    Hello! I've just bought my first board and I woud love a video about what scratches to worry about and how to fix them. Thanks for the content btw

    • @Sunandski
      @Sunandski  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Awesome, stoked you're stoked! When it comes to scratches its pretty easy. Little scratches on the bottom, not anything to worry too much, but if you take it to a shop with a base grinder they can smooth it out for you. Big, deep scratches, especially ones that go all the way through the base and hit the graphic/core. Get those fixed ASAP, it is something you can do yourself as a temporary fix but its always best to take it to a certified tech at a shop to make sure it's done properly.

    I currently have a Deep Thinker (23-24) and was thinking of a second board. The Custom comes to mind. Would the Custom be a good add-on considering i have the Deep Thinker as well? so powder and groomers?

    • @Sunandski
      @Sunandski  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Really depends on your personal riding style and exactly what you want out of a 2nd board. But if you just want a great, traditionally shaped all-mountain ride it's hard to beat the Custom.

    • @oldmanwintereight
      @oldmanwintereight 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Personally when starting a quiver I always suggest grabbing something that’s a little further away from what you already have and build from there. Even though the Deep Thinker is a directional board, the balanced freeride geometry makes it feel like a traditional all mountain ride on flat snow. I’d say try something a little softer and more park focused but still has all mountain capabilities like the Process. This way you have a fun, chillin, cruising the park or resort board and a board for high speed resort runs that floats in the pow. It’s really up to you and your personal preferences as well. Like I said in the video, no one hates the Custom.

    I had the Capita Mercury from last year but it unfortunately got stolen. Thankfully - I didn't love it... The Mercury was just WAY too stiff for me. It felt like I was riding a motorcycle instead of driving a car. I really had to constantly commit the entire time. That said - the last board I loved was my Burton Harvest. The Harvest was great but a bit too much chatter, pretty slow unless I was on groomer, but overall a really fun ride. Is the custom somewhere in the middle? I'd say I'm intermediate -> advanced. Back bowls and trees, groomers with the gf, and don't really hit the park anymore due to my age. Of course I look for side hits when they're there. Worth getting the custom or should I look into something less stiff? Is the flying V more playful? There's just so much info out there and trying to wrap my head around it. I only ride about a month per year, so no time to really demo something. Appreciate you taking the time to read this in advance!

    • @Sunandski
      @Sunandski  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Arcyantmakes sense, the Mercury is a little more on the “freeride” side of things and the Harvest was basically a “cambered” version of the Nug which was more of a traditional all mountain ride just a little softer and had the “Nug Raduction” so you could ride is smaller. From what you’ve said the Custom in the cambered version sounds like it would be a perfect match for you.
