So I have worked with Mr Byrd since the day he placed his order almost 5 months ago. He is one of the most funny, amazing people and he has a voice that is unbelievable! So when he came to pick his smoker up his son was with him and he was doing a video as a lot of people do. I HAD NO IDEA THAT HE WAS STARTING A TH-cam CHANNEL! He called me today to let me know that I am in his first video ever! I am so honored and pleased that he would do this. So I guess now that I'm famous everyone can start sending donations for autographs 😂😂 Anyway I know I speak like a country bumpkin but I've never realized exactly how bad! When you work in a Fab shop you don't dress like a princess so I look like a hot mess! Definitely not my best makeup day but this guy is amazing and he has so many informative videos and Cooks on our smokers in about our company. I am just SO GLAD that he did not tell me that his son was videoing this entire thing to post on TH-cam! Shout out to the Texas Bluz Man! As you can hear he is most definitely the bluz man, absolutely amazing voice! Cannot wait to come to DFW to hear you play!
Sharon, Lone Star Grillz is an amazing company and you truly define what "Made in America" is all about! Many thanks to Texas Bluzman BBQ for sharing this on his channel! A huge fan of both of ya'll now!
I’m a year late to the party but this video is just another reason why I am going with Lone Star as my company and grill of choice. There is much more involved here than just a grill on a patio. Thank you Bluzman for your time and dedication informing us. Best of luck with your channel!
We've had our new 20 x 36 offset for 3 weeks now and it's a game changer for sure. I had no idea it could be this easy and this fun. And I can vouch for the entire buying process. They were great from order out to delivery. Just a fantastic company.
Great video. I stumbled across your channel while researching LSG pellet smokers. I’ve been smoking for years on my Green Mountain Grill and Weber Smokey Mountain but I think it’s time to upgrade to the big leagues. Good call driving down to pickup the smoker. That’s what I was fixin to do (I live in Prosper which isn’t too far from you).
Great video, new sub. Congrats! Ordered mine 4 days after you. Got the call last week that it’s ready to be crated for shipping. Hoping I get tracking info this week and delivery next week.
Question for you on these. Does it have a built in temp probe for the Fireboard controller, or do you have to use the included ambient temp probe to run the grill?
Hey Brian! thanks for the ask. There is definitely a "probe 7" that is a built in, permanent temp probe. You do have the option to change the pit temp assignment to an ambient probe of you like, but the ambient temp probe is not required.
Hey bro….I really enjoyed watching this video of the facility…I’ve never been, so this was cool to see where our “babies” were born. Thanks for sharing….your fellow D/FW cooker here🤘
I GOT MY 20 X 36 LSG PELLET GRILL A COUPLE MONHTS AGO AND LOVE IT, I GOT THE OFFROAD PACKAGE IT LOOK GREAT AND RAISES THE GRILL A FEW INCHES ALSO, SUPER GREAT FOLKS TO DEAL WITH . I KNOW YOU WILL ENJOY YOURS
Paul...check out LSG's NEW wood chips made specifically for their pellet grills... these specific sized wood chips can be combined up to a 50/50 mix with any pellet of choice... They're thought behind this is to produce as close as possible of smoke flavor as an offset.. p.s would love to see someone do a low and slow with the combination so we out here in TH-cam land can get an honest 3rd party opinion on the results...Blessings
You're welcome! Thanks for the comment!! I went for the 8" Caster. I like that it's bigger and the locking feature (not available on the 5") is invaluable to me.
@@Eric-jy6jh it’s not only that but also our VAT tax at 20% on everything including shipping, but LSG is set up for exports so don’t have to pay your state tax.(unlike Franklin)Your country makes the best smokers in the world so have to bite the bullet😮With the off-road kit and options it’s probably going to be 6500 Uk pounds at my door.😤But it will last my lifetime.
I had a small Traeger before that would only fit one brisket. The 36 was a huge upgrade for me, so cost was a factor there - $300 for an extra 6". I think the shipping would have been over $450 at the time I ordered - plus I just really wanted to go to Conroe and get it. With fuel prices these days, I'm not sure I came out too far ahead on cost, but it was a lot of fun!!
I took several ratchet straps with me and they secured it so well that it became part of the Uhaul trailer! I ran over some rough road in construction zones and it did not move one bit. YMMV With fuel prices today, you may come out ahead having it shipped, however. Ask Sharon!!
@@txbluzmn I am trying to find the "Retirement Smoker" that can do it all. After watching your videos, along with some others, i think I have found it. Thanks.
Hey man great video and congrats on your new LSG! I ordered my 20x42 back in May and I'm hoping to have it by November. Unfortunately I'm all the way in Maryland so I had to bite the bullet for the shipping. Did you already do your burn-in and seasoning on it? It would be cool to see a video of you doing that. As far as specific cooks, definitely want to see you try a couple of briskets, several racks of ribs, maybe a few pork butts and then some whole chickens or something. Basically I want to see you smoke anything and everything on your LSG so I can get even more excited about mine! Happy cooking brother.
