Looking at 10 things I knew when I started CS:GO, and how I would've implemented them if I did know. More of a beginner focused video but hopefully some things here for everyone.

Practice in TDM noob.
1. Don't play predictable angles unless you have an advantage
2. Don't copy pros (counter strats, plays that require great mechanics or great teammates)
3. Don't crutch with awp on ct, try to be confident with rifles too
4. Don't be too predictable round after round.
5. Be willing to re-evaluate your play
6. Movement and crosshair placement > aim
7. Progression will be slow, just go to bed a better player than you woke up each day
8. It's good to learn and understand how to control other spots than your usual routine
9. STOP ONLY PLAYING ONE MAP!!!

@@Ocerry1 what's wrong with it, more accurate, easier spray, cheaper, easier in ears. M4 is more expensive, less accurate, higher ammo, fastest firerate, makes noise. They work on different scenarios. 1s is perfect for flanking or longer engagements because of audio and accuracy. M4 is prefer for closer engagements and can kill multiple enemies faster, aka good to counter rushes
Another tip don’t change your sens and config after every loss

True but it took me about 1000 hours to figure out my preferred sens and config so don’t be afraid to change if you’ve spent plenty of time with a sens and it doesn’t feel natural
another tip i think is that you should generally not make fine adjustments to your sens.
you want the change to be big enough for you to feel, and to spend time training your hand-eye to the new settings, do not fiddle about to fine-tune the setting to your hand-eye.
You can change your sens but don’t change it drastically and stay within a certain range .

Around 10-15 years ago, I wish I knew cs source has recoil in guns, I tried it after playing cod and I was upset using a deagle and thought "these bullets don't go where they should, what a shitty game" as funny as this is, I wish I took some time to understand it, later in life I fell in love with cs go and I understood the skill behind the game, I wish I played it since I was a kid.
I would say that was the game's fault rather than your own. CSGO is lucky it has such a big community behind it; otherwise it does nothing to teach its mechanics to the players.

yea honestly I love many different genres in gaming but when it comes to fps, CSGO is eternal. In 2020 and this year it went back to become my go to game again when I come back from work, 1, 2 games almost everyday. No fps can hold me that long.

literally just started to re-learn this game & your videos are amazing at helping i am hard stuck silver 1 i try to play the game as often as i can always willing to learn a new nade line-up or timing maybe someday i'll reach silver 2 lol

Back then I was lucky enough to buy a deagle blaze off the steam market for 14€ or something close to that, because "I liked the flames and stuff".
Had I actually understood the concept of "rare skins" back then, I would've bought way more than just one...
Considering they are worth more than 400€ each now, I missed out on a lot of profits :/
What you say at 4:30 is something esport influencers/coaches need to think about when they give advice online.
People oversimplify games when they imply stuff works 100% of the time.
i watched this because im starting to play CS, im a GC in rocket league(top 1%) and i was even able to apply some things you said in the video to some ideas for when i plateau in rocket league. this is super solid
I think you could have gone into more details about what your strategies depend on:
* Your skills
* Your teammates angles
* The utility being thrown by both teams
* Your opponents' strategies
And then all of those things are probabilistic in a match, which makes your choices probabilistic. For instance, if you're playing solo matchmaking, how confident you can be in your teammate holding a particular angle (how well), and how consistently (likelihood of bailling), is going to vary. You have to read your team in addition to the other team
A strat is going to be good or bad depending on a lot of situational things - if you can't/don't read those things, then it's going to be confusing what makes a play successful or not

When i first started playing i never understood how much warmup and practicing helps
I never warm up, but im glad they added a small warm up time in ever match being queued up.
i have never really figured out how to improve at cs, ive been stuck in nova for 5 years

to be honest unless you are playing something else then pug which you dont, on t site you just go foward ask for flash maybe and kill its honestly the best thing - easy 1v1 fights and enemy is never ready for it / Edit works on mirage only but you are not playing other maps anyways
After discovering voo's second channel where he talks shit, trolls, and just has a good time seeing regular "professional" voo feels weird.

