Ah, Kingdom of Cum, the game where I spent hours --killing and stealing-- grinding to get amazing gear just to then get bent over a barrel by the first knight I autistically ran at because I forgot to actually train with my gear. Fun times.
Playing it with a friend that loves medieval history, especially east european, we're having a blast! The game with original dubbing in Czech is so immersive, and even accounting bugs and shortcomings, this is the most effort and result i ever saw a game achieve while being financed by their government. I'm so stoked for the second chapter, i want to let Henry have it's revenge!
Man the executioner had a really cool quest that you could do later in the game but will never experience because you decided to crush his skull while breaking into his house lol
You can use your 3 speech, which you probably don't have, to lure the executioner out of his house. You can still get the speech by talking to people, by learning to read and level up through reading a book on speech, and doing other quests. And by getting caught and fighting with the executioner, you won't be able to do quests for him.
Anyone thinking of playing this game after watching Kev here are some spoiler free hints. ‘Luck of the drunk’ is a perk that makes lockpicking easy, which is quite a feat because it’s unwieldy otherwise. Plate armour is a game changer because you basically don’t take damage as long as you have stamina left, armour and clothing contributes to a noise statistic which will ruin stealth. Train with Bernard AS SOON as it’s available. During speech checks you’ll see an option with a heart in a crown symbol, this is social status and is easily manipulated with charisma gained from clean, nice clothing and a well washed Henry. Most importantly master strike your way to victory, peasant.
This game wasn't at all what I expected and I love it. It's harder to get into than skyrim but well worth it. The combat and skill system is especially good, you can really feel Henry getting better at whatever he does. A good example is that Henry can't read at the beginning, so any text you read is going to be jumbled up but once Henry starts learning how to read from a scribe, texts become less jumbled. Combat too; the weekly tournament is impossible to win at the beginning but as you raise your skills, it gets a lot easier.
still remember playing with you sometimes in eso kev, nice to see you at almost 1.2 million subs wow wow wow, great content and a nice guy love to see it.
I played over 100 hours of this game back in 2018. Recently picked it up again but got the royal edition and played another 120 hours. It’s a great game and it’s insanely immersive. I was pretty much addicted to a game for the first time In years. Really hope a sequel is announced
This game is severely underrated. Most players gave up too early and easily because they weren't super over powered by the first 10 minutes of the game. This game is realistic in the combat difficulty, you are a peasant with no formal combat training. Of course you are gonna get fucked up by bandits and trained soldiers. But over time, with training and practice, you can really notice the difference when you go from having to run away from a single bandit, to being able to clear out a camp of 5 - 6 bandits or Cuman soldiers by yourself.
*First 10 minutes? You're not even surviving basic combat encounters **_10 hours in._* Except for the bandits loitering around Skalitz, lmao. I appreciate the realism and the dedication to the grind, tho. So I'm tryna stick with it, but I honestly can't blame anyone who couldn't handle the whiplash. *It took me **_FIVE tries_** just to beat Kunesh on Hard.* That realization of *_"Oh shit. I'm not "The Chosen One"._* *_I'M JUST SOME SCRUB!"_* can be quite the kick in the nads for folk.
Making you work for it was a major strength of the game. And even when you get good at the combat, there still remains risk. Even when I could take out whole Cuman camps with ease, I still had to flee certain fights due to overconfidence/ carelessness or just getting surrounded. While I could still dominate most encounters, it felt earned.
@@Jamushu A huge tip for this is just like a real soldier, train. Once Captain Bernard gives you your initial training to work with the Bailiff, you get the option to go train with him any time during the day you want. You can pay him to just immediately increase your skills, or you can spar with him to level your skills naturally. If you spend even just a day or two (in-game) sparing with him, he'll quickly get you up to snuff with the basics of what you need to survive in actual combat with low skilled opponents. Then you can do bandit hunting missions for him to get even more experience, as well as money to buy gear with and train even more. I believe this was the intended way the developers wanted you to do it, but left you to discover for yourself that maybe you should spend some time practicing before trying it for real.
@@austinseven4720 The game definitely never loses that necessity for strategy with each encounter. Even late game when you're really powerful, some camps are still really difficult to clear without employing a dagger, poison, a bow, or even all three.
Don't ever change @Kevduit lol I don't get to tune into the streams alot, but your videos never let me down. When you were picking the lock on that chest and heard that creak in the floor 😂 that was gold
I'll never forget my one attempted playthrough. A cowardly knight wanted to fight me so I choked him out then took his armour. Three hours later I was in a town looking for the food merchant and a guard stops me for no reason, accuses me of theft then takes away the armour and everything I bought since then.
This game is so freaking good. Once you get the combat down it’s actually very rewarding and feels great to take down a fully armored knight to take his gear.
