It ain't no lsu or Miami or Oklahoma but it's more than that. All that money and shit is great, but having a living legend coaching at js is motivation for a generation or more of some of the most elite talent to be brought in to js. They are choosing a road that is different. They are choosing the possibility of greatness over a promise of come here and get lots of shit and hope you are stand out enough to be position 1 or 2. Learning directly from the mouth of a goat who can relate to these young men on different levels, and get thru to them and speak In a way they respect and understand is a huge opportunity. I'm sure many will go on to play at giant d1 machines and if they do they will have a huge step up over many of the dudes who chose a direct path to d1. It's am experience of a life time for guys like Travis. He can look at highlights and see what coach did on the field and understand coach wants what's best and knows how to get there if I listen and do what he says. It's different when you have a giant staff and let's say an older white coach who's more hard-nosed and doesn't have the same pedigree as prime. It would be a harder sell in that regard. You would be looking more at the team and the guys who got recruited and the campus than anything I'd think. Its great. Good for Travis, hope he's able to hang in there put on a few lbs of muscle and do what he does.

Travis seems like a good ole country boy that is always working hard at everything he decides to participate in. Super excited to see how well he does this year!
I think Coach Prime is building a program and a brand that's past due for these HBCUs. We have seen that it does not matter what school, you can be drafted so this makes it easier and less wear and tear if you are skilled to go to one of these schools. On the flip side I'm intrigued about what this turns into. I see higher draft picks due to less injuries. I also want to see football like March Madness where anyone can get it.
No you dont. A school like Bama would put up 50 on JSU in the first half.....also small school kids do get drafted but very rarely do they go high. It definitely matters. Nobody views excelling against lesser competition as an advantage.
@@lanardfletcher1422The NIL is going to do two things; It will level the playing field and teach schools a lesson. OSU lost $1mil on Quinn Ewers who is now a Longhorn. Smaller schools will now have a chance. And don't forget the Sun Belt conference came out of nowhere.
@@genxsports8486 yeah but the problem is yeah small schools can cash out on a couple of players each cycle but OSU can fill their entire class with NIL. Its a small sum game.
@@5staruce I mean I just threw a name out there. Didn't have to be Bama. I just picked them because Deion said he wanted to play Bama (even though they are most talented and best coached team in the country pretty much every year so they would probably score points at will on JSU). But you could put any tier 1 school in Bama's place. 9 times out of 10, Georgia or OSU or Bama or somebody like that would be a 1 seed and JSU would be a 16 seed and it would play out ugly. Maybe on down the line if things start to even out because of NIL and all that, then yeah a tournament would be cool but as of today and probably the next decade or so, it would be a waste of time.
I’m definitely bringing the family to Jackson, MS to catch a game and financially support the city by patronizing the local businesses! Coach Prime will do wonders for HBCUs and the city of Jackson, MS!!!

I appreciate this video more so than any other content posted on the channel. Walter Payton( Jackson St) is my favorite RB of all time because of how relentless and determined he played the game. Humble beginnings, hard work, and a passion for the game is a recipe for greatness. A lot of these young men sacrificed the fancy network, gear, stadium, facilities, and perks of attending big universities. But they are reigniting the HBCU route to the pros. They are getting the advice from one of the best NFL players to ever do it. He is challenging the NFL and we are witnessing more and more HBCU athlete graduating and going pro. A lot of great players came from HBCUs. Never played a snap of football in my life, but being a STEM major at a PWI is not ideal at all. HBCUs also cater to black students and produce future black professionals like no other! Future recruits, my advice to you is not to overlook an opportunity to play with Coach Sanders.
Lets be real WHO WOULDNT WANT TO PLAY FOR THE GREATEST PURE ATHLETE IN NFL HISTORY! Not to mention Prime can say normal words and make the shit hit your soul. I would have been there in a heartbeat
For the young bulls who DONT KNOW.. Deion Sanders IS The #1 Cornerback of ALL TIME of the NFL. IF NOT... & its a HUGEEEE IF. He is top 3 All time. Just throwing that out there though
I think he’s number 2 right behind Woodson. Deion was amazing man to man, I feel like Woodson could do it all a bit better imo. Woodson had the man, zone, could stop the run and tackle.