Biggest thing for me atm. I want nothing more to just play the game but whenever I try I just end up demotivated and I dunno, maybe anxious. Its a strange feeling. Wanting to play something, having nothing stop you but still feeling like you cant. I have no idea whats wrong with me lol. A mental problem or something. Its not that im bad or anything I just. Dunno, I feel bad whenever I don't top frag and it puts me off the game so hard
kinda same for me. I have 3K hours already, but right now cs for me is rather depressing. I have de-installed it like 5 times this summer.

if one strat works repeat it until it doesn't work anymore. however, be ready with an alternative one (plan B, C, D...).
No hate, love the videos and I take all the help I can get, but in the awning CT side part, at what rank exactly do you think people don't know how to properly use utility? Because I'm silver three and generally play as an awper, And silver's flash the shit out of me. While I'll agree that it's common to see four out of the 10 players on a server with almost zero utility usage at the end of a match on a silver game there's always at least one to two people per side who are using a ton of utility. And most times the entire team is using a lot of utility effectively. I feel like CS:GO has come such a long way in the world that you're really not going to run into people very often or often enough at any rank that you can skate by without having to use counter utility or knowing how to avoid utility. Just my two cents at a low rank

Negev is the second option, rush it.

im a league player and the map is everything I tend to watch the map than my crosshair
I've forced myself to not use awp as I learn csgo for that exact reason that awp builds bad mindsets in new players. It's insane seeing 2+ awps on the enemy team because it shows how much they rely on one gun to get anything done and once it goes to an eco or force for them, they're screwed

i'm pretty sure there are too many variables to have perfect plays in cs.
if nothing else a play that worked last match/round has a good chance of being countered hard in the next match/round, 's basically impossible NOT to get crushed if your opp knows what yr doing, so if you do it once & it works, it probably won't work if you go try it again.

11th thing is to download a skinchanger because skins makes game more fun and interesting to play and I know most of u guys are not so rich so skinchanger is a great option to become pro 👍🙃

they have to be pretty damned close. in theory yes. in practice they almost never will.
if they are close enough to hear it: you are definitely too close for you to be scoping in ^^

I‘ve got a question concerning my leetify stats: I am currently in MG1 and mostly solo queue. According to the stats, I am better in any discipline than the average MG2, except at crosshair placement. Apperently, I suck at my crosshair placement. No doubt, I definitely need to improve but I wonder why my time to damage is so low then. My time to damage is even 3ms faster than the average Supreme. Is it possible, that my crosshair placement isn‘t optimal (because of AI, statistics and data) but is rather good concerning my own abilities? Meaning my time to damage is so low because I know that I don‘t react very well, my ping isn‘t that great either, I know the speed of my computer and so on... so because I know that, I don‘t position my crosshair where other people do, but it somehow works for me, right?
No doubt, still need to train and improve a lot, just wondering. Thanks in advance!

@@ChraToooX yeah i like the yprac maps, you should check them out if you haven't already.
I noticed there is a bit of a correlation between game speed and crosshair placement (cp). If you have a lot of fast paced games and flicking then your placement will be bad. When the games are slow, especially after first engament, then good crosshair placement is usually a sign of clearing corners properly. Also, you are solo queuing which I guess means you have to 360° more than once because your team forgot about the flank incoming or didn't communicate a player above/below/behind/to the side of you, which then again leads to flicking. (CP is calculated from the degrees your crosshair has to move from the present point to the opponent)
As above posters said prefire practice helps, however, they only give you an idea about the most common angles, and are "less" useful for fast games.
Generally, when I had games against people 3 or 4 ranks below me (welcome CS matchmaking algorithm), my crosshair placement was bad, because I could just run and gun. Against players at the same level or higher the cp was very good, because otherwise one loses.
@@sciencefliestothemoon2305 Yeah, that makes a lot of sense actually. I generally like leetify and find it very useful comparing statistics with other ranks, but CP and the way it is measured doesn't seem to be too useful tho. Ofc it is good to have a starting point on whether or not your CP is bad oder very good, but it doesn't take every different situation into account (just as you said, flicking, wrong/no calls etc.). Anyway, thanks for the practicing tip as well!

I heard "beginner video" and thought I don't classify myself as a beginner anymore. So I will instead take this as a test to see if I already know about the points and more importantly - if I am effectively doing it in the game when appropriate.

Don't invest in skins or any other virtual items in game that's not absolutely necessary(like prime for free users). Rather buy something good for yourself, eat something good. 😀

The moment when everyone is doing tutorials but back then in CS 1.6 we didn't have tutorials and learned by playing and still managed to get professional ;)

Best way to get out of silver is to stop complaining and learning the game at your own pace over time
best way to rank up is to build up a team and avoid public teams with random people at all cost. Believe me that's where your rank is at. I only play with random people and I am constantly getting bounced between sillvers and master gardian upper ranks. I am ok with it I don t play for competitive end goal but to enjoy 1-2 hours after work, the ranks don't bother me I understand I am potentially a solid master elite and that's enough for my ego. Also it's kinda fun to lead silver players and teach by showing them how communication and synchronization, make good use of the mini map makes all the difference, feels more rewarding to watch them apply team work properly than actually winning games.
