      🙏🙏 thanks for the kind words! My goal from the start has been to achieve perpetual wizard motion, and it does feel like I’m pretty close 🙏🙏

    Do you have background skating in other disciplines like aggressive or even ice hockey? What I like about your style is not just how fluid everything looks, but the power and speed you execute with. There's no wasted movement..
    I dont have any wizard frames but am seriously considering picking up a pair and getting back into skating.

      Wow you nailed it exactly! In middle school I rode skateparks and played roller hockey. Wizard skating (the way I like to do it) sits right at the intersection of these disciplines and as I’ve gotten back into blading over the last 3 years, I’ve leaned heavily on those foundations and gained lots of confidence. Also I think there’s some credit to the Endless frames for having a very intuitive rocker that inspires a lot of trust in the wheel edges :) Good luck on your sports journey ❤️

    Amazing. Just put out a flatland practice video myself. Im nowhere near your level. Just learning the basics (gazelles and starting with the 1 foot variations)...Do you have any tips to swivel on the spot so smoothly? I find myself having the impulse to "lift" the skates a little bit. When I look at you they never come off the ground 🤩

      I'll go check out your video and see if I have any further suggestions to offer, but regarding your question about swivels and lifting, I would say that the focus should be on using the body to create the conditions where a lion or gazelle HAS to happen. There's a lot of friction in wizard skating and in order to overcome it, the whole body has to do the movement. This means instead of focusing on the feet and getting them to do the thing, focus on other things like shoulders and hips. Create a twist in the body, and with the right foot position, the swivel will inevitably occur. Over time as this becomes habit, instead of linking foot positions to create combo's, you'll be starting with the upper body, creating certain conditions and the feet will come afterward, doing the swivels with ease.

      @@billyarlew wow this is super helpful and makes complete sense. I have to commit to turning with my full body and not be so focused on the skates which is what im doing 🫡🥰🤝 cheers brother!

      Thanks! It’s a toe pivot where the rolling foot does a 3-turn/lion, very satisfying

    Can I do those tricks or similar on flat frame ? nice skill :)

    • @billyarlew
      @billyarlew  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It will definitely be challenging if you have a truly flat wheel setup, because the only pivot points will be the front and back wheels. It is possible though, to achieve a rocker using just the wheels. As they wear down, some will wear faster than others, if you put the smaller ones on the outside, you’ll achieve a wheel rocker. Just try to keep the wheel size differential within about 1-3mm for best results