The combat is the one thing I don't like as much as other things I still like it because if you don't have Master striking your combos gets parried by anybody
I wish i could just deleted all my KCD knowledge and play it again for the first time.. after like 10 playthroughs and completing achievements like "Tis but a scratch" the game just isnt the same anymore. Kev by the end of the game: "I've become a Holy Roman emperor just so I can steal from the Imperial Treasury!"
Tip: Pick flowers to gain enough strength to defeat Kunesh.
I used to steal a bow and murderize the sheep by the training ground so I could acually hit things while hunting right out of the tutorial lol.
While that is perfectly true, it's also one of the few things that are completely crazy about this game.
@@cartercustoms4600 Where is the Bow?
@@JayceeGenocide some guards have bows. Get strength up from picking plants and knock one out and take it. The guard by kunesh standing by wall has one. Walk past him to the guy farming then turn around and sneak up behind him. Save fist guards break free a lot.

This game is the definition of a "gem" i wish it got as much recognition as stuff like the Witcher
i still come back and play this every few weeks simply because the combat felt amazing, perfect blend of realism and gameplay fun, solid 10/10 for me
You are seriously not seriously my favorite gamer channel, so lovely and exciting to see a new vid for you always!
39:26 Radzig gives away the huge plot twist right here and it's hilarious how so many people don't catch it.
Makes you wonder, though, if his mother is actually the one who died in the skalitz raid. It's still funny that Martin may have raised him, thinking he was his.
@@LectricLetus Yes, Henry's mom was his real mom. As for Martin knowing Henry is Radzig's son or not, that's unclear.
23:39 the timing of that line “i feel hungry” LOL
27:41 Damm, executioner Hermann was one of my favorite characters. Now he will never marry that lady from the farm.
-How many times can you die in the tutorial?
-IS THIS A CHALLENGE?!
More of this game buddy? This was a ton of fun.
4:40 Pro tip. After the kunesh fight you can knock him out and carry him inside his house. If you throw him down on a table you can wail on his head until max stats.
You can literally become a god amongst men in the tutorial village. Armed to the teeth with ridiculous stats.
18:00 Your horse is still at the stable inside the walls. You CAN leave WITH the horse so long as you're riding it while in disguise as a castle guard. You can just ride out the front gate.
2:50 Henry of Skalitz is said by the devs to be around the same age as Lord/Sir Hans Capon, so around 16-17 years old
Yikes, that Payday 3 sponsor did not age well
Ah, Kingdom of Cum, the game where I spent hours --killing and stealing-- grinding to get amazing gear just to then get bent over a barrel by the first knight I autistically ran at because I forgot to actually train with my gear. Fun times.
Edgy 2008 over here huh!!😂
Playing it with a friend that loves medieval history, especially east european, we're having a blast!
The game with original dubbing in Czech is so immersive, and even accounting bugs and shortcomings, this is the most effort and result i ever saw a game achieve while being financed by their government.
I'm so stoked for the second chapter, i want to let Henry have it's revenge!
Really hope they make a sequel this game is phenomninal
The sequel was just announced. Should be out by the end of the year.
Also safe passage allows you to teleport home with all your loot. And final offer allows you to always get the best price on your transactions.
@@LectricLetus Shoutout to Troubadour which will allow you full access to the bath house service free of charge!
How dare you kill the executioner, he's had a great series of quests tied to him. You're an animal!
I had no idea you could just *Jump In The Moat*. That’s genius.
Currently playing through the game for the first time. Having a blast. No wokeness, no politics, just "Jesus Christ be praised"
One of my favorite games of all time! Super dope to see you playing it!
Henry has come to see us again! God be praised!
13:16 this part is a freaking meme fr. WAIT.. WAIT.. WAIT. WAIT 😅
I played over 100 hours of this game back in 2018.
Recently picked it up again but got the royal edition and played another 120 hours. It’s a great game and it’s insanely immersive. I was pretty much addicted to a game for the first time In years.
Really hope a sequel is announced
Your wishes got granted
The “I feel quite hungry” is the perfect timing
*It took me **_FIVE tries_** just to beat Kunesh on Hard.*
That realization of *_"Oh shit. I'm not "The Chosen One"._*
*_I'M JUST SOME SCRUB!"_*
can be quite the kick in the nads for folk.
I almost felt sorry for the Cumans later in the game, for having to fight Henry at his peak.
You beat a 4 men cuman party this early in your first play through? respect
they were all unarmored archers, quite possibly easier than fighting 1 armored cuman
You have to do the Sir Hans questline. It has some funny moments
That sucks!
Wow, super realistic! 😏
You didn't have enough charisma/speech/intimidation. Multiple ways to avoid that including paying the bribe.
