AWP is by far the most overpowered sniper out of any video game I have ever played, one shot kill to any part of the body with a quick scope in time and 10 rounds in the mag.....Like holy crap, at least nerf the magazine size to 4 or 5
It's not overpowered. It's 4750 and that's a big investment. Strong weapon for sure but it's much easier to punish an awper for a mistake than punish a mistake from a rifler. It's OP in lower levels because they don't know how to make them uncomfortable.
It's a high risk high reward weapon You make a mistake you'll pay for it. It is op in the hands of an expert sniper who knows his way around I'll say auto sniper is rather op
AWP is still the easiest most dominant weapon because of how they gave it meaningless or downright double edged nerfs Like nerfing the speed just makes it more accurate while moving because you don't reach a speed that affects it in any meaningful way, specially if you're just crouching while moving All while a lot of weapons fall down into actual meme categories because of how downright awful their stats are
Watched this video, got excited to go apply it in a comp match, got stuck with a 4 stack of smurfs who spammed slurs and coordinated screaming all at the same time over vc :)
Voo, i appreciate a lot of the tips on this video, but the one that starts at around 8:30 about not hesitating and going for the trade is not consistent at all, because of quickscopes, no-scopes and all sorts of movement tricks to make you miss shots until he is able to shoot again. An awper can no-scope surprisingly quickly after taking the first shot, and since it's close range, it's fairly accurate. You can see that in pro matches all day. And quickscopes are also very quick, taking 1s for them to shoot again, if you don't quickswitch, again this can be seen in pro matches, awp kills one, someone quickly goes to trade, hits 3 shots only to get quickscoped, if you're not with an AK chances are that you'll just do damage, but die. You have 1 second to: React to the fact the the awp killed someone, which if you're against good awpers, they won't be one dimensional and will often catch someone when you're busy giving info or lining utility or giving cover to flanks and whatnot, run to trade and kill him. This is a surprisingly short time. Also, the examples you gave about that are really awkward the awp at 8:36 just stares at the wall before repeeking, realistically he would either go hug the wall to force a hard clear for the T and give him some time, or he will try to retreat while someone is giving cover, or would peek with their weapon facing the angle instead of just making the crosshair in an awkward position to flick. The one at 9:17 is also weird because the position does not make sense to be in without any cover, what you'll see is someone holding close to the bombsite wall to retreat, and he also sticks around in the angle, when if he knows he is pinned he would hug the wall to force a hard clear and jump around to make you miss. And in all the examples the trade is extremely close, as if he is expecting the awper to be there to kill someone. Realistically and against more experience awpers, you would not be able to be that ready for an agressive position. And even if you're fast you peek and get quicksoped or no-scoped, this kinds of trades are a lot more 50/50 than what it appears.
All these situations rely on more than one player. Despite the jiggle on cadian you sort of forgot to mention the concept of jiggling which is common at a higher level, also in 1on1 situations either to gain info, push awps off spot or set off their timing. I don't think the concept is very difficult to comprehend nor execute with a bit of practice and could elevate a lot of players level against awpers. Other than that great vid :)
yo voo i literally love you. youre clearly very good and knowledgeable at CS and your videos are informative AF. thanks for the content from a silver 1 with 1000 + hours
i actually say that for my noob mate which peek mid and get himself killed which itself puts us in a difficult position (even tho hes noob but we can use him as a clickbait lol)
at 1:40 i don't think he doesn't try to fight or kill, he is buying time for his teamates on A and pinning the rotate, yes his fake wasn't good because he overcomited some but overall i think it's a great idea just baddly executed
It's definitely possible that's what he was thinking, but the execution is so far from reasonable that it's hard to really attribute it to that necessarily. In this type of scenario either the rifler is CT in which case he (ungbomo) dies (and the rotate is even faster because they instantly know it's a fake), or the rifler is site in which case the rotate being delayed is almost fully irrelevant since the A site hit will have more or less played out win or lose by the time a rotate would get there.
Love the edits every time showing what if's. As for the commentary while it's on-point there needs to be more said on SMGs and flanking. This video's great for discussing head-on approaches but the best strat will always be to shoot them in the back or sides, including by jumping around getting there if they're underneath. Usually a 5 team will have 1 awp, meaning only one site will be guarded by it and there's always a path to leak into the other way. If they have 2 or more AWPs then it's definitely a problem when lacking utils but that's it. Most games will have 1 and the best approach is avoidance or bombardment.
