What a voice! Great singer. I remember he was lauded and blessed by flautist Pt Hari Prasad Chaurasia several years back in one Indian reality show where he sang this one and mesmerised all the judges.

I followed Akbar Ali after his Lux Jonoon performance where he displayed his potential as classical singer, acknowledged and appreciated by Pt Hari Prasad Chourasia. I feel confident about his potential even more after listening to his recent performances. He is yet to be acknowledged by masses across this sub continent. Ma Saraswati tumhe wo mukam jaldi se pradan karen.
Thank you... no doubt there are many more singers of his generation in Pakistan but I would like to say "BozorgoN ki Rooh" aur "Haathi ke PaaouN meiN sab ka PaaouN". After the generation of Hamid Ali KhaN and similar talented from various other gharana et al, Akbar has definitely given capacity and hope to the survival of note worthy preservation of our classical heritage. Listened to this in Javed Bashir's shb voice but Akbar Ali has a knack of beautifying even the most perfect of bandishes. May God bless this maestro with everything he ever desires, for he has filled a void that existed for decades in the classical music scene. My God, how he crafts a perfect balance in Vilambit and yet moves like thunder in the Drut is so out of this world. Plus, have thoroughly enjoyed the work done by Kashif Ali Dhani shb especially with Ustad Shafqat and now this. Zoheb's sarangi is majestic as always. Once again, The Dream Journey you know how to soothe your audience in the toughest of times. It's time to confer Pride of Performance upon him.

Wish the sarangi was lower in the mix and not overpowering his vocals. Akbar Ali has to be one of the most accomplished classical singers of his generation. He has the maturity, purity and thehrao that you rarely see from even the bigger gharana singers.
Great performance, though I felt Akbar Ali was holding back a bit here, compared to the other Bageshree you will find from himself on YT from a few years ago, which has been in a class of its own for me. Again, thanks to Dream Journey for this remarkable initiative. I hope to be able to support you financially soon
