Except for the piles of old tires, I love the Americana of that old stuff. I guess you don't get one without the other. Especially the truck front grilles, those are kewl. I just don't want to own any of it! And I really like the petroleum history of Los Angeles. That must have been one wild era. The hundreds of oil rigs on Venice and Huntington Beach and the hundreds of tiny oil companies, all bought up by the majors. When I lived in LA I knew a couple of folks who collected $60,000 checks every month from their Dads' estates who were in that business back in the 20's.

I picture myself looking out over Signal hill during sunset on a pleasant day amazed at all the oil rigs. I bet you have much more to share about California oil companies than I do even though I live in Southern California. I was in the previously mentioned state had to be some time ago. Let's not worry about how long ago it was. But I got out at this ladies home. Wish I hadn't planned to be home just quite in time to meet me. Can't say I remember why she was home but she was home. I already had permission to bird dog right towards the old car 🚗. She yelled at me stop 🛑. I'm Lily for those of my tracks. This is why I tell you ever wrestle this 50 ft alligator teeth rattlesnake. But she stopped me before I got that far. See I didn't have snake bite boots on. She brought over her husband's boots and me are about the same size at the time. She explained to me how human hip high boots are always enough. Her neighbor was bitten by rattlesnake just about at the beltline. He had his boots on. Spell for next 3 months are better, his wife had to walk the dog 🐕. I believe that was just a metaphor. But I remember this day, clear as day, a neighbor lady down the road walking a medium-sized dog. Her waving at me. She had on more than a snake bite boots. I don't know Pizza top part was homemade or not 🚫. I don't know if she's the same neighbor lady. She explained in those parts people did not even walk to the truck without the boots on. I'm dropping back to The other woman 👠👠. Is that truck is parked a little ways away from the house. She said they always had what they needed nearby to prevent the state from biting them. And they were prepared I want to do when bitten. She relates such a Stern warning to me that I vividly remember. The time has bitten by rattlesnake another time by a copperhead I sure wish I had protection! Ian you know that there's something called a dry bite. But the bacteria they have on their fangs it's pretty nasty in itself. By the way same thing for non-venomous snake. The bacteria that they have and if it gets into your skin via a pre-existing cut or something. I'm pretty sure I told you the story about how I went into the hospital and the medical professional tell me know certain time I was going to lose that foot and part of my leg. It had turned rainbow colors and then some. And it was spreading on up. After it had moved down into my foot 👣. I'll stop here by telling that I was going to be buried with both of my feet 🐾. Play hook me up in ivy and it was very interesting for a while. Investing in a pair of boots is a great thing especially if you leave them in your truck to protect the front seat 🪑.