Reason why awp is overpowered: You need another awper to counter him. Wallbang from miles away. 1 shot kill. Can be used as shotgun. You need another teammate so to trade an awper. Cant duel with awper.
This is some good editing ya love to see it, even though i think know these things i still watch these videos cuz its nice to see you explain and show what you mean at the same time, paints a clear picture
(Will edit as I watch, because I want to deal with stupid AWP'ers) 1:46 I know your tutotrials are awesome, the point to stay and try to get a kill at B was to hold the CT's at B while his teammates take A 3v3.
So, to shorten it: Snipers have limited DPS, so you have to take advantage of that by neutralizing during cooldown, raiding as multiple players, or using the awper's cover time to take an advantageous position out of sight and then making his task more difficult. Keep in mind that a good sniper will know when to retreat, so don't expect them to stick around
At 1:25 youre saying that jiggeling isnt a Option, but whats up with shoulderpeeking? IMO its one of the best ways to bate a shot, swing and kill an AWP easily.
What about the quick switch to pistol that I have seen done. I have seen awpers shoot and fire their pistol faster than the timing between 2 awp shots.
At 3:00 you said that you can peek into the angle as the awper is on cooldown but then you then say at 4:38 that delaying an extra half second can make awper doubt and go wide I'm a little confused about what to do then, since both timings of a peek can work. What is the difference between peeking late and going in one by one? I'm not sure what Ungbomo's team did wrong with this in mind - they either peeked early and stood at the angle to get shot, or they peeked late but the awper didn't doubt and they walked into his crosshair. What do I take away from this particular bit of the video? It did certainly help to understand the details of being off-axis when peeking and using utility. I don't think the first five minutes are useful without the context at the 10 minute mark though.
I've found that using the extended scope cooldown feature helps when I'm awping, especially having it on a toggle. I switch it on when I'm holding a fine angle like arches on inferno or from bottom con to top mid on mirage, helps to see if people have crossed.
Nice Video! But i still feel like the Awp's downtime should be slightly increased, its just too powerfull if u can just repeek 1 sec after you miss a shot. U should get punished more for missing with an awp.
Voo what is the counter to someone moving off axis? Do you have to be able to predict that and slow peek clearing out the angles to avoid getting killed quickly or is it better to fall back / not re-peek?
I dont know why but ever since i started player i've always been shitting on awpers when i got smg in hand, i guess that extra mobility they provide makes it a little bit easier to peek in ways that awpers wont be getting ez shots
(Real person with a skin problem here) Dmarket looks so sketchy but it's cheaper than bitskins and skinbaron, the selection can be a bit limited though
@@DMarket_YT A lot of the user interface is in Russian or broken English, sometimes it takes a bit to translate over. For example with gloves or high-demand skins like the Vulcan in Factory New, there are only a handful left which makes sense. The trade-up prices are pretty poor but if I have cash and want a decent skin, dmarket probably has the same or cheapest price for it
Conclusion, there’re 5 ways. 1.snap peak bait their 1st shot 2.flash him then do timing 3.smoke their ways 4.runboost across the scope 5.let team bait for you. Then you can survive the awp
Played against annoying awpers recently on mirage. They would push with 2-3 awps on B. After the game leetify showed that one of their players had 3.88° crosshair placement (across 19frags). Which seems to be far better than even the best top 30 players get on average and far beyond what I ever saw in my rank (lowest is maybe 8 or 9). So is that something down to awping, like no flicks or someone cheating at 2am in faceit?
it would be very late to response, but my crosshair placement is like that. I got 6,5 degree average and I even hit 3 degrees sometimes. I checked it from leetify also.
What's necessary to counter an awper: rocket science to reduce the chance of him missing a shot by 1%. What's necessary to be an awper: stay still and hit a single shot anywhere above the legs.
Having multiple teammates go 1v1 against enemy player just straight up pisses me off. Most of the time the enemy player just gets a multi-kill with no sweat.
going up against one awp is easily manageable. it's when there are 3 or more it starts to get out of hand and they become overpowered. it's almost impossible to move up as a T when all three angles are scoped in on as by that point you have to have perfect 1 taps and know exact positions of all three to get anywhere. good luck if you have anything less than an ak or deagle otherwise there'll be a lot of screaming HE'S DINKED!!!! 92 in 1!!!
