Not unless you wanted it. No use overpaying for something when you have an abundance already. I would have thrown that emblem onto the hood of that truck 🚚 personally. It was originally part of the truck and should be sold with it. I do cringe 😬 when you cut the cars up. Glad that boat escaped.😂
Silas, thanks for bringing us along to the auction. The old 1949 Chevy truck was my favorite item . I owned a 1954 Chev 1500 grain truck I bought in Saskatchewan Canada
The auction was a hoot... Have not been to one for many years with my Dad who has passed 3 yrs this month, he was 94. Miss you Dad 🎉💕✌️Rest In Peace ✌🏻
12:34 ,i always get those old school Lakewood or most other old box fans from the 60's thru early 90's they just move way more air & more quiet than today's modern junk & easier to service, prefer the metal blade models though, modern ones are disposable junk
8:17 ,I probably buy the dumpster as a joke if it went cheap enough, or use it for storage of valuable scrap such as catalytic converters, I remember they broke into a friend's scrapyard & stole some stupid brass ,but skipped over a entire dumpster full of cats ,with some fake garbage on top
Not seen a wico mag for a long time ,I used to have a box of them that eventually got scrapped ,used to remove them from engines and replace them with Lucas mags which were way more reliable .
I really enjoyed your video I could watch them all day every day I scrap too I. Just done got old can’t do it anymore but I still have 750-800 car and truck just waiting on price to go up and then I’m done it 6.50 hundred here in north Louisiana
Looks like he done well. To know when not to buy is as important as knowing when to buy. That Red C 50 Chevy cabin doors would have been 4 years ago. Why buy something to haul it to your yard when something like it will come to your yard
You beat him but ironically without meaning to I watched his first. You both do a great job and I appreciate the different perspectives on the same events
Those 1970's Dodge truck grilles and other parts sell for good money here in Pennsylvania. Looked like the doors on it might have been pretty good also.
Farm Auction - You got all those Boxes with "Small" for a Bargain ! Hey - I love that CAT House ! S/S Burner - 2 Burner Table - cool Buys ! Ah - Mountain Dew ! Nice Tractor ! Cheap Feeders - Silo - nice ! You got the Truck ! Congrats Silas on ALL the Good Deals - well done ! Mr.Goodpliers and You are Friends ! You get Thief's every were - Go to any Garage Sales - Flea Markets etc! Fantastic Video - always Enjoyable and many Cheers from Australia ! Quote of the Day : I am Not here to buy Junk !
Thanks for the bi-weekly vids, Silas. They are something that just relieves the stress of our days. It’s a lot of work, I know, but your type of work keys up our interest and desire to know more.
Beautiful auction. But I also enjoyed the beautiful views with rising sun. What huge acreages. You must feel wonderful there. Thanks for your beautiful video! p.s. was that a big garden gnome there? I thought I saw one.... (at 42.58 )😁😎👍
Im a little late to comment, but I watched a Mr. Goodpliers episode at this same auction. I live in Central Indiana and ever since covid the live auction scene has really really died off. I had my Indiana auctioneers license for years and let them expire last year because I got tired of going to continuing education every 4 years
I would love to have the red Fairlane. That's one of my favorite cars. Be kinda hard to get it to East Tennesse. These cars are very valuable in the muscle car world.
Would have been cool to see you get the Merc and big Chev, but at least you got the white Chevy! I really like that auctioneer! He's funny and just good added content for the videos! Bummer about someone taking/stealing that Chevy hood emblem.
Fairly new sub here silas , love the vids and the history of what you can tell. I also live pretty much flipping whatever I can . Keep it up and good health to you ! 🍻
I have a bale feeder identical to the bigger one you bought sitting in the junk pile. Mine is in pretty rough shape. I genuinely thought it was something homemade my dad picked up somewhere.
Matt's off road recovery out in Utah could use the passenger door n probably the rocker panel on his spud truck job he's doing on his channel that is if you get the red truck with the rusty roof
I probably would have went 5500 on that 66 Fairlane. Been looking for a good solid 289 66-67 Fairlane for a few years. Very hard to find a solid original one in my area.
Yep some people do and others want to watch auctions and other stuff. My last treasure hunt video barely got any views. I’ll keep posting a mixed bag 😎
Personally I think it would be pretty neat to see you fish for something 😜 other than a great deal on stuff. Do a day of fishin an cookin,or better known as caugh & cook. Great content 👍.
I bought some junk computers for ewaste at an online sale. When I went to pick it up they had a no sale pile of other electronics. I bought it for $3. When I went through it, I found a new aftermarket radio for a 60’s thunderbird that I sold for $200.
I always dig through the trash dumpster at sales before it starts. No food/cans/etc are in there yet and you can find some good stuff that they thought wasn’t worth selling.
First minute lets go! I was binge watching te old crushing video's during the winter time, cant wait till we see more yard cleanup and loader pov video's and crushing video's. Love what u do silas! 😊
I maybe subscribed to Mr goodpliers but I don't watch his videos . I just really like your videos and I am subscribed to a lot of channels of different types but there is only so many hours in a day but I never miss your videos I always have time for you.
You should have bought the big Caddy next to the Mercury. At 450.00 it was worth more than that for scrap, but no telling how high the other bidder would have gone.
"Move in ready." LOL Silas, do you see a lot of 60s cars and trucks? It seems like most of what you get are 50s cars and trucks. I have an affinity for Chevy IIs and am in need of one, very small, piece of corner trim for the rear window on my 65 wagon.
I would have picked up that Chev hood ornament, went over and put it in the truck before the auction started. It belonged to that truck; it should have been in it.
Those vintage ski doo things, do they have enough value to make it worthwhile having to move them around? I always thought there was a collector market for those.
I am curious about your scrap price quotes in your videos, mixed metal (entire car with fluids drained) are currently $.055 per Lb. at my local scrap yard (a chain of scrap buyers that own multiple locations), so a 1962 Bronco Roadster weighs 3850 Lbs. which would yield $192.50, how do you arrive at your claims of $400-$500 scrap for a car ? The car would have to weigh over 9000Lbs. to get to $500
Creeping up close to $250 a ton here and radiators are $2.50+. Those are high volume prices of course. Joe blow with one car is getting paid $150 a ton and around $2 on radiators.
Should I have bid higher on the car or the truck?
Not unless you wanted it. No use overpaying for something when you have an abundance already. I would have thrown that emblem onto the hood of that truck 🚚 personally. It was originally part of the truck and should be sold with it. I do cringe 😬 when you cut the cars up. Glad that boat escaped.😂
na ya kinda of overloaded
I think you did well. I'm sure there will be several more auctions with similar vehicles.
You should get that VCR tape transfer to digital so you can put it on your channel for every one else.
No Legal Title = parts vehicles not cars or trucks
It doesn't matter if you and Goodpliers do the auctions we watch AND enjoy both!
love the stories I remember almost all the back in the day.
I appreciate your stories!
Me too
@@christophertaylor2464 And Me !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was 34 36 years ago.
@@Amen.22 And I gonna be 80 on the 12th of November !
Silas I love it! "I'm not here to buy junk " 😅
Or buy much.
When I say junk I mean outright scrap. Of course everything I buy and own is junk, but not that type of junk 😆
Excellent adventure silas cheers 🥂 😊
You exemplify the old adage " One man's junk is another"s treasure"
My treasure is all junk but it’s still my treasure 😆
Junk only becomes real junk when no one wants it. Otherwise it's potential treasure.
That's a $500 Bronco Grill - WOW.
Thumbs up great video, don't care if others film the same auction, all seen at different angles, cool that you got that white flatbed
12:34 ,i always get those old school Lakewood or most other old box fans from the 60's thru early 90's they just move way more air & more quiet than today's modern junk & easier to service, prefer the metal blade models though, modern ones are disposable junk
Fun Shopping Spree Silas. 👊😎👍
I always watch your videos. Not other old car videos
You better ask Goodpliers if he took your hood ornament ha ha.
Very nice video. And listening to what you have to say is fascinating! I appreciate what you are doing for us. Thank you Si
LIKE THE STORY
I agree that you and Mr. Goodpliers offer different perspectives, both are entertaining and informative.
o cool my favorite channel thanks silis
Looks like you bought pretty well today. Pretty awesome to see. The stories are what makes you who you are and we love hearing them.
The best is you doing you
Kayak makes great snack trays for gators 🐊

