infectious voice & vocals of Dave Rolfe and his creative music elevated all the songs from *Johto league champions to Advanced Battle!* To another level. That's why I can't forget it after 18-19 years.
@@AndrewMoats and that's likely the version Rolfe turned in for the opening of Master Quest & Heroes; but then the official full threw in Pokemon noise which kinda ruins it a bit bc it's drowning out the riffs
man watching this after like 15 years is crazy, I still know the song word for word despite not hearing it in so long, Shows you how much I had this movie on repeat as a kid. One of my favorites for sure. And if I ever have kids (god I hope I don't) I will make damn sure they watch this movie.
everytime i watch this sequence of the movie with ‘believe in me’ playing i cry without fail, pokémon has been such a huge part of my life for so long and something about the adventurous and carefree nature of this particular segment of the movie makes it easily one of my favourites out of all of the pokémon movies
Ikr I used to watch them so much as a kid (the og series + the 'old' movies). The vibes and looks have changed a lot since then. I don't know if it's just the editing but the colours are a lot darker and less vibrant. It def feels more mature.
@@CynSw Thats because this is all hand drawn animation, You don't get that kind of authenticity when you do it in flash or 3D. Older anime tended to have a grittier less saturated look to them wich I just adore.

@@LordCaedus-bl7wi Very good question. I believe I got into the anime when I was 5, the earliest I remember watching is Johto League Champions, mainly grew up with the Advanced Generation through Black and White. I have seen all of Indigo League and Sun & Moon, currently going through Advanced Generation. Not sure if I've seen all of the rest, but strong chance I've seen the entirety of XY and Orange Islands.

Man these were the days . Pokémon was my childhood. Miss the original voice actors 😢
I can't believe this is the cleanest version of the song I could find and it has so little views
I just combined the beginning of the instrumental available on TH-cam with the song. I get your point, though 🙂

It's a shame Nintendo/Pokemon company don't give this theme they same love they give to the others. This is like one of the few NOT on Spotify.
I have significant nostalgia about this intro sequence and the song, I enjoyed this

Such a godly song to open up an incredible movie

Even after so many years this song is still absolutely legendary 😎
Honestly the all pokemon movies deserves live action shot for shot movies ❤
Perfect song, perfect guitar, but the final 2:39 destroys me
0:33 now, this is poke 🏄🏻♂️
Man, I forgot how good the movies looked

@@LordCaedus-bl7wi Not sad at all! I'm 20 and still love it loads! Pokémon is just something that sticks with a lot of people for a very long time! :)
Andrew Moats so what did you grow up with as in which series and gave you watched all the series? Also did you get into the games first or anime?