More than 2 awpers in ct is a big No No there is a reason why pro players don't have more than 2 awp in there team bcuz a smg rush can easily punish 3 awpers, u can't really be aggressive with awp bcuz there is little to no chance to multi kill with awp compare to rifles and while u fall back with awp u r pretty much a moving mannequin u can't fight back sure u might surprise ts with a 3 awp setup but it won't work next round cuz they exactly know how to counter 3 awps unless u r playing matchmaking
The AWP is OP tho. Especially in pugs. A good awper can entirely shut down a route of comparably skilled riflers. I think the game would be more fun if awp got removed.
I remember on cobblestone I knew there was an awper holding an angle so I jumped across and baited him to shoot then I instantly got into the angle and got him when he repeaked. He was very mad about it.

Problem with jiggle is if they have an insane reaction speed you might die.

yo voo i literally love you. youre clearly very good and knowledgeable at CS and your videos are informative AF. thanks for the content from a silver 1 with 1000 + hours

I hate it when my teammates just say "don't peek awp mid"
Just double peek mid or flash before peeking. And i still think it's a good idea to dry peek awpers, if u know the prefire spot.
i actually say that for my noob mate which peek mid and get himself killed which itself puts us in a difficult position (even tho hes noob but we can use him as a clickbait lol)
at 1:40 i don't think he doesn't try to fight or kill, he is buying time for his teamates on A and pinning the rotate, yes his fake wasn't good because he overcomited some but overall i think it's a great idea just baddly executed
@@vooCSGO i see, thank's for your though on that play. continue your good work your videos are some of the best.
When are the streams coming back brooo
should be streaming again in the next few days (mixer finally fixed)
Love the edits every time showing what if's. As for the commentary while it's on-point there needs to be more said on SMGs and flanking. This video's great for discussing head-on approaches but the best strat will always be to shoot them in the back or sides, including by jumping around getting there if they're underneath. Usually a 5 team will have 1 awp, meaning only one site will be guarded by it and there's always a path to leak into the other way. If they have 2 or more AWPs then it's definitely a problem when lacking utils but that's it. Most games will have 1 and the best approach is avoidance or bombardment.
i just started practice awp, great timing for this video!
Very well made video, with good example scenarios
Intro scared me for some reason
Reason why awp is overpowered:
You need another awper to counter him.
Wallbang from miles away.
1 shot kill.
Can be used as shotgun.
You need another teammate so to trade an awper.
Cant duel with awper.
So many good tips here that I would struggle to explain. Many players I play with could benefit from not being hesitant.
This is some good editing ya love to see it, even though i think know these things i still watch these videos cuz its nice to see you explain and show what you mean at the same time, paints a clear picture
nobody gonna talk about how funny that intro was lol , Voo you had me do a double take at my screen lmfao
12:50 damn that exec was beautyfull
(Will edit as I watch, because I want to deal with stupid AWP'ers) 1:46 I know your tutotrials are awesome, the point to stay and try to get a kill at B was to hold the CT's at B while his teammates take A 3v3.
So, to shorten it: Snipers have limited DPS, so you have to take advantage of that by neutralizing during cooldown, raiding as multiple players, or using the awper's cover time to take an advantageous position out of sight and then making his task more difficult. Keep in mind that a good sniper will know when to retreat, so don't expect them to stick around

Yoooo the stop posting among us memes guy makes csgo tutorials!
lmao
FINALLY I NEEDED THIS AS S RIFLER
At 1:25 youre saying that jiggeling isnt a Option, but whats up with shoulderpeeking? IMO its one of the best ways to bate a shot, swing and kill an AWP easily.
This was really good I must say. I had no idea about any of this before.
AWPers HATE this guy
The AWP needs to have a 5 round mag and rechamber a round SLIGHTLY slower by like 20%.
No lol
The Prophet
AWP so OP you need all these elaborate tricks to play around it and even then it mostly involves baiting a team mate
There were no frames between cadiaN's movement to the head of that first guy. That is some funky shi brotha I tell you what.
What about the quick switch to pistol that I have seen done. I have seen awpers shoot and fire their pistol faster than the timing between 2 awp shots.
At 3:00 you said that you can peek into the angle as the awper is on cooldown but then you then say at 4:38 that delaying an extra half second can make awper doubt and go wide
I'm a little confused about what to do then, since both timings of a peek can work.
