Ambitious Osiris regardless of his position he’s still one of my favorite players and I’m happy hes still with the program just kills me to know his career playing was ended by a terrible injury hope to meet the guy one day

My Dad is a chaplain at the DJJ (Department of Juvenile Justice) center in Columbia. Marcus Lattimore was kind enough to come out there and talk to the kids about Christianity and life in general. So much respect for what he has done on and off the field!
Living in South Carolina, I had the pleasure of actually seeing Marcus, play in Columbia a couple times.It,really did break my heart when his injury took place....I tell ya, "at the time"....that kid was a straight WAR HORSE!
He had speed,power,confidence,very humble and always at attention... being that listener and team player!
Just a really smart player... and simply a stallion when watching him play!!
He would have been able to take..."not only" the SEC by a storm, that the level had not seen in a while...
Had his playing continued in that early season, injury year....I could imagine....my goodness!
Marcus, would have been.... no doubt, "at the very least".... a Heisman candidate, if not your winner!!!

Never celebrating or pushing, projecting or insinuating... ANY TYPE OF DISRESPECT TO ANYONE! Game time or elsewhere!
There was no celebrating or "trash talking" the guy just played ball....he didn't "toss the ball" to the ref....he "handed" the ball, to the ref.....yes, when he stroked down the field for a big gain, or even a touchdown ....He turned to the ref,handed them the ball and off to the sideline as a team player!!
That's one thing, I hate to admit... went out the door when Marcus, was injured.
I've never seen a kid with such talent... and with the ability, to do the things, he did....yet be so humble and reserved with himself. Marcus, could have been "that guy" who did show out and act up on the field....even if he did "just a tiny bit"....it would have been o.k. lol.....
but no....he always remained the guy, with the most class on the field.
Polite and simply a guy you wanted to have it all!!
Someone who really earned the rewards of being a great, professional superstar!!!
Marcus,would have been the ultimate of hero's and idols, because he was the man on field as off field....
and at all time's never putting himself before anyone.
The world itself needs more guys like Marcus Lattimore, and I'm not going to shy away from saying..."the field could use a few more like him as well".
I grew up in a little town down south, that's put many guys into college stadiums (quite a few Gamecocks too) also in the NFL. However....I can truthfully say: "I've never seen a more talented or more respectful man, on the field than Marcus".
I hope he always has a home, here with The Gamecocks...
because he sure is well liked around these parts... and if he can simply put just a spark of himself,
in any of these guys here at Carolina... then I say they are a success!

Yea, they moved the ball some but when they did we ended up forcing a turnover. Georgia was getting help from referees especially when we stopped them on 4th down at the end and they called that bs holding call on an uncatchable pass. Georgia needed help for that game to even go to overtime but go ahead and spin it however you want.
