This is the best golf content on TH-cam. The Adventures in Golf series is insanely underrated. I really don’t understand how this channel isn’t absolutely blowing up yet
@@eduarddv00 that’s an interesting point…but google says 70 million golfers worldwide (25 million in North America)…so not the largest audience but not too bad 🤷♂️
I’m Vietnamese and I can confirm everything in this documentary is accurate. I feel blessed to play in Vietnam, there are so many great courses across the country. Great video guys I freakin love it!
@@timgale7516 wow that’s hard to say for me. But if I have only 7-10 days in Vietnam for traveling and golfing, I’d go to central region, beautiful beaches and some of the best golf courses in Vietnam like: Laguna in Lang Co, BRG Montgomerie in Da Nang, Ba Na Hill Golf Resort. But I would also recommend the North Region within October to December at Ha Long Bay we have FLC Ha Long Golf Resort has the best views of the bay, Thanh Lanh Golf Resort in Vinh Phuc also stunning. The South I never played but I heard the Bluffs Ho Tram Golf Club is beautiful. I suggest you should take sometimes to research for the best courses that you like or just simply spend more time in Vietnam to enjoy them all. Each places have their own charms. Wish you a good trip man!
Just discovered the channel and I'm on a marathon with your videos, can't stop. Extremely great content! You'll be a very successful youtuber man, keep it up!
This is the best internet series I’ve ever watched. And I don’t even consider myself a golf fan. I’ve played on and off my whole life but haven’t played in a few years. Now I NEED to get back out there.
I just got back from playing in Vietnam and it was incredible. Just be aware that rounds can get a little pricey but all worth it. My favorite so far was Hoiana Shores Golf Club... absolutely amazing.
Fantastic video Erik! I can't recommend this to people enough, go to Asia. Play golf, have fun, and see a totally different world than what you're used to in the west. (Often times on a much cheaper budget too) Sure it's a longer flight, but if every few years you go on a big 7-10 day golf trip you should consider going to places like Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Korea, or the Philippines as your destination. That doesn't even begin to cover places in Western and Central Asian countries such as Turkey, UAE, and India which are also less visited golf destinations in Asia. There's a big golf world out there, go find it!
We live in Asia about 6 months a year. Playing golf in Asia…is the best. The courses are beautiful. Love the videos! Amazing to see the worlds courses through your travels. ❤
Having been to Da Nang for the last 5 years, before cv19, I can say this video hits home. Laguna is north of Da Nang and BRG is south, and closer. But my wife and I love to play at Ba Na Hill Golf. This course is about 7 years old now, has night lights, and carved into the hilly/mountain. what to eat in Da Nang: Mi Quang, Rotisserie chicken (Ga Tu Ta 62 Hai Phong), and any bun cha ca places mentioned in video.
Great video as always Erik! We went to Vietnam from the UK in 2013.... Hired scooters and went from Saigon all the way to Hanoi. We played golf and were the only 2 people on the course! It was so expensive and so exclusive, hopefully that has changed. Vietnam however was the most amazing country I have ever been to. 🥰
I’m afraid the pricing hasn’t changed. On average, you’re looking at 80-100 quid for a round that includes caddy and golf cart. Doesn’t include the tip for the caddy that is around 15-20 quid based on a good experience. That being said, you get what you pay for. The courses and facilities are pristine
Man I wish we had caddies like those in the states. It would make casual golf a lot more fun. If it’s your first time at a course with caddies they can help you out quite a bit.
Seeing a Laguna golf course featured on AIG is surreal to me. Grew up playing the Laguna course in Phuket, Thailand and I can say it's equally as beautiful! AIG please get Erik out to the Philippines! We have over 100 courses and plenty of great stories to tell. If you see this please reach out - I can help with the stories and all of the connects to the courses.
Couldn't agree more. Played the original course here at BRG Danang a couple of years ago. Fantastic scenery and layout. Looking forward to going again after watching this. The Laguna course sounds amazing too.
Very interesting content. I love watching golf in different settings and cultures. Faldo course looks amazing. So many different landscapes within the course.
Got those shoes and played my first round after getting them. The shoes are magic as I got my first hole in 1. Whitney Oaks, par 3, 188 yards (was shot at with a range finder) and what a surreal moment/feeling. Been a HUGE fan since being introduced to the community and love everything about it! @RGC & @Eric absolutely amazing!
EAL, looks like I am putting Vietnam on my golf bucket list. Thanks for the video. May you hit nothing but fairways and greens and never three putt!!!!
I played danang back in 2019 before COVID. I agree fantastic! The service was amazing and the facilities impeccable. Although Vietnam can be inexpensive, golf is not. It's priced on par with international venues. I wish I could of played another round. Need to go back
In South East Asia Vietnam, Thailand and Indonesia have the best caddies Once they aligned the ball on the green, just knock it If your drive went 100 yards into the jungle, they will find it Worth every penny paid for their tips
Commenting from Singapore 🚩Golf in Asia is amazing and totally underrepresented in TH-cam content creation. Come over, have a game, have a laugh and leave with a smile 😃
Thank you for such z great video of a great country and its wonderful people, lived in VN for 4 yrs but never got a chance to golf, hey what about Laos for your next video???
I would love to go to Viet Nam. Great that they are building golf courses. One question. How much does it cost to play there? The round, the caddy, rental clubs etc.
Great video but would have been great to include Hoiana and Ba Na in Danang as well and some courses in Saigon since you filmed the intro to the video there!
golf cost is getting out of hand in VN. a sunday round at a mid level course is about 150USD caddie tip not included. a laborer monthly salary is about 300.
currently a third of the way through and just realized it was uploaded an hour ago!!! was wondering why i havent seen this ep before. shit eating grin the whole time as always
My reaction to the country having 54 golf courses in operation and already becoming a premium golf destination 🤯… In the Tampa area there is 45 courses within a 15 mile radius and none look as good as any of those courses! Full disclosure I’ve only been to 13 of the courses here but I’ll stand by my statement. 😂
i lived on and off in vietnam since 2016. work for all Vietnamese school in Canada. the diet here will lower your inflammation level so that you can play longer and happyier. also if u marry a girl here the kids wont be fat...key to life
These were some of the nicest courses I’ve seen in a long time. But i see these courses are created for mostly the westerners. Not to many Vietnamese can afford to learn or able to play around or 2. I understand it gives jobs to the locals. Maybe they have a junior golf schools like the USA or other countries have.
looks like a lovely destination but seems to be all for tourists. a pity that we didn't find out what is bein done to develope oppurtunities for ordinary local kids to start playin

ig thats because in the grand scheme of things, not many people play golf
Oh contraire mon frere
They're previous seasons got a lot of attention. I just don't think enough people know that there is a new season coming out.
Agreed.

18 holes golf will cost a month's wage for the working class around that locality. Lang Co is just out of Da Nang on the way to Huế
Play here …. in Indonesia….I doubt that it is not one of the best golf scenes in the world with tenths of international standard course …