I don't think the first five minutes are useful without the context at the 10 minute mark though.
very helpful video, thankyou
THANK YOU this was so good i knew my problem. When my teamate got killed i basically baited him cuz i was scared now i can get insant trades
Imagine not being able to figure out yourself that the best time to peek an awper is immidiately after it fired a shot...
Did you know that not everyone can be smart at starting
I've found that using the extended scope cooldown feature helps when I'm awping, especially having it on a toggle. I switch it on when I'm holding a fine angle like arches on inferno or from bottom con to top mid on mirage, helps to see if people have crossed.
Very good video thanks for the content
Nice Video! But i still feel like the Awp's downtime should be slightly increased, its just too powerfull if u can just repeek 1 sec after you miss a shot. U should get punished more for missing with an awp.
Agreed
Voo what is the counter to someone moving off axis? Do you have to be able to predict that and slow peek clearing out the angles to avoid getting killed quickly or is it better to fall back / not re-peek?
The “hey” at the beginning sounds like Anna psychology from TH-cam lol😂
I didn’t know you had an AWP prince
Tips I needed
i still think the awp is a bit overpowered :D just do the mag down to 5 or 6 and it would be pperfect :D

thanks for this content
I dont know why but ever since i started player i've always been shitting on awpers when i got smg in hand, i guess that extra mobility they provide makes it a little bit easier to peek in ways that awpers wont be getting ez shots
intro really got me
hello vooooo man I hope u have a great day !
when you are playing against s1mple it wont help
To learn the way of the awp, you have to learn how to destroy an awper
I agree with this. To be good with the AWP, you have to know the weaknesses of the AWP
(Real person with a skin problem here)
Dmarket looks so sketchy but it's cheaper than bitskins and skinbaron, the selection can be a bit limited though
Why do you think so? =(
Its legit I bought and sold skins there
@@DMarket_YT A lot of the user interface is in Russian or broken English, sometimes it takes a bit to translate over.
The best tutorial yet
80ms ping already is hard to play against. The AWPer's model is barely out of cover when the bullet hits me.
Next video: How to destroy everyone with an AWP
Thanks Donald
Played against annoying awpers recently on mirage. They would push with 2-3 awps on B. After the game leetify showed that one of their players had 3.88° crosshair placement (across 19frags). Which seems to be far better than even the best top 30 players get on average and far beyond what I ever saw in my rank (lowest is maybe 8 or 9). So is that something down to awping, like no flicks or someone cheating at 2am in faceit?
it would be very late to response, but my crosshair placement is like that. I got 6,5 degree average and I even hit 3 degrees sometimes. I checked it from leetify also.
I just try to close the distance by any means then it gets a lot easier they have only one shot.
I only got 3 with me
1. Flashbang
2. Confidence
3. Aim
Today killed an awper with shoulder peek with degale
What's necessary to counter an awper: rocket science to reduce the chance of him missing a shot by 1%.
What's necessary to be an awper: stay still and hit a single shot anywhere above the legs.
can someone tell me what the crosshair is in the austin clips
Now where are the secrets to awping
stop scope flick fire
I am using this video to avoid losing as an AWPER HAHAHA
don't miss lol

Tip to destroy AWPers every time #1 - Just be a better awper.
It works for me idk about you all but it works in global and faceit lvl 9
Having multiple teammates go 1v1 against enemy player just straight up pisses me off. Most of the time the enemy player just gets a multi-kill with no sweat.
Prefire negev go brrr brrr
before i see the video the fake peek first solution :3
going up against one awp is easily manageable. it's when there are 3 or more it starts to get out of hand and they become overpowered. it's almost impossible to move up as a T when all three angles are scoped in on as by that point you have to have perfect 1 taps and know exact positions of all three to get anywhere. good luck if you have anything less than an ak or deagle otherwise there'll be a lot of screaming HE'S DINKED!!!!
@@mememan9006 Lol, we're not talking proplay here we're talking MM.
The AWP is OP tho. Especially in pugs. A good awper can entirely shut down a route of comparably skilled riflers. I think the game would be more fun if awp got removed.
bro, i like heard half a second and instantly clicked go back button, but i my opera wasn't fast enough so i could hear you
someone link this to spinx ty
Another way... just Ferrari peek it, done
thanks
I remember on cobblestone I knew there was an awper holding an angle so I jumped across and baited him to shoot then I instantly got into the angle and got him when he repeaked. He was very mad about it.
Bro you wrote that like it is something that happened to you once in real life :dd
