Breakdown of Greg Mirzoyan skating in Istanbul. Greg is an amazing city/urban/freeride skater. He travels the world interacting with uban environments on his inline skates.
Can you do a How to throw things in a bin like Greg Mirzoyan breakdown?
Whoa! That is too creative.
Nice one Shaun, I just saw this 🙂🙂🙂
Oh what! Thanks Greg. I have so many people come into my shop because they have watched you skate. Keep rolling.
Hi... Sir I have to buy rollerblade
Great job, buddy. His landing is really awesome when he gets the energy from that and use it to increase speed.
oh man, yeah we truly see eye to eye. i absolutely so in tune with gmdiaries, big fan of it.. exactly, it is not just a stunt video but a travel, an adventure. its so much fun as well ! it's different everywhere. i'm looking forward to get my metroblades soon too.
Excellent choice of skates. Rollerblade did a great job with those skates.
At 8:27 you talk about how he on the inside edge and bubbles out to absorb the landing. I noticed that Alex Broskow uses the inside edge of just one foot when landing a grind-to-spin. this happens when he lands both forward and fakie but not on the highest impact stuff. I wonder if it's just for style...
The videos are great! Dustin Werbeski would be a very interesting guy to analyze for one of these things. He pushes all the techniques to the extreme!
Great insight. Alex Broskow has amazing landings. Dustin Werbeski is such an amazing skater. I first meet Dustin when he was only 12 years old. He has always had a unique style and perspective on skating.
Love all these vids! These breakdown videos are unique and very valuable to a skater like me who is trying to become a better skater. Thanks!
My pleasure. not only do I love to skate but I am also a big fan of inline skating. There is so much to learn from watching different skaters.
Please breakdown backward for beginner and backward+crossover for intermediate. Thanks
I will.
Thank you for the support.
Hey thanks for exposing people to Greg. He is an awesome skater.
Hi man, pretty cool videos admire your passion. I fell in love with skating and browsing the internet a lot and I'm a bit wonder why your videos don't have more views. I think they totally deserve it. I don't know if would be better category Sport instead People and Blogs, or more tags, also used a word rollerblades as people search it under inline as well as rollerblades. I want to move to Barcelona and Greg told me that he can go with me and show me some spots, so I'm really looking forward to it! Amazing skater. Also, Greg does amazing "magic" stops in high speed, I think he has much more control and stability than with parallel stops.
Thanks brother. I am still figuring out youtube. I didn't realize that my channel was categorized as People and Blogs. I will be sure to change it. I have done a little research about using tags so I plan on going through old videos and updating using tags.
Is the "magic" slide a powerslide on both inside edges?
awesome video this was very informative is there more to come? I would like to get more of these even for other skaters
and greg is so fucking awesome I love the skating of this guy
More to come! Any suggestions?
Today I found this site mushroomblading.com/videos.php where they often do style which I never seen before, funny mix between agressive and urban, sliding on urban skates etc. also Richie Eisler is amazing or aggresive Franky Morales, Brian Aragon, Dustin Latimer. Cheers
Of course mushroomblading! I have know Joey and Todd for close to 20 years. They are incredible people on and off the blades. I am going to be seeing them in about a week. I will be sure to do some filming.
yeah I agree their style is incredible also I would like to see dustin werberski and Leon Basin they are both so good
Agreed. Huge fan of both of then.
C Jan - are you a Canadian skater?
Great idea for a video series! You mentioned a few of GM''s defining moves - for me his magic slide / stop is the Holy Grail, allows him to bomb anything safe in the knowledge he can dump speed and stop within about 5-10m, maybe you could show some of those in your next one? cheers, Sam
Thanks for the positive vibes.
Is the magic slide you are referring to a forward powerslide on both inside edges?
th-cam.com/video/8xwOkoQuhwU/w-d-xo.html
Something like this?
Hey man, you should do more of these! analyzing skaters techniques
Will do! Any suggestions?
well, Leon would be nice. He has a really particular flow and style.
Agreed Leon is the man. I will be skating with him this weekend. I will be sure to record some skating and get some insight from the Wizard himself.
Hej Shaun, I saw you subscribe to the Authenticrollerblade channel like a few hours after GM Diaries 3 was published (where Greg says at the end that we should subscribe). So I figured you subscribed for the same reason as I did just a few minutes before you :) Greg is amazing, and this breakdown was long overdue! Really a great idea on your part. P. S. I love the video where he rips through Paris, I think that's one of his best. And thank you for your great videos too!
You got it Jack. I was inspired by Greg Mirzoyan to subscribe after watching that video! I will have to add the Greg in Paris the playlist.
Thanks for the nice comments.
Hey, buddy, how about doing an analysis of Sven Boekhorst, he's a great skater.
Congrats on the videos.
greetings from Brazil!
I love Sven. That dude is amazing for his incredible skating and longevity.
Hi Shawn I would like to buy the blue and white seba skates that you have hanging on the wall. How can I order them?
Hello!!! I'm from Brasil!!!
I like your videos...
I don't speak english but i'm learn...
I like see your videos
I learn...
Hey man, I’m still trying to magic slide.... I’m kinda half doing it but its not right. Where can I send you a vid so you can see and help me out? :)
Nice video choice. From Istanbul/ Turkey :)
Crazy guy!
It would be sick if you could analyze Timmy v. Rixtel's style/form. He's in the Rollerblade 80 mm series. He's one of the main reasons why I started skating.
Cool! I will check him out. Thank you.
Awesome, thanks!
I am watching some of his skating now. Wow, he is very impressive.
Yup! Hope to get like that someday!
These are fun!
I love to skate and I love watching skate videos.
once he said that le parkeur helped him a lot with the jumping technique
Good insight. Inline skating and parkour can combine in really interesting ways.
what are good starter skates? currently in doubting between rollerblade Twister or the Seba fr1 :S
I'm really happy with Twister. Also was considering Seba, I guess both are pretty good.
I agree with Slejdy. Both are really good skates. The Seba FR1s have a few features that the Twisters do not. For instance the aluminum base plate in the Seba FR1 is a great feature. Your best bet is to try both skates on and go with the one that provides a better fit.
Thank you both! I will have to try them both then, anyway keep up the good movies! They are really helpfull! If you need a new topics for a video, would like to see some tips and tricks on keeping ur skates good though. Cleaning? Can i skate them in the rain, what are the consequences? What do i have to check when switching wheels and what is a good moment to switch them? Just an all in informational video about how to treat your skates properly!
Looking to buy the metroblade GMs & cant find them ANYWHERE. Do you guys ship out to NJ, USA?
We do.
so good
Mmm greeeat stuff!
There’s no “A” in “Illusion”! Love these videos though Shaun.
I might have been referring to an type of spin called an allusion. But I am also an dummy so....
By the way would those hockey stops/wheel slides not cause flat spots on the wheels? I remember getting massive flat spots on my Hyper Fat Boys from doing T-stops!