Except those Broncos are a junk and the replacement parts are out of site

I plan to keep it up for at least the rest of the year!
Silo would b neat to turn up side down and make a shak out of, would have to make floor flat lol
The Chevy truck is a 53.. large numbers only on hoodsides.54 had them too with a one piece windshield..
I love them
Yay,AMFS! the wonkers at 1:30 made me LOL 😂

Hope you have some video on the White (brand) grain truck.
That guy was crazy for paying that price for The kayaks that was definitely new kayak price. I just paid $200 for a new kayak without paddles
Yes that was cool Peace out
I like that you guys have reg auctions
Up here in Canada they all got lazy after covid and only do online now
I liked the old John Deere A, enjoyed the video!

Awesome. Thanks for the video.
i like when you tell your storys
Always watching for your adventures! My favorite thing was the bronco grill only because that was the first three in the tree I drove
I love to hear an auctioneer
At 2:00 : you could also use it as a boat 😀.
That one little hay feeder would make a good bike rack
If you find that old VHS tape it would be awesome to see!
I was looking for parts on ebay, and lo and behold, Mr goodpliers was selling what I was after. Ended up finding it locally though
Ratticus giganticus !

You should have went $1,100 on 64 Comet Conv, was a buildable car!😊

That old boat looks like the one I just sold it was a starcraft model
Another great video.
My advice to you buy everything 1st gen Bronco, parts vehicles etc.
I have a bale feeder identical to the bigger one you bought sitting in the junk pile. Mine is in pretty rough shape. I genuinely thought it was something homemade my dad picked up somewhere.
As a longtime Mountain Dew consumer, there is something about it that goes right though ya 😂
I wouldn't have taken the hood ornament either, but I might have accidentally kicked some grass or dirt over it and then " found" it afterwards 😂
Maybe you already know, but the grill and 2 cyl. engine are from a john Deere model L or LA! Love the videos!
Crazy D briefly spotted at 36:23
Better pick up those big bundles of Charmin.......ha ha
Buy the Fairlane ab bronco buddy.
I always li,e Tim Mr goodpliers I watch his videos and