I stay loving the content man. Keep up the greatness, and keep inspiring these kids man, you serve a higher purpose.
They have money because the BEST BLACK ATHLETES GO TO THEIR SCHOOLS AND PLAY FOOTBALL........JERRY RICE, WALTER PAYTON, DOUG WILLIAMS, MICHAEL STRAHAN, JOHN STALLWORTH, AENEAS WILLIAMS, SHANNON SHARPE, RICHARD DENT, EVERSON WALLS, SYEVE MCNAIR......ALL WENT TO HBCUs, ALL HALL OF FAMERS OR WILL BE ONE DAY
Way too long to read, but I do agree with the first couple sentences.
Great comment just remember JSU is also D1 lol. Knew what you meant tho.
real
@@goldenarmzs the bigger schools have far more money to throw around to get the top recruits and thatll never change. The new system is gonna kill recruiting for the small schools. Its unfair and bs but thats the reality.
He is a phenomenal coach. As an athlete he is the apex of what you want in a mentor and almost more importantly friend
This was awesome! Travis looks right at home at JSU. I can see he’s loving it, and that he’s already bought into Coach Prime’s philosophy. #DopeVisit
I’m glad you showed a HBCU some love ✊🏾🔥🔥
Dee… I have been watching your videos every night after work for probably the last 2 weeks. Im too small to play football but i am a big fan. Im a high school teacher and it so good to see you give back. Keep up the awesome footage.
I was waiting on a Jackson State video bro 🔥🔥🔥 by me staying in Mississippi I love to see it put that work in fellas
You go Deion you were one of the best in the NFL..But you might be greater out!! The care and love for the kids the school the community..#21 the true GOAT!!
As a person that came from a small school to a big school, what these players build at smaller schools unmatched. These are family relationships, playing in front of a big crowd, getting all the gear, TV time means nothing in the long run these people will forget about you and its on to the next. Build your legacy with people that want to build with you....God Bless
HEY! BELIEVE IN YOURSELF AND YOU WILL BE UNSTOPPABLE😤. The moment you want to quit is the moment you need to keep pushing. You got this !❤️🔥💯
Hey bro good for you getting crocs to sponsor. Many blessings you deserve it
Great job Destroying on showcasing the awesome job and impact that Coach Prime is doing at JSU and for HBCUs period…I am a proud alumni of the Bulldogs of South Carolina State University…we celebrated a great victory over JSU last season …we know JSU is looking for some Get Back…can’t wait. Keep up the great work Bro.
Please make sure you continue to go to other HBCU's as well because this is great insight you are giving to the youth. Definitely check out Alcorn State as well.
Deestroy u always breakin barriers n goin against the "right way" bka the white way... BIG salute to u my boi... Give this man his flowers rn family💪🏾🖤
Travis made the best decision to play for Coach Prime and JSU. He has definitely become the most popular college athlete I’ve ever seen who hasn’t played his first game yet. He and Coach Prime will be on the cover of Sports Illustrated in July. Jackson State has so much talent on its roster and these young men are definitely evening the playing field with these PWIs. I think JSUs 2023 class will rank top 30 nationally. I love it
But his competition will suck. He could have went to a big school and still learned from Sanders eventually
What's PWI?
@@Chris-kk6cw I don’t know y u think his competition wd suck when I seriously doubt that you watch Jackson State football games. How do u figure he wd eventually learn from Coach Prime was he gonna go to JSU football camp once he went pro or something? But it was his decision to play for the best and I wonder y u even care where he went to school. Do you care for all JSU players or something
@@estuder32anthonywayne98 Predominately White Institution’s is what PWI mean
Get off the gas yall act like these pwi's have a monopoly the money will follow the talent. African Americans make up 80 to 85 percent of their teams but less than 10% of student population it won't take much to shift the scale. Pwi's did it to themselves.
This is so dope! Bringing more light to the HBCU!
Travis seems like a good ole country boy that is always working hard at everything he decides to participate in. Super excited to see how well he does this year!
True FL boy
he funny af
Shoutout Deion for the being a real Life coach out there, its more than a game with him and you can see that!
My first peek at one of your videos. Loved it! You are destined for great things, football, football analyst, entrepreneur etc.. God bless!
Them boys in Mississippi always putting in work💪🏾
🔥 I'm a proud Grambling grad, but I love the work JSU is doing over there! Thanks for highlighting this!

