It had its issues, but overall it was one of the best games I’d played in literal years! Not having my hand held meant I was either dying or starving a handful of times, early on.. later on I’d mastered combat, slaughtered the tourney a bunch of times etc.
I intend to pick it up and play it through again.

Fun fact, for the encampment escape and night raid missions you can just stick around and murder everyone instead of leaving immediately.
I remember loving this game, it was the sort of game that doesn't help nearly as much as other games in the same genre..
And that made it brilliant. I wasn't aimlessly slaughtering people with the same attack animation (skyrim).
Everything in this game, had to be planned out before hand, if you set out on a journey and forgot items like food, some schnapps and a repair kit or 2.. you'd end up disadvantaged.
Every skill has its own personal slot that needs to be worked at in order to improve.. 1 point in sword fighting? You'll get murdered by a common bandit.
It just worked, it wasn't flashy or trying to be something that it wasn't.
I'm just playing it for a few weeks now and finally getting the hang of it it's easily the hardest game I played in years it made me think about everything like you said. You gotta plan everything out and always be prepared.

The most hilarious thing about the game is the fact Henry's voice actor constantly gets people calling 'look everyone, Henry's come to see us!' at him.
5:23 This is SO characteristic of this game. On the one hand it can be a really great gaming experience, but on the other hand it's almost impossible to walk 100 meters without encountering another bug... let alone complete missions without bugs making them impossible. What a masterpiece this could have been if Warhorse hadn't given up halfway.
Skyrim had more bugs, and that was from a AAA studio. I’ve put almost 400 hours into it, and hardly notice any bugs. I really don’t. I don’t understand what makes you say that warhorse gave up halfway through. This game was made with a ton of love and care
Much smaller studio with a much smaller budget. They'd still be working on the game instead of the sequel if they went chasing zero bugs
@@jimbeaux89 well, i am on my fifth play-through and if you dont do some quests in a certain way, they just get bugged (playing on PC). also game does crash at least once every 2 or 3 hours. It's annoying but not really a game breaker either. Once familiar with the bugs, one can plan the in-game experience accordingly. When i first started a game of skyrim, expecting it to be as nice as Oblivion, the very intro was bugged af already. With guards armours and graphic details not loading, dialogue interruptions or game simply froze - that was game breaking tbh :) I never played skyrim any further than to the point were the dragon attacks at the very beginning of the game. It was just impossible...
