I had a Giulia Q4 for over 2 years and I just stepped into a Stelvio Quadrifoglio a few weeks ago. Aside from the Stelvio feeling a little bigger and heavier, it is so much more capable, engaging, confident, and obviously practical
Well I have to be biased here! I’ve have my Misano Blue one since July last year and absolutely love it. Proper Jekyll and Hyde car, and not many around so less obvious than your typical BMW X’s and Merc AMGs (last I looked only around 430 registered on the roads in UK!). I’ve added the exhaust valve remote as well so it’s open now in all modes and sounds lush! On the 4wd point, she’s predominantly RWD with fronts cutting in of there’s slip detected on the rears. So so so much fun to drive!
Yes I should have mentioned the rear bias. I’ve also got the remote valve controller but the standard exhaust on my Giulia and it’s permanently open as well. Thanks for watching and commenting. Ed
@@Back_Road_Hero my Stelvio is the standard exhaust too. Speaking with AHM who fitted the valve for me, they didn’t think the Akropovic exhaust added a lot more in terms of tone and sound. I think you’d need what the Americans use in terms of a freer flowing X pipe in the middle. More than happy with how it sounds now. Your Guilia might be a bit louder as I think the door glass in the current Stelvio is laminated. Looking from top it looks to be 2 thinner sheets with a laminate in between. Certainly different to any door glass I’ve seen before or what is in my wife’s Puma or in my Focus RS.
Great review, I have the Stelvio 2.0 L, but I still really want this one - someday perhaps! 😆
If I was in the market for a new SUV then this would probably be it. Ed

Brilliant, the best of both worlds, and there's a sunroof option too. Thank you for the review.
Great video. I did try the Stelvio Quadrifolio the other day when my Giulia was in for service and like you said it is a great practical alternative
Totally unexpected wasn’t it? Not surprising though since it’s basically the same chassis.
@@Back_Road_Hero Exactly. Alfa Romeo really smashed it with these two cars

Got a missano blue QV too, love it!
@@joannamunn6424 the colour really suits the curves on the Stelvio 😎😎
I love this car, I will have this next year!! Thank u for the post!
Giulia QV owner now…but if / when parenthood calls this is definitely on the shortlist alongside an RS4.
is this MY2021 or MY2020?
It’s the 2021MY I believe. Exact same car as @carwow reviewed. Ed
Beautiful Car prefer an F Pace though
Trouble is that this is primarily a tow car. F Pace is well down on towing capability. 2600Kg V 3500Kg for the RR. Ed