@@lanardfletcher1422 that depends on who’s gon put them points up
@@genxsports8486 yeah but the problem is yeah small schools can cash out on a couple of players each cycle but OSU can fill their entire class with NIL.
Can we talk bout camera quality?! W vid dee keep it up🔥💪
I’m definitely bringing the family to Jackson, MS to catch a game and financially support the city by patronizing the local businesses! Coach Prime will do wonders for HBCUs and the city of Jackson, MS!!!
Check out Stamps Super burger...near the JSU campus.
This aged remarkably well. He left it in worse shape than when he arrived.
Crazy how we’ve literally seen a star grow within our own eyes. Travis got me hyped for his future!
My homie Boe Blast has been saying it for the last 5 years. All it would take was one top recruit to go to a Black college and it would change everything. The game is changing y'all.
Hell yeah black on black partnership pow
Been watching for years now it seems. The growth is phenomenal keep the vibe going man
I'm out of shape right now, and this video motivated to start working out again. I used to think you're lucky to go to schools/colleges with facilities like these, now I think that you gotta earn. Maybe one day I'll work my way up to get myself in these areas. Appreciate you Dee
I appreciate prime for the life advice… we need more coaches like that
Man I been saying it, college football as a whole better get ready!!!!!! Prime is straight building something that is gonna be unmatched!!
He got 1 5 star player. JSU still could never compete with the power 5 schools. The kids going to the bigger schools get paid more than Deion why would they go to a JSU ?
Thanks for bringing light upon our area 👏
Bro gotta do Gamedays at HBCUs this fall ofc going to JSU and places like A&T, FAMU, Alcorn and Grambling

Number one take-away for me, is the hunger, desire, commitment, and maturity of Travis Hunter.
I think we can officially put the country on notice; this year, will be "different", at JSU, despite all the great successes last year.
Can't wait!!
he funny afffff bro
Deestroyings production is next level this is fire 🚀
New found respect for these small schools. Prime changing the game for sure. I love my Vols but I'll be keeping up with JSU for sure. Hunter seems to have his head on straight and down to earth. Great video!!
Destroying posting another banger 🔥💯
I really really like this video. Thanks young man.
Hey man that’s a really important message coach gave at the end of practice. He understand some are in a Lamborghini but reach out for help to slow down n switch lanes. That’s huge powerful message and opportunity for some people. I salute you coach!
I makes so happy to see so many good young men on their purpose...Awesome Vid D.
Lets be real WHO WOULDNT WANT TO PLAY FOR THE GREATEST PURE ATHLETE IN NFL HISTORY! Not to mention Prime can say normal words and make the shit hit your soul. I would have been there in a heartbeat
Greatest Pure athlete in NFL history is Bo Jackson. But Deion is definitely the most versatile of all time.
"Normal words" Excellent articulation.
Deion made himself fall to get up better than anyone and has proved caring and love Conquers ALL!
A great athlete doesnt make him a great coach.
@@lanardfletcher1422 Except it's showing that he can coach...

Coach Prime Changing The Game
For the young bulls who DONT KNOW.. Deion Sanders IS The #1 Cornerback of ALL TIME of the NFL. IF NOT... & its a HUGEEEE IF. He is top 3 All time. Just throwing that out there though
Everyone knows 😂
Sanders was and the only shutdown corner in the game.
bro... his name alone sound #1 lol
I think he’s number 2 right behind Woodson. Deion was amazing man to man, I feel like Woodson could do it all a bit better imo. Woodson had the man, zone, could stop the run and tackle.
@@himmothy111 He didn't make alot of business decisions like DS.
