  • Hello guys~
    This time, I made a video about making card slots. When we make a wallet, we have to decide what type of card slot should we add on that wallet.
    I demonstrated the most frequently used 3 types of card section.
    I hope this video is informative to you.
    I'm going to show you various works in the future.
    Subscribe my channel, and get information.
    Thank you.
    See you soon guys~

    Thank you so much for a concise explanation. About 4 years ago I intended to design a wallet with certain functions but had troubles finding this exact piece of information in my planning. Time to start that project.

    what glue do you use to glue the fabric in the last part?

    • @kkomedacolour
      @kkomedacolour  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It was korean glue, not famous. But what i can say is that adhesion is a lot better when you use rubber based glue like kenda glue than water based one. I mean for fabric. Thank you for watching my video!!^^

  • @stanislavleather200
    @stanislavleather200 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, my question is, why do you use thick leather in the second option? Indeed, to work with a turn, you need a thickness of 0.4-0.6 mm

    • @kkomedacolour
      @kkomedacolour  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you're totally right. I remember that I skived the folding part as thin as I can. Thank you for watching my video!^^

    Nice. I need an advice. I only have skiving knife, I don't have a skiving machine so I can only make card slots with my limited level of thickness from the factory. Is it good to skive the leather in every edges to make it looks thin?

    • @kkomedacolour
      @kkomedacolour  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I think that it's up to you. For me, i skive edges because if i do stitching is easier. And looking thin is not always better i think. Many creators don't skive edges.

    • @damarsantosa1115
      @damarsantosa1115 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      How about using french edger to skive a panel?is it effective?I'm planning to buy palosanto edger size 12

    • @Tzazilas
      @Tzazilas 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@damarsantosa1115 yes, french skivers are very useful for this job and super easy to use. You can get some cheap ones from ebay to learn how to use em. With good and frequent stropping they do the job like pro tools. I've also bought palosanto size 12 skiver and it's on its way now.

    what glue that work well for you? did you use PVAC glue or Contact Cement?

    • @kkomedacolour
      @kkomedacolour  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Well, I usually use water based glue called saibinol or shoe goo. I think they are not super adhesive, but enough to hold card slot. And also, they have flexibility. (Oh, when I use saibinol, I apply heat)

    • @dhanysoegieharto6982
