Just wanted to say thanks, Voo. These videos have made me a better player, and I am currently working on getting to level 6 on Faceit. Thanks for all of these demos, and detailed videos on things such as utility usage and positioning.
@@stefanf5186 same here, solo q is just a gamble on whether or not you're going to have a good team. I just can't get out of lvl 6 because of shit teammates. Usually I go on a 4 win streak and after that on a 5 loss streak. My individual skills arent good enough to carry myself out of lvl 6 so yeah prob gonna be stuck here for another 500 hours
@@abyss1997 I managed to solo q to level 8 but deranked to lvl 6 again. Found some mates to play with though we're gonna grind faceit I should be able to get lvl 8-9 in relatively few matches.
I love how ive been playing this game for years and have over thousands of hours yet you make me think of things Ive never thought about before like playing for the frag instead of playing for the site
Tbh a lot of players face the same problem because of ego mostly. Frags that are low impact dont mean a lot but can make you think you are good player causr u have 20 kills on unsuspecting rotating players even tho u lose the match
Great Video! Can you make a detailed video on Teamwork and how to actually play as a team, as CS is a team based game. How to hlep your team, and stuff.
My issue right now is playing too aggressively and taking peaks that aren't really necessary. For example, I was playing on Mirage last night as T in a 2v4 situation. My buddy was in palace with an awp and I was stuck under scaffolding with an ak. I took the first peak and took out 2 players, then I repeaked and took out the 3rd player. Unfortunately, I got too cocky and tried to peak the last player and take him out; I got killed and my buddy soon after. Realistically, I shouldn't have repeaked after killing the first two players, especially since I didn't have any info on where the other 2 players were (even though they all were connector, stairs, and jungle). If I had held back and played a bit more passive to hold the angle and delay for the bomb, we would have won the round and hence the game (we tied). Small mistakes like this can end up losing rounds and I need to work on switching those playstyles. I tend to sometimes get hyper focused on one playstyle or role that I stop being fluid and malleable. This only happens sometimes; I'm usually very good at playing with my team and giving support.
I get that you are flexing your aim. But my question is what was your buddy doing? If you peeked did he also peek in case you died? Did you try to reposition? Could you? Also any nades left?
You peaking isn't a mistake unless you did it on your own For the most part 2v1s are very simple play very aggressive and be in position to trade or play after plant so going for another kill isn't an unnecessary risk just because an idea fails doesn't mean it's a bad idea maybe just one executed poorly
@@rob_e_cop7128 Nah my aim was just meh, they were just peaking out so I sprayed them down. Both of us had no utility and it would be have been way too dangerous to try and leave my position under scaffolding; I had no info on where the other 2 were. I didn't want to just risk dying unnecessarily without having a chance to take one down with me. And he holding stairs from palace while I was taking the fight from jungle. The opponent quickly made it to stairs before my buddy was able to agress. He jiggled and killed him after losing us the round. I don't blame him since it would have been easier as a 2v2 rather than a 1v1
@@VanquishR your job as the rifler is to be the response; the awper should take the first contact. That's what the awp is good for, first contact, while AK is better for responding. The fact he was playing passive in palace is his fault. You did everything you could.
I appreciate your posts. I played cevo-im and cal-im 15 years ago. I just got back into cs, and csgo is a completely different animal. Slowly learning this version of my beloved counter strike
These things are so obvious, but usually no one tries to get better and smarter. Everyone does stupid things and never blame themselves. It's their teammates who messed up in the round, so they don't even try to analyze the game and the round(
Another thing people should learn is accurate prefires and crosshair lineups B site on inferno is great for CTs if you through a counter smoke after CT was smoked, people like to hide in the corners past sand bags and if you line up your crosshair to the corners and spray or wallbang the edge through the smoke with awp you can get an easy frag and cause a rotate or delay the push
You should mention that learning to read radar is very important in solo queue where communication is very poor. In lower ranks this will improve your awareness and makes it easier to read enemies.
voo, i have been playing csgo for 2 years now with 2000+ hours. i started out at silver 1 and have been always improving to master guardian elite today but recently i feel like my skill is capped. ive watch countless educational videos and pro games and always remembering your words while i play but i realise ive always been bottom fragging recently. yes killing enemies isnt all there is to csgo but it is a essential part of csgo to be able to click on their head before they click on yours. do you have any advice?
Take a break from competitive for a week and work on your fundamentals. Watch pros play pub games. Go watch your last few matches and keep a tally of the mechanical things that have been getting you killed and work on those weaknesses. When you play DM/aimbotz pretend you're in an actual gunfight instead of just going for 1 taps.
I think game sense is something that cant really be taught. I think you did a great job to explain how to improve faster. But the only way to get better game sense is to experience a scenario thousands of times and learn from mistakes. At some point you will just have a feeling on what to do and what you shouldnt do. Sorry if there are any mistakes in the text above, english isnt my mother tongue.
hyper focusing is what annoys me so much in gn2, I get spotted and then all of a sudden then entire team is rushing me down without checking any of the other angles and it happens my team mates miss all their shots from those angles so i die....
If you are gonna be the only one defending a site then you gotta use utility, for example if the enemies are in long throw a damn molotov on these fuckers, you would know if there are enemies there due to the long flashbangs they usually throw, so not only you are stoping a rush, you will get info and potentially hurt an enemy or two, might sound like an obvious tip but then again people say gn isnt so different than silver and i can confirm no one does that in silver.
May I suggest you make a video going more into depth about adapting and reading your opponents? I feel like that's an important skill, but no one really talks about it too much.
Want to know how to focus? find an object or a wall of similar distance away from your monitor. Next, focus and unfocus your eyesight (you can think of this as clear -> blurry -> clear). After doing this for 20 seconds or so you should be prepared to play. Bonus points if you combine meditation and this tactic before you start to play.