I need more of this. I would absolutely love a series of this
Keep playing this. Combat is a challenge at the start but this is easily one of the best games I have ever played
The Radzig story arc is the best
I’m also Hungarian so it’s great to hear and understand the cuman dialogue 😂
Really hope a second 1 comes out. Super immersive 👌
It's adorable seeing someone new playing KCD for the first time and seeing them try to fight the Cumans at the start
I love this game. Need the next one to be announced soon
I think i used up all it replay value, then modded it and used up the replay value again, I've got like 1,000+hours over Ps4 and PC
Aaaa I love KCD, would love to see another video on it!!
there is no way you played this for the first time.
This game is a seriously underappreciated sleeper. People put it down immediately because they can’t just be an expert badass within 2 seconds of starting the game. If you have an attention span that’s slightly better that a toddler, you will love this game. If you appreciate EARNING your skills…. You will love this game.
That being said….. I downloaded a mod that gave me a crosshair for my bow and unlimited save scum without getting drunk haha.
The saving was the only real thing that bothered me with this game. I actually really like when games use alternative saving mechanics, but this one just wasn't it for me. Luckily once you discover alchemy making the Savior Schnapps becomes really cheap and easy. Excited to see what they do for the sequel, I hope they try something different.
So you put in cheesy crosshairs and saves? Sounds like toddler modding.
Bandits are infinite money for saviour schnapps, lol. Also caves and smoke icons on the map have save beds.
Please play more of this game, I actually love to watch you play it, I may not comment much but I’ll tell you know this one of my favorite games, and youre on a list for one of my favorite TH-camrs.
We need a full psychopath playthrough now, Kev. You didn't even get to the fun of levelling up stealth, knocking out people from behind, taking all their stuff, and watching them wander around in their underwear like nothing happened.
This game is so unbelieveably good
It’s unbelievably bad, especially on console. Loading screen simulator. Plus its obvious it was designed by newbie devs because yikes
@@AlphaQHard Bro doesnt know a single thing about this game. Plus that's gotta be the hardest bait comment I have ever read in my life. The story is nice, the gameplay is 10/10 and the loading time is perfect (I got a PC that's like 8 years old and it runs perfectly even with mods).
Edit: The world building and the combat is 11/10 realism and the level up mechanic is peak.
@@derlitter
The janky target tracking is definitely super realistic. I often lose track of my opponent when Im fighting someone in real life.
Im serious about this game being bad, but considering its done by a small newbie team then I guess its pretty good. I just don’t understand people who glaze this game like its the best thing since sliced bread when it has a ton of issues and is mediocre at best.
@@AlphaQHard It is the best medieval first person story game that exists right now.

Doesnt say much since this genre isnt very saturated. Theres a reason this game is always on heavy discount (I got it for $5)
Please do more this was so fun to watch i even subscribed
One of the best games in the world. Yep I said it
14:05 I was not prepared for the "You, Doctor Eggman" comment😂
Why did you skip the Lady Stephany talk in the middle of the night?
22:37 This whole Peshek questline would not work for me he would only talk about betting on the tournament! So it was fun watching you do it atleast! 😂
Payday 3 sponsorship didn’t age well
God damn dude, I've played through the beginning of the game 4 times and I still didn't even know you can die in jail or gang up on the drunk. Makes me want to play the game again.
i really want a sequel for this game, maybe even a co-op addition. imagine jus accidentally killing your friend cuz your skill in archery is ass
Later in the game, a complex and multi-task quest, upon which the successful resolution of another complex multi-task quest depends on a swift completion of, all hinged on me needing the help of the executioner. I was like, fuck. 🤣
This is a fantastic game, and I love that it seems like more and more streamers are discovering it. Have fun!
That commentary killed me 😆 thank you for brightening my day.
one of my favorite youtuber playing one of my favorite game, what a good day
I went into this game in the summer expecting Oblivion in Germany but got fucking Bannerlord with authenticity
Hal and Theresa are so cute together it disgusts me
I have finished this game 3 times and never saw the prison scene at the start or escaped talmberg via the moat lol, you're gonna make me play it again. Great vid Kev
“You don’t have to talk to me anymore, I’m on my way home”

Bro the executioner becomes one of Henry's good friends, you even help him get a girl. And to see you just curb stomp the poor guy 😂
i am making this comment BEFORE watching the video just to say that the minute you learn how to combat the right way.... this game becomes so much fun. The open world and the missions you do(some are pretty funny) are pretty good if you ask me. Anyways, let me watch this... ty for the vid
Its rare to see someone GENUINELY end up with the alternate raid scene that most people didnt even know existed
Bro just started beating the bathmaid lmaoo. Also when you looked over and the executioner was just staring at you. Both had me laughing
Yo, I had no idea you could die in jail during the beginning like that. That's funny as hell.
