If I only shared the races where everything went well I would have very few videos :) I think it's also good to show others that we all make mistakes, and hopefully it will encourage people to keep trying rather than give up.
So I did three races yesterday at Narvarra and lost over 120 iRacing points with people running into me!! So hard to gain iRacing points Up & down like a Yo-Yo 😅 All in All you did a good race Yes be careful on the first lap at least in the Miata for the tires to warm up
@pitbitsdave Ha! I lost another 44 iRacing in the M2 not again!! At least I practice for a week!! You have to be so smooooth with the M2 Did I tell you I'm restoring a 1973 2002tii BMW??
Ah - the blue flag hell - I know it well. And that accident was not your fault. You kept left and where very predictable. For some bizzare reason he moved left into you - that was all on him
I totally agree with you on the accident. He had all the opportunity to pass at the inside and already should have been there to make his intentions clear. As David did by staying left.
I wonder if his car broke left when he hit the brakes, i'm sure he wasn't trying to hit me. I could have slowed on the straight or left it to the next straight I guess
IMHO, never brake to let someone by. Lift, sure, but don't brake. Nobody expects you to be braking there. That being said, I have no idea how he managed to hit you there.
I dont know if youve discussed it in other videos, but i would be interested to know what equipment you use. Which wheel and pc spec etc. also are you exclusively an iracer or do you play other titels as well? Assetto Corsa Evo only 3 days away now !! 🎉
Hi Andy, I will be working on a rig tour this weekend to show all the equipment i use, so expect that in a week or so. I started off racing ACC on xBox, then on PC and then moved onto iRacing. I have tried Rennsport, and occasionally go back to ACC but most of the time i'm on iRacing now. I may get AC Evo when it comes out to see what it's like, but i find iRacing's on-line offer so good it's hard to see how it would be better. I tried LFM which wasn't too bad, but again, just not as good as iRacing
@pitbitsdave Yeah I agree. Iracing takes some beating. Unrivalled race availability. All day and night there are races to join. It's great! I do love ACC. I play with my brother who is only on ps5 currently while he waits for his pc build. It's the only option for decent online racing on console but the numbers are so low in the lobbies with SA rating requirements that I often end up racing with drivers that are so much better than me or in unranked races with people who are learning and those races are usually absolute chaos 😆 Looking forward to the tour! I really enjoy your videos. They've become my go to content for when I'm washing up (which is often in this house 😆) cheers 👍🏽
@Pitbits ok this is a 26 min video.... "what would you do in this situation" ? what situation do you even mean? do you really expect us to watch 26min video and then guess whatever situation you mean? ridiculous.
I try to come up with video titles that give a sense of what might be happening in the race and give the potential viewer a reason to click on the video. On this occasion, you had to wait until quite late in the race to understand what the title was referring to (being hit by a lapped car) in some other videos it's more apparent early on. I'm not an expert when it comes to youtube so all feedback is welcome on how I can do it better. I also have make my own creative decisions on things like this, even if it does risk turning a few viewers off my content. What may be ridiculous to you may be intriguing to others, and that's the audience i'm targeting. I would love you to stick around and watch some of my other races, I do try to make them entertaining and informative as much as I can.
Sometimes the point takes time to reveal itself. I'm not a fan of starting videos with a key bit of the action just to hook people in. I know TV shows and some other youtubers do that, but I think it's dumbing down the audience. After a 2 min break in some TV shows they feel the need to tell you everything that has already happened like we wont remember...... So, I appreciate your feedback, but for now I'm going to leave things as they are.
😆 get to the point at the beginning? It's a race. Books aren't published with the last 10 pages at the beginning so the reader doesn't have the inconvenience of seeing the story unfold over the duration of the book. 😅

I had issues at Narvarra yesterday, tried the M2 and found it nearly undrivable.......I really dont like that car or that track

I like Limerock Olton Park, Summit point and VIR North course to work on my safety and iRacing points Everything else is a crap shoot
Some of the longer races are good if you can get through the first few laps once all the crashes have happened
1973, wow that's 50 yrs old, lots of rusted bolts I bet. My 20yr old car is bad enough for that sort of thing.
