I really like your videos about bikes and history (especially since you gave the CBX so much love), but didn't pay a ton of attention to this series as I usually focus on more radical builds.
But after seeing this episode, I'm gonna go back and watch them all. You're showing what a dedicated and resourceful backyard mechanic can accomplish - and you're showing love for an underdog bike, which is great.
I think you're doing a great job of really demonstrating the process - the intellectual, physical, and emotional elements of a design and build - without getting tedious.
Thanks, and keep up the great work!

I think about this often, I know some people are skipping these videos because they prefer normal history stuff, but I take care to make these in the same style as those videos... all you have to do is watch one to know that

Hey man I have a question about the oil pressure light wiring because I'm building a k100. In the video (23:23') I saw that you connected the dash light ground to the green/brown wire coming from the oil pressure switch. Then you put the other cable from the dashboard light to the Aux 1 output of the M.Unit. Is that correct or did I do it wrong? The problem is that my light doesn't go out when I start the engine. Mutch Love for your build!!!

    • @Theillestrator1050

Right, You ground the light via the oil switch at the bottom of the engine and then you give the light positive power from any SWITCHED source; meaning any source that gives power only when the ignition key is turned on.
-check to see if your output is switched to something like "turns on with ignition only" on your M unit settings
-check that sure your oil pressure switch is good
-Make sure the ground wire running to the oil pressure switch is not damaged allowing the copper to ground elsewhere on the bike

Hey man i did it and the light wasn't on enymore. I dit the ground of the red light to the green brown from the oil switch and put the positiv from the light to aux1 output. Then i changed on the app to "turn on with ignition" but the red light dident go on. I checked every wire and didn't see any other groud point.
      - Is it possibel that the oil presur switch is broken becaus its not grounded and so does not close the cycle?
      - When i took out the oil presur switch how i see if its broken or somthing?
      - On my oil pump i have 2 oil presur switches. One with the green brown wire and the other with a black wire that goes on the oil presur switch that have blue on it. maybe it has something to do with that?
On my first time i wired it that the green brown wire form the oil switch goes to aux1 input and the positiv from the light to aux1 output. The ground from the light to the grounds on the framework. This way the light was on but wen i startet the bike it dindent go of. Maybe you now somthing and thankyou for the help.

Hello illustrator, I wanted to ask you how much did you pay for the actual software to fabricate that rear single-sided shock mount? I am very curious to how much it cost to get that fabricated, it does not look cheap! That's for damn sure, but it absolutely is necessary for that bike build, and it looks killer from what I see by the way brother! And keep the videos coming!
